Heyyyyyy lovelies, in Wednesdays video you saw me create a tonne of different casting from one silicone mould. Including silicone inlays. I made super detailed and delicate Rose silicone inlays using the lets resin silicone. It is time to test them out and see if they work well with Resin. This was risky. I know that inlays can get stuck in resin and these DIY rose inlays are no different. will it work?

Your dark rose, Claire. Just wow! It looks smoky with wisps of smoke coming off of the petals. Almost like in the ghost stories where you see a dark specter or a dementor. Amazing!
You took the words right out of my fingers!! This dark rose is beautiful. It makes me think of a snow background where the rose is poking up through the snow with wisps of smoke or fog plus as you mentioned, the Dementors. It definitely has a fantasy vibe to it!!
Wow Claire, I'm totally with you on the monochromatic grey/green. It's ghostly and so beautiful! I also love the clear one as well. I agree with Tracey that the little bubbles look like tiny raindrops, so it's all good :)

I think inlays like these would be nice if they were just a little bit flatter, so you wouldn't get the petals trapped so easily. I think the black rose shows these can produce amazing results.

Just WOW! OMG! LOVING THE BLACK ROSE. It's got a vintage vibe to it. It's like something you find in the back of granny's draw. And the same with others the have a " I was once expensive but just need a little love please restore me" feel, but they are new. They are all gorgeous. Don't chuck any of them. You could do a full spring vintage range. If I had the right tools I would 😊❤. Love your work Claire.
I think the black/gray flower is striking! Like the antique cover of an old mystery book! I would just drop a resin rose in and skip the inlay for these.

This gives me Halloween vibes. The tiny ones almost look like weird eyes and the dark one look like a faded photograph of a rose cast in resin.

Wonderful video! Watermelon red was definitely the truer red color. No surprise on your favorite, you tend to like the abstract things and nothing is wrong with that. Yes it is always worth the effort to try things that might not work the best. How else will we all learn? The inlays did work, just not for multiple uses. But it's the only way to get exactly the look you were after. Never stop trying new ideas, life gets boring when you do.
Love the white with the haunted rose. A little goth-y too. Would actually like to see it with a dark background to see if it would be like a "hide-and-seek" peak-a-boo type of rose.

Definitely the dark rose is amazing, almost looks like natural stone, with the rose carved in it…The polyurethane leaked behind the small roses, when you removed the one, it loosened the other two….
My fav is the green as well but not for the same reason
That last one really turned out stunning. The other ones are different but if I ever do any resin I might just do it only once …😂❤
Claire, I'd just call the bubbles "dew drops" and leave it at that. I personally think the green rose would also have suited a dark purple background too, although I love it with the white. I also think the multi-coloured rose would look good with black, or a very dark green as a background, but then...maybe I just have strange taste. Thanks for another great video.

Yup, like the moody phantom rose - very goth. I do think the other inlays can work very well if you put enough of that first layer on. Try the background in a deep navy.....

Hey Claire! Love the Moody Rose. I love black roses. How cool would that rose look with red and a black/gray ? Please try it out! The little pink rose is cute. Maybe you can do another silicone inlay but with a harder type of silicone so the pedals would be sturdier. Great video!!

Girl you need to rub down your inlays with silicone oil then just attach them to the mold you are using it will prevent the resin from over pouring around your inlay plus you are able to fill in your inlay then add the resin on top of it of course the inlay will be on the opposite side but then you can simply pull them out and add your mica then cover with UV resin but I do love these!! Especially the ballerina one!! So beautiful!!

Always love your videos. You just go for it! I can see what you mean about the murky one. I like them all. I had no idea I was partially color blind until my 2 children(now with children of their own) kept trying to convince me the color I was showing them was not the color they and everyone else were seeing. Lol. I'm still that way but it's not bad. If it's something that I need to dress up for, I always get my daughter to pick the top or whatever. When I make my resin creations I'm on my own. Could be I'm not using my colors that go together. Who knows!! 😅

I think maybe not have the small pinkish roses at the center of a round pendant. I didn't have my glasses on at first and they looked areola-ish and I did a doubl-take 😬. I do like shadowy spooky/gothic rose the best though.

You could do it how you did it but use the resin rose? Just make sure there isn't any bubbles lol ❤❤
Love the ghost rose and the clear red and white cabochon!! Would a mold release help or a very thin coat of Vaseline . Very thin like mostly wiped off.

The black one reminds me of death. Although I am not a fan of roses, if I had to choose it would be between the large resin one and the pink ballerina. The red one just looks like a blob to me.
