Gah,this is magical.her wrists and hands so pure. Her voice then and now,is still wondering and whimsical. But voice nodules had to constrict her somewhat. Yet she pushes on to notes that I cannot strain.
2:25 oh my god is she crying? her eyes look glassy and she sort of struggles vocally a bit there. I could just be projecting though because I do cry with this song.
Aum Occbei I think she is. Given the subject matter and it being 2004, this must be fresh. I can't even imagine performing that. Hearing it without the Van Dyke Park compositions is so surreal, but it shows just how fast her songwriting style shifted. Grief does that.
may those with talent be blessed for the joy spread in the world.
God, this is amazing - the way her hands move is mesmerizing.
Bjork & Newsom? I guess to some listeners, all brilliant, pure and complex artists seem alike. I don't see them a similar in any other way.

I'm sure she is!! There are (lost) early recordings of all of Ys where she'll sob uncontrollably. I haven't heard them in years
@@beccastrobel5822How did you listen to them, initially?
Love your style and voice... Your also a babe.. Cheers
NOTHING BETTER! :-)
I S A L Y Joanna
Lol bjork is utter trash compared to Joanna. Joanna's lyrics, composition and instrument-playing skills dwarf Bjork's.
It's really great, but let's admit - a touch too derivative of Bjork.
