Painting My Jeans for the First Time! ✦ Fabric Paint and Posca Marker on Denim

Inspired by the girls on TikTok, I decided to try and paint my jeans for the first time! I've never painted fabric before, nor have I ever used Tulip Fabric Paint. Watch me try and figure out painting on denim in this video!
I decided to paint a snake with some vines on the front thigh of my pants and some slime drips would be the painting on the back pocket of my jeans. This video is a lot of me trying to trouble shoot how best to paint on denim and trying to figure out if I can even use Posca Markers to draw on fabric?
I ended up laying some base color on the denim with the fabric paint, and then after letting it dry I went back and drew on my jeans with Posca Markers. It took two days which was longer than I initially expected because I had to let the Tulip Fabric Paint dry but the Posca Pens actually worked really well on denim and I'm so excited with how these jeans came out!

Hey I wanted to know if the posca pens washed off I have some and I was wondering if I should use them or just the fabric paint?

I haven’t washed them yet since I haven’t gotten a chance to wear them, but I’d say the fabric paint is definitely worth doing with an underpainting/base layer! If you wanna use the Posca I’d recommend heat-setting with an iron before you wash them. You could also always do a lil test spot and run it through the wash and see how that works
