Yeah but then prices can go up. Here in Europe you can get a low cost flight between capital for less than a bus ticket between 2 cities in the same countries. I’ve seen Lisbon to London for 17€. Even regular tickets are usually bellow 200€. 20 years ago a plane ticket to where I studied used to be over 350€. Same flight now costs 143€.
They definitely need to make the conditions more realistic. Not use smoke in the tests, but maybe use a fog machine. The seat size & spacing 100% is a problem. In a crash, the seat in front of you could cause a traumatic brain injury.
Let me tell you, those of us 65 and over can truly struggle just to get up from an airline seat. When they are packed together with hardly any clearance in front, it's much more difficult. A scenario that once again leaves the elderly and disabled to die in an emergency. Shame on them, they KNOW that!!
lol, I'm 6-5, 242 lbs, 79, I can't even get a typ airline seat belt to go around ..yeah seating sucks, but for 2 -3 hrs only on typ domestic flights. I don't want any food,, just want the pilot to "put the pedal to the metal" lol
The FAA could easily mandate minimal seat width and sizes for safety, but they just won't.
