2 tbsp salted butter
1 tbsp olive oil
1 tbsp garlic powder
1 tbsp onion powder
1 tbsp smoked paprika
1/4 cup chopped parsley - Розваги
I do mine the exact same way! I like a lot of paprika making the potatoes almost orange
Paprika is just food coloring has no flavor at all
@@Frank-dc2wo your so wrong lmao 😅
@@Frank-dc2wo You're using expired paprika
@@Frank-dc2wo Smoked paprika is so good!!
I never use regular paprika, only smoked
Don't waste the edges that were trimmed off..... throw them in too! My favorite part.
I was about to say the same
Most of nutrients supposed to be in the peel.
Your* favorite part. He probably threw them away because they arent his favorite part.
He didn't
@Cole What are you talking about?
I do mine the same way but if you use some rosemary or cilantro you will get such a burst of flavor.
Absolutely agree with adding rosemary.
But he didnt.
Cilantro taste like sope to some people.
But hell yeah
And you're fat?
Cilantro and a lil garlic
I like adding green onions to mine 😋
I like adding chopped onion to the potatoes when I start to fry them. I also sometimes add my "secret ingredient" for when I want to make them extra flavourful: I add a tsp or two of powdered chicken or vegetable stock. It adds a meaty umami flavour to the potatoes :)
Hate this new umami bullshit
@@kpj2224 Lol why? It's just another word for savoury.
@@marzipanmango lol i can't put the exact words together to explain why i hate it but i do
@@kpj2224 I feel you 😅
When a recipe says onion or garlic powder, I ALWAYS add fresh instead. A million times tastier, adds some texture, and much less salt as well. I don’t think I’ve ever bought onion or garlic powder, and I don’t plan to lol
I use baked potatoes . Keep them in the fridge and fry them up anytime!
Did this in reverse resturaunt that served baked potatoes
That's smart I will probally do that with my air fryer
Whaaaaaaaaa baked potatos are too mushy to cut them up an fry them lmfao
I even like the skins. They have vitamins. All my favorites. Thank you for sharing. 😋 😊
Not just for breakfast... BUT I do the same with sweet potatoes. A bit larger chunks. Boiled then seared in leftover grease from breakfast sausage and whatever spices tickle your fancy. I do cinnamon and ginger. Yum 😋
You can actually achieve the SAME thing in a single pan, without boiling them separately... When I discovered this it blew my mind! Heat oil and/or ghee in a pan, toss in cut potatoes and seasonings, toss to coat potatoes, add water to ALMOST COMPLETELY cover potatoes, cook on medium to medium high UNCOVERED until water boils off and the bottoms get browned and crispy... then toss and/or stir until the other sides are how you like them... SIMPLE AND PERFECT EVERY TIME!
That is how I have been frying potatoes for YEARS! I never boil them anymore unless for mash.
They are sooooooooo much healthier and DELICIOUS! 👍👍👍
But now that I read it again, I have to add that I hardly use ANY water, just a little drop only when I had the heat too high and they tended to burn. It’s important to keep a lid on and to find the right temperature: low to medium low. They are so crispy andndelicious, like fries but without the tons of oil. And I only use homemade ghee for pan frying. 😋
Whaaat is this real? This sounds too easy !
@freyjablue. I thought the same thing, but after my mom raved about this recipe for over a year (I think she saw it on Food Network or something), I finally tried it... It IS best in a good nonstick pan, and don't skimp on the fats, but it totally works! :)
Oooh I’m going to give this a try!!
@@maggiegoossens1894healthier ?
I enjoy cooking potatoes with sautéed onions added! The flavor and smell is , oh my goodness let’s eat!!
try, if you would, throw in the mix the diced polish/German style sausage ... I usually start with sausage first, then onions (plus sometimes chives) then add potatoes... the fried, runny egg or two... omg I'm now drooling 🤤 I think I know what I'm eating later on today... 😉😁
And chopped bacon
Yup, onions are a MUST!!
This is actually easier than home fries. A must try for Sundays.
I like them some what like those, except I have never preboiled the potatoes first. I will try your recipe soon.👍👍👍
I love that spiced combo, smoked paprika, onion powder & garlic powder or garlic...season with salt & pepper so yumm...I like the parsley nice to garnish. Tyou...
If you substitute balsamic vinegrette for butter it crisps up super fast and gives it a caramelized taste. It's incredible!
Thank you !! I can’t use butter or a lot of oil daily great idea for a substitute ❤
Here's a bomb tip: fry them hard first in a high smoke point oil like avocado, then add the butter at the end and stop cooking as soon as it browns a little bit (browned butter = flavor bomb)
Avocado oil is xlnt because it has a very high smoke point and no weird flavors..pretty much none at all
Balsamic vinegar evaporates fast and becomes sticky then burns . I suspect your potatoes are crispy before adding balsamic
Can't wait to try that, thanks
@Muzzy0085 yeah doesn't make sense to me, if you put it in a hot pan it just bubbles very fast and evaporates quickly, I don't see how it could cook for more than 1 min.
Adding some chopped onion and red/green/yellow peppers is next level for me!! 👍🏾🫡💯
You crushed a simple staple, love it. People try to overcomplicate stuff but this is what it's all about. Great content dude
These look delicious!
I was looking for a recipe like this but all was for baked potatoes. I wanted to do it on the stove top quickly. Love this recipe. And I'm gonna add some chopped onions. You're a life saver
That looks yummy!😋
Mhmmm! Looks amazing. I love potatoes 😋😋😋😋😋
Looks amazing!!! ❤️☘️✨✝️💯
This is exactly what I do! Except I add cayenne because I can't go without some heat
I highly recommend smoked ghost peppers, a tiny bit lol
Hi. I have been cooking since I was in my early 20s & I have yet to get mine to look like yours. LoL. I'll be using this video to make them this weekend. Thank you.
Looks so delicious 😋🤤
Very nice presentation. Looks easy and delicious. Thank you for posting this 💙
Definitely always boil your potatoes first that is absolutely gorgeous breakfast I would have liked onions in my potatoes though
Yummy !!!
You don't need to boil potatoes as long as you wash them and cook them.
Here is an alternative if youre willing to take a walk on the wild side. Use a russet potato first of all. Second. Use bacon grease instead of olive oil and butter. Its gives the potatoes a beautiful flavor. Also, incorporate a yellow onion. Start with the onions first and 6 minutes later add the potatoes. Also, season with sea salt and cracked peppercorns. Trust me it will blow your mind
Thank you! These potatoes are Jammin!!!❤❤❤❤❤❤
This looks delicious! I like to add chopped onion and bell pepper too
This is going to sound silly, but when do you add the onion and bell pepper? Do you sauté them first, then add the potatoes?
@@freaknutt33 typically you would sauté the onions and peppers first, particularly with the potatoes being parboiled as shown.
@@freaknutt33 You saute them first, then add the eggs
Try adding some cooked sliced mushrooms too
, as well as spicy sausage and cabbage for a satisfying supper.
Now this is a straight up recipe i can give a try. Looks sumptuous
This is a simple yet perfect recipe for fried potatoes of any cut. I discovered turmeric as another seasoning addition and it’s now in the starting lineup with those he mentioned. It’s so good!
Just made these and they were PERFECT. Super delicious! Thank you 😊😊😊
We use this recipe!! Perfect every time!
I make this at home at times as well, not exactly the same way, of course. It gets me excited for the day each morning I cook
I wish I had known to boil them first, all those years ago. And the skin is the best part (if organic)!
I cook these every Sunday when my husbands home for him and my kids, and I never have done this. And thought how lucky I am to realize it now! ❤
No need to boil. If you really want to just add a splash of water in the same pan you’re using. Once it dries finish with butter or a bit of oil to help crisp the outer layer. No need to use a whole diff pot and boil. I don’t even use water
Delicious. Thank you.
I'm found this recipe and instruction a few years ago. Absolutely great.
Almost perfect, they need onion and then they’ll be perfection!
He had it in there. Onion powder is better.
Absolutely!! Must have onion and I add turnips too
I saute onions and green peppers first and then add the potatoes. Man it's so good stuff!
No
@@dooolaay No it isn't.
I'll leave the door open. Please come in and do your thing and wake me up when it's ready. Thanks in advance.
I’m with you on that!!! (But please add onion before you deliver!)
@@donnagradel1791
There's no onion?? Oh. How did I miss that?? Gotta have onion!
Wow! Really simple and they look like they taste amazing, going to try this tomorrow morning thanks!
I made the recipe, and the potatoes were delicious 😋. My mom and I loved them. Thank you 🙏🏻
Thank u for inspiring my dinner tonight
Honey, you had me at "potatoes" 😍🥔
Yesss !!
I luv breakfast food..that looks delicious 😋
If you’re gonna boil them before you fry them, you might want to add a half a teaspoon of baking soda. This will make the potato, not so soggy more crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside.
The way the salt container opened up was satisfying 🤣
Yum!!! That looks so good!!! Love potatoes!
I will be making this Sunday April 14th 2024 for my kiddos for breakfast.
Guys , these were so flipping good , you have to try them , they take minimal effort and is so delicious
Gimme that breakfast. Seriously, looks delicious!
Yo Josh when I was really really depressed I started everyday with your instagram stories and it made me that little bit happier. Every single day, thanks ❤️
I hope you get better soon 🙂
Feel better ❤ Please know you are not alone in your struggle
This came out sooo good!!! I added a little bit of cayenne pepper at the end!Thank you!
After watching thousands of cooking videos and clips, it took almost 30 years to find someone who finally did everything correct as it's supposed to be done.
Try chopped rosemary, they are sublime 😍
I'm going to try this. Looks so good.
Looks pretty tasty ❤❤❤
I love potatoes 🥔 so versatile 😋
Oooo, they look really good, thanks!
Never tried adding paprika, I'll give that a shot next time!
Looks good!
So delicious, just made this
I love these fried potatoes you can spice them anyway fkr any fish so versatile and simple. I usually use russets and don’t rinse or boil them the starch itself will soften the insides and the outside will still crisp in a cast iron pan on med high heat. But for golds yeah u nailed it
Mine are similar, but I season with cayenne pepper, cumin and coriander.
Those look really yummy😊😊😊
Thanks follow the directions made the recipe everything came out great I just got a little too heavy-handed with the seasonings, but other than that that potatoes were crispy just like in the picture really great instructions. 👍🏾
Looks very delicious 😋
Just needed some onions and bell pepper 🤌🏽
Right
Mmm looks so delicious,,
Great video! Looks good and fresh!
Wow, I love this! Its my new favourite breakfast. Thank you so much.
I use to do this for the whole kitchen crew over twenty years ago. I had bacon it as well.
this looks and sounds to good to pass up, thanks for the idea, going to try it this weekend.
These are amazing for more than breakfast as well
Those look perfect!
Holy cow dude. You just popped up in my feed out of nowhere.
Years ago I loved watching EpicMealTime. A few years later I saw you on TV at work, also by chance.
I think of you guys often, and miss those old days, as it was my best years of high school. So this just blew me away!
I'm glad to have stumbled upon you once again!
This is the way to do it I have always been a huge breakfast fan I can literally eat it three meals a day everyday of the year and never get sick of it I've worked at a few breakfast and lunch diners and this is how they get that flavor you have to boil the potatoes maybe not cut them up so small the places I worked just cubed to them into chunks but they were also doing like 10 lb at a time so
Holy smokes! that looks amazing
I can attest to this. It really does taste good. One of my go to potato preps.
Wonderful dinner.
Dinner??
I have the same pan. It is really nice
Looking great 😊
“I start by wasting a quarter of a perfectly good potato…”
Can't please these internet people
Like why did those first parts have to get trashed🤷😂
Only in America
@@imani6547not even bro is on his own for that one
You can use them too, Why Yall getting so pressed 💀
I use steak spice to season my homefries! So yummy!
Love it! Be well, Alex
Yep, sounds delicious 😊
Yum!! Looks delicious!!
Yummy !!! 🥔🍳🥓🤗
So glad to see paprika being used, that was my Mom's go to thing.
Love it girl!
I love this! I never thought of boiling my potatoes before frying.
You can add a little water to pan after frying, potatoes will absorb the water and soak and the seasonings more.
Called Par Boiling, he did a way simplified version, but essentially it enhances the crispness of the potato, i have no clue what this alicia person is saying. Add water in the pain youre gonna double your cooking time on accident.
I usually prefer hash browns over potatoes cubed up like this, but i would order these without thinking twice, they look so damn good!
My fave! Love this❣️👍
My mouth is watering 🤤
a little tip to cheat out of boiling the potatoes is to microwave them whole just as u would a baked potato and let them cool enough to get starchy and firm. the starch helps them brown, none of the nutrients are lost and prep can be done ahead and stored in fridge until ready to use! I always keep a handful of baked potatoes in the fridge, ready to use.
NO MICROWAVE
Even better using sweet potatoes! 😋❤️
Mmm idk if it’s the same thing
Looks delicious 💯👏👍
So awesome! My mom taught me to make them the same way👍. Boil potatoes til soft and saute onions at same time then the potatoes go in the same pan👍. I use a grape seed oil and lots of paprika, garlic salt and pepper 😁👍. Your potatoes look fire!
That's some Good stuff, I add diced serranos and purple onions, some time cubed honey Ham, Bam!!
Oooo ham that sounds really good 😊
Boil them in chicken stock very slowly instead of water! Thank me later!
Oh how did i never think of this, i assume the flavor soaks right into the potato
Then it would taste like chicken... 🤢
@@SICresinwrks it’s delicious. Honestly one day I tried it making soup I’ve night. Had left over stock and potatoes so I threw them in to soften them. They’re delicious.
Then I save the stock and use it for my dogs. Instead of just wasting it.

Oh man, those look SPECTACULAR!!
I remember when cutting potatoes they went straight into the fryer. It's worked for years!
