"We don't know how to market you." 40 yrs ago was the equivalent of "You don't look like Lita Ford or Joan Jett. Great as they are...they don't shred like Joanna, and they ain't got them low down dirty blues either. She's amazing!
I remember sharing one of her videos on my Facebook quite a few years back because she was just absolutely killing it on a slide with standard tuning which is NOT easy to do. Now, in 2021, I have heard so much more of her music and she really should be much better known and it looks like she is starting to get the recognition she deserves. She's one of the few guitarists that makes me want to take another step up the ladder in my own playing. Nothing but respect for her and its nice to see she is a really cool person as well.
Joana, you are your music. When you play you become one with the instrument and the music. When I hear you play, I get chills and MUST dance. thank you. I am so glad you are being recognized more for your music/performance.
Her latest album is one of the best I've heard. She not only plays great, but is also a powerful singer. She knows how to pronounce Worcester as well, which means a lot to me.
Joanna you are a total badass. What I love about you is you are REAL no fluff, AND a phenominal guitar player. As a huge fan of Hendrix, you are at the top of my favorite and most impressive guitarist. Rock on sister.
We live in an age that values appearance to the exclusion of all else. Where talentless bimbos influence millions with generic tiktok dances but it takes a once-in-a-generation talent like Joanna 40 years to catch a break. Going to see her play this week and I couldn't be more psyched!!!
She is a truly great musician and she mentors soooo many young musicians now it's really touching to see. I don't know if the people there just to be entertained realize the enormous impact she is having. Love you Joanna!
if not for the net i would never have found her stuff. i love live music and she just goes for it and its great. glad she is getting recognition even if it did take 40 years!
What an amazing talent and I'm glad she is finally receiving a modicum of the recognition she deserves. And I know this was mainly about the guitar, but her voice - Janis Joplin is looking on her nodding her head with a smile saying, "You got it girl!"
She has that aggressive Blues style that I like. I like Joanna, she's real. I've been playing Blues for more than 50 years, very dedicated to the genre. 100% American from the beginning Los Angeles
I was watching her video Walking Blues and enjoying it thoroughly when my wife who does not care for the Blues in the least said, "Wow she is really good". That's what I call, being able to reach across the aisle.
Joanna is going to go down in music history as one of the top blues players....no doubt about it.....you go girl. And who would be the one tone deaf idiot that disliked this vid????
Put it this way : every one I show her was jaw dropping so hard, it was making a sound. Onya Jezza baby, you deserve all the good coming your way. Now... where can I find your CD...
@@Sarah-nm1lc Wow.. thank you ... At first song ...I could hear her signature lick and riffs there. So awesome. Thank you again ... I will purchase this album. 😊😊☺☺☺

Awesome guitarist and wonderful person.
I saw Joanna at Ralph's Diner in Worcester in the mid 80's. Always wondered what happened to her. Now I know.
I just found you!!! Wow!, Fantastic!

I just found this woman today. She's blown my mind. Hard to say why she's not famous, bc she blows Bonnie Raitt out of the water with one hand.
Why do I see you in my mind 7, 8 mos. pregnant & still shredding a guitar??? Go, baby!!
We love Her Music
