I'm glad you uploaded your video man, watched the other wheelie tutorials on youtube and thought it's not possible to get a decent wheelie with the cbr 500.
Start in 2nd at about 4k my dude. Instead of trying to switch right into 2nd from 1st. I have one of these bikes and the 1at gear is shit. I hardly ever even use mine. I roll off stop lights sometimes in 2nd lol. It just needs a little more throttle to get it going
Hahaha, You might not be dumping the clutch. Maybe you're scared of dumping it and not letting it go completely. If you're dumping it around at least 5k rpm, it should definitely pop up a little. Also make sure you're going under 20km or 15mph. It's easier the slower you go.
not enough gas, bump the forks a little bit, dump the clutch and pull up as they rebound. You're not gonna get much of a wheelie giving it a quarter gas
I haven't really been able to ride it in balance point for too long, and i'm scared ahaha, but I'm sure if you had the balls you could click it up to 2nd.. im just SCURD :p
@@ethanontwo2506 damn here in the uk the learners can only get a 125cc :/ i recently just passed my second licence which restricts me to 47bhp so i was just able to get the cbr500r next year i will have to do another test to finally be un-restricted
Go to a hill and practice it will be a lot easier on the equipment and yourself riding uphill and riding them. You gotta learn to shift gears and ride at the balance point.
On a hill there will be little chance of dropping it, you won't need to rev the engine so high in first gear, you can just lean back and pull it up in second. The front wheel will drop instantly when you let off the throttle, that's the beauty of wheelying up hill. Thats where dirt riders learn to wheelie so well. First gear wheelies are always risky on any bike.
Hey, what year bike have you got? Askin as in the earliest years there was an issue where the fuel sensor or fuel pump could off. I have a 2019 now and ngl id like to try it. But i also dont wanna break anything yknow? 😂
Hahaha I would but, i don't get much time off because i just came from a broken knee (not motorcycle related). There's plenty of facebook groups that will be keen!
Hahaha thank you! Its a musarri slip on exhaust. I actually bought the bike with it already installed so, i dont have much info on it. Sorry, hope it helps!
@@manbiteslife3110 recommended doesn't matter much if you just wanna get to a lot and practice wheelies. Recommended for my bike is 42 as well and I run 34. But I do it to have a soft tyre in general not for wheelies
Yes brother, I learned now. I was a noob back then. @@libingmeme8474 34 is way too low I only run that on track. Also bike type will differ how you pump the tyres.
Well if you don't want to do it, I suggest you don't. If you want to overcome the fear.. you're just going to have to try the "power wheelie" to bounce the front up a teeny tiny bit. In all honesty, it's not even as high as it feels. It took me ages to actually get ballsy and lift it completely.

Aye bro thanks a lot ♥ , i honestly thought the same thing. And the channels that had decent wheelies didnt rewlly go over much or channels were dead.
Alternative method...
1. Get heavy passenger
2. Accelerate
😎
no joke, I own a cbr500r, same year and colour as his, and the only 2 times the front wheel has come up is when I have a passenger
@@captainfluffybear9163 you have good taste 😋
Another tip I learned from wheeling the bike is you gotta look straight ahead, not steering wheel or ground, cause you will go there. Stay upright.
