I just scored an '81 Corolla coupe for $2500. It needs restored but runs perfectly. I couldn't be happier!
My first car...1981 Toyota Corolla Liftback 5-speed. I never backed away from ANY race. I was told that one woman said, "oh, so you had that white car???? I seen you so many times running 80MPH up and down this road!!!" Yeah, I did. :>
Cool 1981 Toyota
i got mine back in 96, lasted 2 years before it fell apart. whats funny is i have never seen one since then. there was one guy in town who had one. other then that they have all but disapeared from the chicago area
nice... I have a 76 upgraded to a 3tc.. running strong. 3TC = one of the best engines made by Toyota.
i had an 81 exactly like this and an 82 coupe (only one rear corner window per side) nice cars and just stock they really haul arse had no trouble doing burnoffs for those that like that sort of thing but i only did it once or twice just to prove it would do it didn't want to ruin the car 's reliability
Mines a 1985 nissan sentra with 120k miles on it right now, runs and drives, pass inspection no problems, well maintained and tune up
I owned a 1981 Toyota Corolla sport Coupe from 1981 to 1988. It was a great car as I got 198,000 miles out of it, despite a lot of stop and go miles. The second clutch was going out as well as the original five speed transmission, which would no longer shift into fourth gear. But the motor was still good. Also, 1981 was the last year of the five digit odometer.
I also remember that the EGR light would come on at exact increments of 30,000 miles. I thought that was kind of fascinating. In order to make the light go off, a mechanic had to reset the EGR switch.
Finally, your video was interesting, but you need to hold the camera still, or else have a friend hold the camera for you.
Marshall Curtis sorry for the camera moving around a bit. Sadly, I had some financial hardship and had to let her go after owning her for almost 3 years and only putting on roughly 5k miles.
I have a 1980 3t c 2 door corolla. Kicks ass. Converting it to LPG.
I have a 1981 Toyota Corolla with an airbag
i paid $1500 for mine, but it was missing alot but its come a long but ts nice and worth the money.
I have a 1981 Toyota
I have a 1988 Toyota Camry
I have a 1981 Corolla just like this but a 4dr and I bought it for 900 but put about 2,000 into it and its still stalling out when its in drive and when i stop, i forgot what the part was but i cant seem to find it ANYWHERE! Its a good car though lots of sentimental value to me
i wish i had the $ to buy yours i would in a second i love these
@timiza1975 Yeah, and it goes up to 80mph!! They will be lucky to get $500.
hola !! amigos toyoteros tengo en venta un toyota corolla familiar mod.81 con gnc grande tiene la junta del motor soplada
nice
did you draw 55mph in yourself??
lol why the hell do you have powersteering :D
nice corolla! how much did you pay for it?
sorry but i can't drive 55... Nice corolla tough
The worst shaky video I have ever seen
80 top speed lol. Definitely not free way friendly.
Ian Above my friend has a sr5 liftback that has a "max speed" of 85 and you can go 75 easy and even more than 85 mph easy. They did that back then just to make sure people were careful when driving. The sr5 doesnt even have the carburator working 100% fine and she goes really nice to that speedn and stays there
Nice car dude< do you still have it?
Any one have or know of a pair of seats for this type of SR5?
Clothe, dark blue with 2 stripes from top to bottom .
