This is one of my favorite games ever, i even have a tattoo of it. In my first playthru a white one met me right at the beggining and guided me the whole way, they showed me every secret and every rune. In the snow part at the end, where you leave a deep path behind when you walk, they drawn a heart around me, it was so beautifull

If you love Journey, I'm sure you'll absolutely love Sky: Children of the Light which was made by Thatgamecompany as well! The graphics are beautiful as always and the story is amazing :) And I also do recommend Gris as well!

The sad thing is, she actually Did have a companion in the second level (the bridge level). When you see a white glow move around the edges of your screen, that means there's another Journeyer playing in that area. It disappeared though, so I'm pretty sure they moved on to the next level.

OH! I just had a realization! Like, when you ascend and become a "word of life" again, it is as if your experience is shared with those that just started the journey ... because we are the "words" that are gathered on the way! OMG Q_Q
in 2016 me and another traveler learned to sync up so we could journey together everytime we were on. taught me how to break the game borders and how to fly in this game. very fun. :) one of the few games i beat to completion actually.
gab please play gris, it is a game that had inspirations in journey and other games, it is an amazing game made in watercolor with a very beautiful and exciting message, incredible soundtrack and I believe you will love it, as well as you liked journey. 💜

I've played this game since it went out on the PS3, for at least 200 times. At least once a month, i launch it, get myself seated in a nice place on the first level in the desert (where you build the bridge to get to the next level) and just wait to see if some beginner will pass by ;)
I am SO happy you met people in the end. Pairing up with someone random and trying to stay together and communicate is what makes this game so great and I was worried you'd end up playing it alone again (with maybe one rando that spawned in and out without meeting up). When you kept walking from Bob, I kind of already assumed you'd lose him (if there's too much distance between two players, they often get disconnected), so bonus happy for meeting Ross and finishing like that!
Did this years ago. Great story told with visual setting alone. It feels like a pilgrimage or maybe lesson of tragic failure of society with all those ruins and relics.

Thanks for playing this Gab, I hadn't played it myself so this is the first time I've seen what it's really about. Years ago I had a friend at work recommended this game to me. If I'm being brutally honest I was a little put off by folk describing it as "a bit of a walking simulator" and I'm personally not fond of the aesthetic - seems i'm in the minority regarding the games visuals! As I result I let this one pass me by, and I can see that was a mistake on my part.
Such an amazing game. I remember playing it blind when it first came out and wondering what the "shooting stars" were, and didn't even know there were other players. Literally thought they were npcs. NGL, got choked up at the ending and teared up when I saw that those "npcs" were actual people. An experience that will always stay with me. :D

"Numbers" player you met in the Big Scarf Bidge Valey, but you didn't notice them. There was the telle-tale glow at the edge of the screen, indicating that they were behind you somewhere.
When it originally came out on PS3, PSN was free (for the UK at least) and PS Plus was just a subscription service so that people could get some PS3 games for free every month, so you probably just got unlucky (or players hid). I like how the story replicates what the real world is kind of like, they find a power source (the scarf creatures), abuse it until they started running out, fall out over what remains and then go to war to claim what remains, killing mass numbers of their own species in the process. I also applaud the design choice not to allow players to actually talk to each other (via microphone), but instead give each player a unique symbol and a simple button press to communicate.

Journey is such an interesting game in that you need cooperation in order to complete it. But you also play with complete strangers. At the end of the game I cried, not afraid to admit it. Then I later friended the guy that I met and now we’re good friends. This game is also gorgeous

this is one of my all time favourite games and ive been playing it for years .. on my ps3 i have a white robe and i aaallways guide around the ppl w less patterns on their robe cause im assuming they might not be familiar w the game. i chirp at them non stop too to make sure they know im being nice:D when i first started playing this on like... my second or third play a person was guiding me around and was being so nice i rly liked them i got the biggest scarf possible and we finally got to the snow part.... dude and i got to the lantern at 1:05:35 and they suddenly started chirping near the walls and the corner... then they went through the wall. i was like WTF and cause i was rly trusting of them i followed suit and got through the wall as well thinking maybe they know a shortcut lol .... and now we were outside the map..... and they kept going and they made me break the game so badly i couldnt see anything but white and little footprints, but the scary music from the robot dude kept playing and it was so anxiety inducing i had to force the game to end hhhdshghjdg.. i wonder if thats been fixed lol god i still remember the feeling it gave me it was HORRIBLE. so just in case someone gonna play this and someone tries to go outside the map do not follow them lmao.
actually now that i think abt it im not sure if it was that section but it was some kind of wall they went through near the end and it was so frustrating that i couldnt get my ending for that playthrough because they broke the game for me lol.... what a dumb trusting kid i was.
I love how she didn't get her twin character in the beginning of the game. When I played it I got another character that would follow me throughout the whole game.
You met companion 1015336134 at 11:31, that light at the left corner of the screen was them, but since the light never got bigger and there was no chirping sound I guess they never saw you or didn't try to call out to you, so eventually the connection either got lost because you got to far away from each other or they disconnected from the game. Anyway, I 100% recommend you to play the game at least 3 more times on the same account because at the fourth run you get the full embroidery for the robe, and if you get all of the Symbols (the ones that increase your scarf size) you get a white robe, which has a longer scarf and is able to regenerate the flying powers by itself- and no, you don't need to find all of them in a single run, the game saves your progress from previous runs as seen by the lit stones at the areas the character sits to meditate, so you don't have to worry about that. And btw the game someone in your chat mention that is for mobile, Sky: Children of the Light, is available on the Switch now if you want, it has a similar friend system from Journey, though it seems to have more to it in terms of communication, plus you can give each other gifts.
If you haven't heard of Rime you should look into that as well (pretty sure it's on switch). Kind of a feel good game but with some intense moments and graphically similar to this.
This company also has a magnificent Mobile version of this basically but with a lot of different environments ! Check it out if you loved this its called SKY: children of light
