    Purchased: August 2023 - still works GREAT!I ua-cam.com/users/postUgkxxsUnXhGsSJLim_XnMHyQK0u3XVaW-CGn live in a studio and during the summer it gets scorching hot - really old building with no ac units. I can’t express how EASY it was to install. This unit has been a life savior during the summer and some days during other seasons where it can still be a bit warm at night. In this small place is my friend, a husky, poodle mix and myself. We need AC - lolI don’t use the dehumidifier option - I’m not sure if it will leak in my house, since I did not install the small draining hose that came with it. May look into it late but I don’t worry about much humidity in the apartment. I don’t understand why the negative reviews since all things mentioned, I personally did not find issues with. Definitely worth it!

      Aluminum for coils is a bad idea. Very diff to repair and burst pressure is lower than that of copper. Just because it passes the test at factory, doesnt mean it will be fine for years

    A refrigerator can run for twenty years without any leaks whatsoever, yet an evaporator leaking one half of an ounce a year is standard and acceptable? Why?

    • @ericmendoza8243
      @ericmendoza8243 Рік тому

      I would assume the operating pressures is the biggest reason. Standard 410a pressures on a warm day run around 120/330ish so all the connections are under higher stress since freezers can run around 15/140ish while running.

      Only with goodman! It’s trash buy a carrier or Ruud/Rheem two best units made right now! They also started using crap compressors and broad ocean evap motors trash trash trash!! Oh and new refrigerators ain’t lasting close to 20 years😂 when I started in hvac 25 years ago I was pulling out GE and carrier units that were 35 + years old still running and holding charge today you won’t find a unit that will last more than 15. It’s all trash but Goodman is the worst! But I make good money repairing them so keep up the great work guys!

    And every aluminum coil will begin to leak where the aluminum is brazed to the copper pipe. They know this. That’s why they melt that rubber sleeve around that joint and it still doesn’t help.

    • @georgewelker853
      @georgewelker853 Рік тому +1

      Sure eventually, but being in the industry, it’s not the copper to aluminum joints that are the problem, it’s the process of brazing the U bends on the aluminum tubes in the coil slabs that have been the problem with these coils industry wide.

    • @charlesterrizzi8311

    Wow, I see even back when this was filmed 8 years ago there were companies trying to make themselves look woke and Progressive inserting additional women into there videos that are for public consumption, as if there are naturally tons of women seeking grueling, dangerous, and often boring jobs working on an assembly line in factories and heavy machinery manufacturing. That work is hard, dangerous, loud, riddle with toxic chemicals and sharp edges, and it often sucks or at best is my numbingly boring. Did I mention dangerous too? Of course, there are some women who will do it. But I just find it funny how videos like these try to make it look like those women or anything more than 3% or 5% of the people who voluntarily choose to do this stuff.
