THANK YOU for this video. These are my favorite type of knives, under 2.5" ideally for office carry. Small doesn't mean cheap. I'd love to see a part 2 and 3 of this!
Your channel rocks! So many knives in one video. You present a theme and you keep it moving. Every knife freak that’s trying to settle on the next purchase needs to monitor your channel. Don’t stop.
Just found and started watching your channel….I like your fast-paced reviews, seriously. I cant sit for most 15-20+ minute talks about a single knife which are commonplace…these fit my attention-span! Subbed.
Picked up a mini Osborne several months ago. Seemed tiny at first, but quickly grew on me. Lightweight, great steel, excellent ergos, sharp blue accents.
@@NeevesKnives Does M390 take a polished edge very well? I would like to send it to you for sharpening if so... and maybe one or two more that I could never seem to get a perfect edge on (S90V and D2) But I don’t know how to do that or what you even charge... Let me know if your interested, and what I need to know.
My favorite thing about the Chaparral is the cutting edge length is equal to or very close to the Delica and Para 3, but closed it's barely bigger than a Dragonfly. It's really the best of both worlds.
@@bestkoreanjesus I'm holding both right now, s110v Native LW, CF Chaparral. the sharpened edge length is pretty much the same, the Native's is a tiny bit taller. The Native has thicker blade stock and a taller, thicker handle so it makes the knife look a lot bigger. the Chap is deep carry, the Native isn't but you can get a MXG Gear clip. the Native comes in a few different steels and handle materials, the Chaps only come in XHP but they come in different handle materials. I can tell you I don't actually like my Native because it's too thick for me, but I'd probably love the fluted CF s90v version.
I'm slowly coming around to small knives. I seldom ever carried anything 3" or under, but lately, I've been packing a Para 3, a Sage 5, or my MBK Slayback quite a bit. I may have to revisit the Chaparral again, and give it a 2nd chance.
@Ryan Morford yeah that sucks. I live in Illinois and basically you can carry any folding knife as long as you stay out of Chicago and cook county. There’s laws by county but as long as your cool with the cops they won’t say anything about it.
I love my all black baby banter! I really need to get a Chappell. Kizer shard is also looking good. I have the de Lomé in black. That mini sheepdog is on my list to buy! Too small on the spyderco. I have the FF Prolic in black. They are coming out in nitro-v for the mini arch B. 14 versions of launch series.
Personally I am a knife collector that also have large (damascus) knives. But for EDCs a small damascus knife is far less intimidating. I have an EDC to open small stuff like envelops/boxes and plastic packages (oh, and no fruit since the damascus is affected by the food acids), not to threaten people. I like the video.
Great vid. I love the Chapparal I own a Chapparal, Baby Banter and Kizer Fire-ant (Slightly bigger but still small knife similar to the shard and 4 finger for me). I like them all. Another I would recommend is Kizer Lundquist Feist CF. Yeah, front flipper only but really really easy carry with light weight and closed profile.
@@NeevesKnives Ha, that might be a little toughness overkill for that size blade, but cool. I am hoping for a MagnaCut version! (or a MagnaCut Chappie. . . That would be pretty much the perfect EDC)
I think im gonna pick up a Kansept goblin I like the full titanium, I was hoping to see the Finch 1929 in your lineup , thats a nice little useful knife also, its built like a tank ,enjoyed the vid thanks!
My lil' native is my usual EDC. 2.5" restriction at work. Definitely appreciate the video. Any 2.5" knife with a 4 finger grip is worth looking into. Kinda wish there more more front / top flippers with choils in this size range. I'd bet you'd get a really usable handle. I like a little rougher handle texture on these small knives... don't want to send it across the room with the reverse flick.
Love a small knife but I definately prefer to be able to get a firm grip on it even if it sacrifices some blade length. Under 3" is what I consider small but just my opinion. Keep making sharp things fun and enjoyable.
I still have to do one of them I did a spin off but I've got another one coming, but I did a video showing my most used at the moment without the ones I had sent out to other channels
Probably not, I mean I just don't think it's something I'd like, I believe it has no clip. I think it's cool but not something I'd buy, if they send one then yes because I do think it's cool and it's definitely for a lot of people
@@NeevesKnives cool yeah it’s not for anybody right now 😂 I find fuck all for reviews one out of country and one sale video from Atlantic knife who’s videos I can’t stand 😂
Wharncliffe blades were made for cutting rope on a ship's uneven surfaces, on a mast for instance. I find they're kind of oversaturating the market at the moment don't you? I worked on fishing boats and a proper Wharncliffe should have a Marlin Spike for undoing knots. A modified Wharncliffe like the Kershaw Turismo is a much more workable than a straight edge. Especially for small knives. Just my opinion and I'm not always right, but the Good Lord Above knows I am never wrong! Bwahahahahaha BWAHAA, COUGH COUGH COUGH AACK!! ack whooo hoo sigh.
Hey I meant to ask you, not sure if we already touched on the corrosion resistance of dc53, do you think it would be more corrosion resistant than d2 by the looks of things?
@@NeevesKnives Let's see, .95% Carbon, it has 8% chromium with 2% Molybdenum and 1% silicon for toughness and silicon restricts Chromium carbides, so it was developed to be tougher than D2 as it also has .3% Vanadium to restrict grain growth something Silicon does as well. Now if the Chromium remains in solution and doesn't convert to carbides DC53 should be a little more corrosion resistant than D2 as D2 only has about 6-7% of its Cr in solution, the rest is carbides and in that state provides no rust proofing. While it is a little more stainless than D2 I'd take care of it around water especially saltwater. Silicon in steel btw doesn't make Silicon carbide as that would make it brittle, but the toughest steel made that I know of is S5 shock steel with 2% Silicon and 150 ft. lbs. of toughness on the Charpy notch test at HRC 59, drops to 80 lbs. at 60 hardness. 3V has 7% chromium that stays in solution and a woodcraft youtuber was surprised when I told him that 3V isn't stainless.
Small knives are cool but I love my huge knives. I find it very difficult to buy small knives. ‘Cute’ pops into my head when I see them. I’d like my wife to carry a decent small pocket knife but she refuses to. I’ve only just got her to carry a torch/flashlight.
Does anyone own a Samior mini? I'm looking for a keychain knife and Amazon has several that look decent ( for a keychain knife ) under $30. the HY002 and HD012 both caught my eye.

Man, I just won a TS129 for $90! I’m so excited to get it. Probably the nicest knife I’ve ever owned.... first m390 knife anyway
Hell yeah that's badass good for you
oh thats lucky ,knife isn't to easy to find and for 90 bucks thats awesome !
A dope knife for sure.

And as a bonus, at least for me, they have the wire clip👍🏻
@@sweetdrahthaar7951 yea that too. and if you take the clip off it fits nice and neat in a jeans watch pocket. nobody sees it at all.

Debating a chaparral or a native 5. i'd like to hear anyone's opinion as I'm new to knives.

I always carry a beefy overbuilt primary and a sleek little blade and I have most you listed, great vid bud.
All badass little knives! Good list, sir! ✌️
I did'nt see my girl mileah.
Love small knives, dont ever remember saying damn I wish Id brought a longer blade.
Great video..
Listing the knives featured in the description box is very much appreciated sir👍🏻

Small knives definitely have their place, and are usually better at the finer detail duties
Got the mini sheepdog and the de l’orme based on your reviews, love them both…. My best kizers so far , tremendous value . Thanks
Nice! I'm glad you like them!
That Medford almost sounds like a Zippo lighter when you flick it open. I love that sound. I'd like to have one of them.
Yeah it does lol

Nice selection! I have a few of these. One complaint I have with the mini-Archbishop is that the liner lock is pretty tough to access one handed.
Most of them are to small for my taste but you've sold me on that Kizer de lorme, added it to my list for sure.
Great content man!
The list🤦🏻♂️ As I watch these videos my list grows. It seems that it’s never less than a couple dozen.
@@sweetdrahthaar7951 I feel that lol
I also think the new Olight Oknife, Splint, would be one to make this list too! They're breaking in sooooo well!
I'm going to add the Nymble to the discussion if you please! Loving this knife more and more each day!
I'd say the Nymble is slightly to large for this list
@@NeevesKnives yeah, got through a few of the knives and realized these are more mini in size, not just small. Lol!
Quiet carry eddy, really great small knife
Holy crap dude! Almost 20k! I just watched you surpass 10k. That's insane, but so awesome! AWSOME JOB!
