What happened to you by the end of the picture?
Did the features beat you up or did you use them to give you a great experience?

@@Riidwaano I owned the B9 for a bit, but I had to return it because it had panel issues. Beautiful screen and a fair comparison to the 80T and x900h but it wasn't a good fit because we have kids and that increases the risk of it being left on or static logos on kids tv stations. Nothing against OLED's, they just aren't for me right now.

Just hooked up the new Sony X900h 75", and wanted to thank you for your review comments in this and the other x900h related videos. The TV shows up very well sorted and has more than enough innovations to keep this old audiophile/videophile. Set up was thorough and offers a great number of settings that even an old hound like me can enjoy that part. As for its capabilities with movies it performed well with the latest Star Wars movies (Rogue One) and The Force Awakens. Sports require a change to the settings menu for a few adjustments to the gamma and color adjustments. Overall, quite a good TV for the money! I looked really hard at the competing Hisense, TCL, Vizio, and LG LED models. Glad I bought the Sony!

I started watching some tv reviews as we recently needed a new TV to replace one we bought several years ago. Wow, seems super stressful and complex for so many who really get into it. It seems OCD by so many. I guess ignorance is bliss on our end. We just want a reliable brand with a nice picture(doesnt have to be the best) . We bought a 65 inch Q70R from Costco for $999.99. For an extra $65 we get 5 year warranty and we can return for any reason the first 90 days and for any defect the first two years in warehouse for a full refund. Picture is great all around. I cant tell the difference between HDR10 and DolbyVision. The differences are so small. This TV stuff can easily become a nit picky obsession. Thankfully this one is great all around for gaming, movies and cable tv. Thanks for your channel and not being snobby and elitist about all this stuff. Enjoy

This is a great list for anyone in the standard ~65" TV range. Those of us with longer viewing distances, where even 85" is barely passable have much fewer options. At those larger sizes, we aren't talking about a few hundred dollar differences, but thousands and unfortunately, the OLEDs don't even go beyond 77" (unless you consider spending $30k for 88").
Since prices are dropping, sizes are growing and manufacturers are consistently going up in size due to increased demand, I'd like to hear you cover that segment. Thanks!

Well, the brain can tell the images aren't right.
Put a photo on screen, zoom in, your brain will say That's Not right, we're supposed to be closer than we are.
So it doesn't matter what screen you buy your brain won't be fooled.
If its bigger than normal on screen your brain knows.
If you zoom in the images, your brain says its fakery cause its trained to be closer to the object.

Thanks for making this video, I am here to see the Gaming TV recommendations. While I like the OLED tech and offerings of LG CX and LG C9, I think I will stick with Samsung QLED just because I do have sunlight coming into the room for part of the day. From what I keep reading, QLED handles sunlight better and doesn't give that reflection on the screen surface. That means I narrow down to Q70T, Q80T and Q90T. It seems like the biggest bang for the buck out of the Samsung QxxT series is the Q80T model.

I recently purchased a Samsung Q70T model. If your a gamer getting ready for the new Xbox SeriesX/Playstation 5 due out later this year and your on a $1,000 budget. This one could be for you. I'm coming off a Samsung MU6300 from 2017 (just about $400 at the time) so going from that to this was easy for me to transition as the remotes are similar. This Television is excellent for gaming. Tested out my Xbox 1S model, I noticed a change right away, game play felt smoother, more responsive (tested on Skyrim and Witcher 3). The Low input Lag does make a difference as my gaming has improved. VRR, 120hz, Freesync, 1 HDMI 2.1 slot. Has what you need as a gamer going forward. I yet to try my 1X model as it is in the shop (getting new rims installed, j/k) but I cannot wait to see what Gears 5, Red Dead Redemption 2, and Metro Exodus will look and feel like as these games have some of the best Visuals on any console. A side from Gears 60fps, the other two felt a little sluggish on my past MU6300 so I cannot wait to test the Low latency on them.
I hope this helps out a fellow gamer out there with their decision making. Good luck and game on!

I have a b9 oled and 5700xt gpu and experienced a lot of screen tearing at 120 Hertz. Was so upset that it does not support Freesync. After a lot of testing I discovered that enabling triple buffering solves my screen tearing with little impact on the temperature. In so happy with my oled. I tried using a Freesync monitor but returned it to microcenter after finding 27 inch monitor to small for me to game on. And the picture does not compare to oled. So glad I got it late last year.

WOW! Mind-blowing, essential review! I acknowledge your effort beyond my words! A quick question: As a 30 years old, soccer and basketball lover, and movie-watcher, (no gaming), I'm torn between X900F($999), H8G($700), and waiting for H9G(probably $900-1000)! What do you recommend? Preferably without calibration :(

X900F because motion is still very good and generally, reliability is ranked "Best" by consumer reports. I'll recommend the X900F over the H9G as long as it's still available - simply a better made TV. H8G is 60Hz panel, so not as good for sports.

I went and bought the Hisense h9g 65"today the 2020 model and I'm really impressed with how black the blacks go. It's got to be pretty damn close to OLED!I think I got the
major settings dialed in, but I wouldn't mind if someone could point me to some settings that are generally good to start with, then I can tweak it until I get a calibration done. Anyone on the fence about this particular TV though it's phenomenal (given the price i paid 1300 tax in Canadian) and the h8 is no slouch either ,I had them set up side by side and they were quite close to each other in certain areas, but the 9 series just goes to another level with blacks and HDR brightness, the 9 series is well worth the extra 250 bucks in my opinion if you have the budget that is, if not the 8 series is a good compromise!
Hopefully you get your review asset SOON FOMO!
You're very likely going to add the H9G to your list is that damn good! Can't wait to see what you think!!

Yes it has kind of,If you try to call they will tell you they're taking pre orders only and starting to sell in June I believe, but I know the regional manager for this reseller and I got lucky and he sold me one of the several units they were going to use to demo in store, it was sealed in the box brand new.
So it's likely going to be 2 to 4 weeks still for mainstream.
The 65 inch h8g looked great as well, but the blacks were noticeably greyer ( but it still produces great black levels, just not on the same level the h9g does) compared to the h9g , but that's being critical cuz I was originally going to buy the h8g for $998 but then after an hour of playing with both models and watching a lot of test content and FOMO videos 👍I decided to pull the trigger on this bad boy. It really is an impressive set and I suspect they'll sell a lot of these. Like FOMO always says though you just have to hope you win the panel lottery! Uniformity looks great so far and no dirty screen effect when I was watching some reruns on ESPN of hockey and NBA last night to test motion and what not.

I would buy the q90r because it may have a hdmi 2.1 update in he future. I know what your going to say but I found a link that says that the update has been delayed which seems right to happen because of covid. Another reason I might buy it is because the one connect box at a more reasonable price. The quality is much better than Samsung’s 2020 Qled lineup. Also Freesync premium will give LFC which will be good for the 30fps unreal engine games and vrr for the higher frame games. Also the amd’s freesync technology will be a perfect match with the next gen consoles because they have amd cores. Whereas the LG Oleds have the possibility of burn in and I don’t change my TVs very often (about 7-9 years) therefore I probably be getting a qled tv also the LG TVs will have free sync but not native or premium I believe. Therefore q90r is my choice. However I’m waiting until the earc hdmi 2.1 update is out then I will buy. If you have any other suggestions or any corrections tell me because I don’t change often.

My question is the Sony 8h or 9g don't make it into my use case? If they don't what are the main reasons why they don't? I'm under the impression that they are super incredible tvs.... Let me know!

Yesterday I discovered your channel and wow congratulation and thank you :) I sub. If I can I would ask you for your opinion between the LG OLED 4K CX 55" and the Samsung 8k QN55Q900RB. I will primarly use this TV for gaming on console PS4 and this fall PS5, and will also be used as a secondary and sometime primary monitor for my PC. What is important for me is image quality ( I never tried HDR yet and would like if possible to get a great tv for this too ) then reliability at long term and would really like to have the better upscaling possible for when I watch older movies and play games on ps 1-2-3. Why my choiced was those 2 , the LG CX you put it first in your gaming and you often talk positively about OLED and their reliability especially since 2018 when they changed many things like the algorithm for riding them of burn in and such. And the Samsung 8K maybe it's not the best choice but I found it really interesting especially with it's upscalling. I have not owned an LG product in a long time because I always had alot of problem with them but I not a specialist and would be ready to give them another chance if you think it fits in the parameter that I spoked earlier. What do you think would be the best choice for what I said in my post. Thank you in advance for the time put to my question.

What this means is games at 30fps remain steady. Without it the are jerky so LFC or low framerate compinsation is great for the next gen xbox as its fully backwards compaitable and many games on ps4 are only 30fps so even the ps5 it's a real handy feature.
Love my QLED blacks are pretty deep and colours great. No blooming. And dont compare videos on you tube. I have seen them all and none come close to the great picture I am getting as they often twink the settings to make QLED look bad or not as good.
Mine in real life is better than what your seeing on you tube. It's something you got to see with your own eyes.
As far as burnin goes . Samsung are so confident give a 10 year warranty of no burn in. No OLED manufacturer can say this. And save yourself money with samsung wont need that 5 year burnin screen warranty your paying for. Samsung give it to you free.
I have read burnin is a hit or miss. Some get it some dont and like all screens it's a gamble these days.
