Having lived on both sides of North America for over ten years each, Atlantic is far better from a North American perspective, and it's not close. Pacific is cold as fuck, I never could never wade out into it. Atlantic is warm, it's pretty great. Both have pretty good beaches though, if you never want to go in the water.
No kidding. The dialogue had me rolling, but he has to act like he's too cool for it. At least if people are watching the series they don't have that part spoiled!
@@pretentiousname01 Took me around 20 hours to beat, which is decent. Gonna likely be 18 or less for NL since he just skips the entire story. Which is a shame, the writing is excellent. It's also one of the reasons I've stopped watching him. I get players have different preferences, but buying a story heavy game and not even trying to engage with the plot is... a waste. It also strikes me as incredibly dismissive towards the devs, who have clearly put a lot of passion and effort into it.
I completed it in 23 hrs on hard, doing all the confidence goals and challenge missions up to the final mission (still need to do the post game missions).

Played the demo a while back. Fun game mechanically, but would like to see what progression/new characters adds. The writing isn't for me, the more I hear from the main characters the more artificial they feel. When I'm making dialogue choices based on what's the least insufferable, it's not a great time.
I love seeing these games, but I feel like they're horrible to stream because it's nothing but commenters whining about how you could finish in three moves instead of four even though you win either way
The writing is one of my favourite parts of the game, and it has many very very good parts. But on the bright side, I suppose it does help for the pacing of videos, and would keep the jokes from being spoiled to people who decide to pick up the game from these videos.
They went out of their way to make like ALL of the story optional. Seems like a neat option for those not interested in story based games, or especially for repeat playthrus / speedrunning

Plus lets be honest, watching you play Xcom is pretty much an ego boost for me because its pretty much the only time I ever felt smarter than you in something NL.
