We came to an Era where the tools to make games has become better than the games produced with the tool.
Just a theory here, but perhaps the tools to make games are better than the games produced by the tool because we have tools producing the games made from the better tool?
TBH, I think the game are already too detailed.
Games are getting better graphics but worse stories and gameplay. Soon we can rename "games" to "paid graphics demo".
@@LordKosmux they’re basically, to say- ‘'Interactive Movies'’
With some wind movement of the foliage it would look real.
😅 Look at you trying to sound smart around the foliage.😂
@@knowledgeadams1150 but its true :)
That was my first observation as well. I mean critique-wise, "freaking amazing, just needs wind moving things around."
not alone movement but also atmospheric effects, insects, dust and so on. The engine is capable to go much higher with particles and other stuff but for the sake of a tech demo, which should run decent on many actual pcs, not only super machines, it's good enough, though
Thats what i thought. Leaves and trees are a bit rigid.
That snow is insanely well made. It legit looks proper
As soon as DLSS is ready for UE 5.4 we will provide access to these projects. A bit buggy currently, but with GPU settings and DLSS, 5.4 can be accessed via lower spec PCs.
Very pretty!
The lag when the camera is moving is pretty annoying though.
A bit more realistic wind with small movements in the foliage would make it even better also.
It's called Motion Blur and needs to be reduced about 50%. I Agree
@@TommyGunsDunleavy motion blur should be off by default. it is obnoxious and I've never seen an acceptable implementation to this day.
@@TommyGunsDunleavy Motion Blur needs to be removed from every single game on earth. If you play with it and like it, that's fine but if you stream, record or otherwise upload any video content... no.
Also, this guy recording was using a controller to move. Yikes!
you're never happy you really piss people off at times omg
Looks great, camera movement is killing it though.

This looks incredible!! I would love the next Tomb Raider to look like this
Prepare yourself to spend 50k euros for the hardware.....
@@guidorovelli1888 lmfaooo BS. I have a 1,3000$ laptop and it runs all new UE5 at ultra. So clearly our new gpu aren’t that expensive
Why not, If You can buy RTX 4090 or 5080 at end of the year.
minus the 1st person perspective
@@guidorovelli1888 start investing time to learn pc hardware you have no clue about what you are saying here.
This is astounding .. I’m 50 and I thinking back to my Amiga at 17 or my zx spectrum at 11/12 .. I honestly would not have thought it would get this good so soon as it looks like a film someone took in a tropical location not computer graphics 😮
I remember playing with Intellivision, thinking that was advanced technology. 😜
Ok! This is beyond mind-blowing! Can't even come close to imagining the amount of work done in this! Artwork and design, Animation, lighting, sounds! Wow!! Incredible!!
Without foliage movement, feels like when you pause a game in theatre mode
I got cold looking at the snow scene. Insane
It's like watching a medieval Halo following that glowing orb - reminds me of the care taker humming and whistling as it guided you along .
Hi. Can you show adjustments for recording this gameplay (electric dreams) ? takerecorder? camera settings? and of course drone blueprint.... So need it.... Thanks a lot
Demos and some games sometimes let you look directly into the sun, without shielding your eyes and without incurring any penalties. I think some interesting game mechanic could be derived from changing that.
Gorgeous snowy night!
Very cool!!! What computer configuration?
From Pong to this is pretty stunning.
Wow, gaming is about to go to the next level.
a couple things I noticed that would make it even more realistic but I feel developers do not pay that much attention to:
1. there is no wind and the vegetation is not bouncing like it should, the static ambience is not realistic
2. the camera movements are too brutal or sudden, no human sight moves like that so it feels like it´s not a person behind the ´´camera´´; you can see that specially when the character is walking, check 3:53
The wind is what is often missing in these types of games. Ultra-realistic in the textures, certainly, but not at all representative of the constant movement that reality provides. Even when there is "no wind" strictly speaking, it still moves.
go pro
Hi. Thanks for the video. I've tried all the playable demos before, except the "Winter Environment". How come your recorded video is a bit different from the one on ArtStation link you provided? The playable demo level is not the same, and you also have the Morning scene option.
EDIT: never mind, I found a newer version (v2.0). Just please change the ArtStation link - artwork Id from "lRXGPz" to "g00QmQ" in the video description, so others can also check out the newer version.
How are you getting these Demos man??? Kindly add links to project Demos!!!
uncharted 5 in that jungle
only one thing left for one more step in reality - grass and trees not moving at all in all videos. It makes that screens deadly nice
Yes looks amazing, but I would like to see what a character looks like walking around that environment
Just Wow!
Well, I am wondering what minimal PC configuration is needed for making worlds like this in the clip? I have low end PC, i7 with 16GB of ram and G-Force GTX1660, with 6GB of graphics ram, and I am using Twinmotion, which is based on Unreal engine, but I can't even render with Lumen or path tracer, and I can't even start Unreal engine with my configuration.
this looks insane
This is unreal!!!!
Well it is an unreal engine demo 😳
i can feel the hitching though. need that nvidia dlss for unreal engine 5.4 plugin ASAP!
Best engine for demos
They should make their own game with their engine. It would probably be a Unreal winner.
The game of the future is a game where you can create your own game in the most intuitive way. Combine this and an AI assistant for example
@@Mrcarvalher I don't know if you are saying this as a good thing, you probably are. But to me it just sounds like less and less quality experience as time goes by. AI generated game would mean a generic experience, a 'Mcdonalds experience' era of games.
@@MarcusrafaelfetI'm saying it just as a thought experiment.
not gonna happen until Fortnight dies, they are raking in the money
@@Zuranthus yeah I know but just wishful thinking.
I currently studying unreal for 3 months now, and I'm addicted.
wow, that must be amazing - perhaps u will be taking it forward in a few yrs :)
@@davidstuart4915 Yeah, I will become good at it and will be helping companies who need my skills.
how on Earth could that snow scene trigger one of my memory 😂❤
Are these games/ demos i can download and play?
Just awesome Demos, thats all. Where are the Games?
Amazing graphics
Impressive.
Someone needs, NEEDS to remake the first Unreal in this new engine.
Insane!
Coming through the tunnel, I almost expected a Khajit to step out from the shadows demanding a toll...
perfect for VR combat area.
Pretty cool, wish they could redo some of the outdoor levels in Halo 3 with it.
I still remember playing the original Doom. Graphics came a long ways in a short period of time.
I loved the first doom, but graphics were horrible compared to this.
Looks real. That’s why Star Wars drama used UE5 for their VFX, like LED Wall.
Glad it looks so superreal so they can finnaly start focusing on how to touch things and breakability. Also game-devs could change back to look more into game quality than only looks. Which AA titles already do, while still looking very nice.
Cool. Can we get some good games made with this yet?
Also add some sounds of twigs breaking as we walk and more animal sounds.
I wonder what components will be needed to play such beauty in 1080p the sound of snow doesn't sound right, it's more like the sound of styrofoam rubbing
How much fps is city sample giving you?
waiting for games that look like this to finally be released
only to open a map and see 1000 "?" and meet a enemy and realize its the same brainded AI as in the year 2000. But "graphics!!!"
Really Unreal!
I would like to have seen some water scenes. Waves and lapping at the shore, and rocks, etc.
May be a waterfall too.
How to obtain the mountain assets in the video
it's all truly wonderful. Now all that's missing are the games...
Finally, I am assured we are living in a simulation.
now visuals are done now we need the real feeling of the air heat the ground beneath us imagine that in si-fi or fanticy would be really cool to feel the feeling of riding a dragon or the feeling of being in space.
Wish Square Enix’ FF7 team could master this and started the remake series with this realistic lighting 😅
amazing
the moving car doesn't quite feel a part of the rest of the scene, but I can't quite figure out why. Maybe there's no sense of friction when it corners?
excellent
The only thing we need now is forced natural camera movement applied to each demo. Similar to that used in "Unrecord". Right now it looks like Robocop is controlling the camera looking for a threat.
Maybe sound should be more focus on? The walking sound sounds is the same all the time on all surfaces. Also movement of leaves and when you walk against something.
would be amazing woth with more realistic camera movement and soundscaping.
The next Tomb Raider is gonna be f'in lit
excelllent!
25 years old BLADE OF DARKNESS has better lighting
É sempre assim, toda as vezes não passam de engano!!!
Hope new Tomb Raider's graphics soon :)
Looks good. But it doesn't smell half as good as the flowers on my balcony. Sad but true.
Запишите это видео в 60 fps, для хорошей плавной картинки. Картинка идёт рывками
Это движок такой, в плане оптимизации пока плохой. Посмотри игры на 5 анриле, они все не оптимизированы
What does it matter if we only ever see this kind of fidelity in tech demos
We need games with storyline and smartness.
Beautiful surroundings. Only thing that bothers me is that trees and shrubbery is completely static. No movement at all. Also, the second segment (starting with the fireflies and church remnants) has micro-stutter, which on a larger monitor (37 inch) causes motion sickness in full-screen viewing.
Требую "Смуту" на нём!
If they made games where the actual game play looked like this, we'd finally have something that beats the decade old crysis engine. I've never seen a game where the graphics came close to these unreal demos though.
First one is the Rivian demo without a truck
Don’t think we’re going to get this as common stream in gaming till maybe 2030 - imagine playing games with these graphics this in a vr headset with large field of view ? Wow. Bring on PlayStation VR3 .
These were all released ages ago for previous versions of unreal. What exactly is new here that is specific to unreal engine 5.4?
Графика потрясающе
Heading towards the holodeck
Just wondering how much money and how many hours went into creating just one of those segments. The engine is amazing, but at least from the outside, the effort and cost seem like they could be very high.
In the first demo lighting on water when viewed further away is wrong. In second and third demo light reflected from fire sources should flicker. But those are fixable things and games truly have come a long way.
This is what I’m talking about
Waiting for mobile version 🤩
First thing I notice - no foliage movement. That's the missing link here.
1:01 people make nVidia corp and UE5 to walk virtually in that kind of place, but aborigenis just living there 😅
So greatful CD Projekt decided to switch to Unreal Engine. Can't wait for the next Witcher and Cyberpunk games!
O M G (NO WIND...?)
Sony and epic lied to us, they said we'd get games that look this good
新作スカイリムが楽しみだ
It really only shines in the lush jungle scenes. The static rocks/buildings/cars etc basically look the same as previous AAA games with RTX lighting. So you need to ask yourself whether the ROI is justified by the cost of the hardware you'd need to run these demos/games at these high settings. And I'd argue that at least right now, it's not justified since the difference between this and current games not using it isn't so big that you'd really notice.
Are you prepared to buy the latest NVIDIA cards just so your game gets a slight improvement on graphics, that you'd need to really focus on to even spot?
Makes me wish I had put on some bug spray before playing...
Gonna beed an INSANE pc to render anything like that quality i a gave environment .. walk thoughts are one thing .. A fast paced bit of action and its gonna struggle
Wow
Самая красивая игра на компутере была Спектрумовская Элита.
It's nice but i must say my eyes hurts when it feels like it's rendered with what feels like 29,97fps :D would be nice to see this with at least 60fps :)
immersed 🎉
Fps how much 25ish?
Why are the motions so blurry..
motion blur
Next up we replace cameras and photorealism with eyes and brightnes adoption. Our eyes are very capable of adjusting to various lighting conditions. Game engines should foster that for deeper immersion. Look at the passages passing through tunnels. That could be improved upon, very much so.
yes, lighting looked poor and unrealistic
None of the plant life is moving, pretty clear to the human eye. I see 10 - 15 things they could do to make this a lot better
