I’m actually started building my own crawler course today, it’s my first time ever trying something like this.
Have fun! I loved building mine.
It is fun. On my outdoor course I used blankets soaked in concrete. Shape and leave to dry
these are pretty neat, i can see a kid spending all day moving these around the house and playing on them. gonna get my nephew a trx4m for his 5th birthday, might pick these up too
My son does exactly that. The broken bridge is his favorite. He'll spend hours running trucks up and down the see saw!
Pick up a couple free rocks off the side of the road and use your money to buy parts 😂
That’s what I did. The coffee table is now covered in rocks and branches. But I’ve got 2 gates on it.
The wife is not happy.
But this is a way better idea if you want to keep you crawler in your house and don’t have lots of room
Or even cut up the amazon boxes or use toilet paper rolls idk

My plans (since I’m moving from AZ to OH) when I get my basement setup I want to do a track similar to yours, but use this kit as a starter for the foam setups. I’ll use trash to make a very similar setup. Now if only FedEx will give me my trucks, they’ve rescheduled deliver 4 times now, and I’ve been home all 4 days

The hook side of hook and loop tape applied to the bottoms would work great on carpet to hold them in place, for linoleum, I'd use some light tack double sided tape.

Just ordered some flex blades yesterday
For grip, what you may be able to do (if using on carpet at least) is get a stapler, and drive staples into it (but not 100% in) then clip the tops off so you have mini spikes. That’ll dig into the carpet so they won’t move around.

Good video, they look fun for a day or two, after that personally my kids and I would be bored with them. Affordability isn’t great either at$40 each. That’s my opinion. Could be worse, I get that, but we also make our own temporary crawler course in the basement using everything from Rubbermaid totes, laundry baskets, photo albums, dvd cases etc. and change them as needed. That said , these kits do have their place and I’m sure a lot of people will like them .

Honestly, I prefer your home built course to any of these quick fixes.
I do too. It is fun to pop these obstacles up in the living room for my son and I to use, but the modular obstacles aren't a replacement for my indoor course. More like a supplement.

No, they are too small for the 1/10. There would be no challenge for a rig that size
When your orange rig is fully flexed out the rear tires take on a angular path. They don't track straight. That's why it's slipping off. Most do that. Do full size crawlers also have that happen?
Good point. I don't know if the full size ones do. I doubt it because they don't get the same amount of axle drop these little ones do

They’re too small for the UTB18. The trx4m and other 1/18 trucks work, but the baby Capra is too big

Tough call! If it were me, I would open it up and run it (gently) and keep the box in good shape to display it in while it's not in use

I wish I did. I haven't dug into ours yet. I've seen some monster truck conversion kits out there but I haven't explored them much. I am hoping to start building ours later this spring.

Who make oil filled shocks for the AX24?
You have to make em
Mofo RC is the only one selling long travel oil shocks that I know of. Even those are much shorter than the stock AX shocks.

Most likely yeah. But these seem like nice quality. Personally I’ve been making a bunch of stuff out of old cardboard boxes plastic recycling and scrap wood.

These things are way over priced in the uk, so much easier and cheaper to make your own, built mine out of dowels at scale, looks way better and only cost £30.
