I miss the old days when you had 2 latches and you lifted up the hood and you had everything exposed
+Cory Coulter the good old days
@@4SeasonBros You mean the days of Leaf Spring skis on only 3" of rear suspension travel ?
@@mikeskidmore6754 I have a 1960 ski doo.
The new cat panels are the best thing ever. Look up 2018 cat hood removal
You mean like 80% of the other snowmachines on the trail?? Lol.
Great work, that's a clean sled. My only recommendation for your video's would be better lighting, but overall these are well done video's.
On my 2014 Skidoo I hit a steel pipe under the snow and wiped out the front end with 50 miles on the sled.. I took all the front off ,, but I think I did it panel by panel not all in one big piece.. Seems I left the Instrument panel in tact but I really can't remember back to 2014.. I have it partially apart now and plan to take it off as done in this video ..
I maked all the sizes os the torx screws with a sharpie and marked the ones that need to come out to take it apart the way I did .. I did it the hard way not knowing how to do it this way .. Which I would say is the "correct way "
Looks like a whole lot of fun putting back together.
Its easy
I was really hoping to see the bottom of the hood, i have an aux led below the main headlight, i installed led bulbs in the main headlights and now my led does not work, im trying to see how the led wires and if maybe something came loose, this was a dealer installed accessory
Thanks! Now going to remove my hood!!!
Np 👍
Can you buy sleds with the old style hood? Two latches and everything exposed.
God forbid I ever have to change a spark plug in a shitty snowstorm
hello do you have the same kind of video or procedure to remove and clean exhaust valve on 2018 850etec. tank you
man the amount of screws arcticat is so simple compared to this polaris is even simpler but sometimes more is better ??
Ima snowcheck a 2023 ski-doo renegade 850 xrs 137
Awsome
Do you know a part number of the covers on the handle bars. I like that they are see through. Do they work good. Keep warm. Great video b y the way.
No im not shure
Un screwing here and there.... like on the XM just a few less T25, but I do miss the old days....
The exhaust pipe is quite ... OVERSIZED !
Good video thanks
No problem!
Crazy design ! How bout a hinged hood again ?
Would be amazing!
Seen many gen 4 good removals but never seen them replace hood
You meen replace it if it were smashed?
Wow. I really hope I don’t have to change my plugs when it’s -30 at night, snowing, and I’m a little tight.
The etec are really great on spark plugs never have changed one under 10k km
RJ911, what do you use for the spring removal tool?
Jim
Manitoba Canada
Awsome you still remeber our old name spring pullers
And that's how it's done! Thanks, great video.
what kind of side mirrors are those? also do you like them?
Do you have a video on how to replace the bumper?
I do not
Isn’t it a 17mm instead? I gotta do that to install my skid plates.
How a bout a 2014 Model is that a Gen III ???
I would asume so
Polaris made it so much easier, this is a total pain in the butt to do. I can't imagine having to change sparkplugs on the trail with this sled...
When was the last time you have seen anyone change plugs on the side of the trail...... 1996 maybe ? New is always better
@@dr.curious5136 With a 2 stroke you change plugs every year if you fog the engine...have fun doing it with the skidoo
No you do not have to change plugs every year been fogging the etec for 8 years and still no problem with plug
This is nuts why are snowmobiles like this now?
Idk
@@4SeasonBros maybe its to do with handling on a machine? engine higher up and more center to tip it side to side easier.
Then you figure out you cant get into motor to even change a set of plugs. Lol
Simple?!
Wow...what a pia
Pia?
OMG a shit load of work just to get the cover off. Have they seen the Polaris or Yamaha and cats.? But then still only sled with
no LED lights
Hopefully it will be introduced in upcoming years
chas f i prefer halogen less strain on my eyes
LMAO Ok
@@4SeasonBros Halogen bulbs make heat and can melt the snow off from the lens. .. I wonder if LED lights will get buried with snow ???
Not to shure did not buy the led they are very expensive
What a nightmare come on what do you think of Engineers can't you make it easy
To much work on that. I should know. I have a 2018
Avec les années ski doo s'améliore pas toujours
Would never bye that crap for that reason
