The labor should be equal to the crime......hard crime equals hard labor.

My grandfather had hard labor, up in Canada way before I was born, I'm 66 years old. You do the crime, you pay the time. He just drove the get away car. My mom only saw him once, he gave her a dime.

Incarcerated people here are spoiled. Booker and this people want them to have all brand new equipments and living in a five star hotel.
Try staying in a third world country prison😂.
If they don’t like being in prison, they shouldn’t did the crime in the first place.

Give a minimum wage but they gotta pay the 50,000 a year Acosta house them first so they don’t get a penny until they pay off the 50,000 that taxpayers pay why they’re on their vacation

These prisoners have a debt to society. They are getting three square meals a day a roof over their head and are more comfortable than 60% of the world's population. I have no sympathy. Nor should you!

OH MY GOD... The killer had to work 40 hours a week. "How did he survive"
He was paid by getting food, a place to sleep, clothing, and a roof over his head.
I DIDN'T MAKE HIM KILL, BUT I HAVE TO PAY HIS RENT, FOOD AND CLOTHING.

This is just one of the reasons it's a benefit to jailed American or throw is in prison. As long as there's a benefit corruption will always happen

Wish Cotton, Kenedy, others were made to spend a year in one of our countries hardest prisons, then let's have this hearing.. Remember how terrible they say the DC jails were for the Jan 6th rioters?

Innate room and board should be deducted from their pay. Sick of footing the bill for criminals.
Prison should be a form of punishment firstly, and without question. Rehab second.

The subject that should be addressed isn't so much should incarcerated persons be forced to perform labor services. But more so , why is the majority of the prison labor force African American in addition to how prison labor primarily targets minorities establishing the connection between the " Transatlantic slave trade " and the prison industrial complex

  • @bmxnc22
    @bmxnc22 3 місяці тому +1

I love how they try to equate this to slavery when slaves did nothing wrong to society, this guy killed a man and wants sympathy because person sucked. You had an opportunity to do anything else in life, you made your choice.

Those in prison for breaking the law, do not deserve a free ride while in person. If all they have to do is eat sleep and exercise then what are they learning? They don’t pay for the food they don’t pay for the cost of all the security guards that have to watch them day and night the taxpayers are funding the bill and they should do something to pay for their keep and they shouldn’t get paid for it because they’re getting free food and lodging.

Booker a master of euphemisms I thought most incarcerated persons were "career criminals". Booker calls them incarcerated labor? I am sure most of these incarcerated laborers or incarcerated workers rarely if ever had a legit job on the outside. booker doesn't say or break it down. booker must be joking, i hope. nah he is not joking. unfortunately. SPARTACUS is back.

Underpaid 😂😂😂 if they are being paid all that pay should go into running the prison, no free room and food or gardening services ir cleaning services. Their only ex prisoner is complaining about his time when he was 1st in jail 30 years ago! 30 years ago there was no cell phones! He probably had a beeper when he 1st went in, fml the world changed hugely, The prisons are not the same! fml laws have changed so much since his time, horrible witness why would you pick a person who was in prison 30years ago, hes not talking about his last years working only the beginning of his time
