There's no way you can read the whole chapter of John 6 and come to the conclusion that it's communion

    Stay away from catholicism.
Stay away from idolatry & fanaticism of men.
    Follow Jesus, become a Christian.
Identify yourself with Jesus Christ not with institutions of fallible men.

Ryan is the kind of guy that is the unbeatable boss at the end of a video game, only to come back 15 years later and you still can't beat Ryan. My man knows every source!

The Word of God is our daily bread.

My biggest concern about Roman Catholic Eucharistic practice is their adoration (worship) of the Eucharist. Which means they are rendering worship toward an _image_ of a wafer of bread. The Commandment says not to use any graven (man-made) image in worship. Whether Jesus is Really Present is immaterial; the Israelites believed that the golden calf was really God who brought them out of Egypt, and they sinned.
My second major concern is their belief that the Eucharist elements and Jesus' sacrifice on the cross are _one and the same._

    Catholism is way off course.
They say your salvation is based on faith and works, but you can't buy your way into heaven by doing works.
They also pray to Mary and the saints when the bible says to pray to Jesus

Good point ❤ the bread on the table it’s not literally Jesus body if it was I think that would go against Old Testament law

Great video as always, brother! Thankful for your work and the love you show to everyone regardless of background, always pointing them to the truth. One question regarding this topic for you is whether you hold to the position known as spiritual presence or not (I do), and what evidence do you find in the Bible for one position or the other. Blessings!

Please keep going at this. We need more intervention sophisticatedly and how it's explained. Thank you so much for sharing the Bible so joyfully fierce.

This is the biggest reason why I know the Catholic Magisterium is NOT infallible. They specifically say it's ok to NOT obey Christ during the celebration of the Eucharist.
Jesus commanded us to drink the wine too. The Catholic Church says you don't have to obey Christ.

How about the pharisees questioning that it is the real blood of Jesus how does Jesus respond to that. Because I'm not sure if He means His literal blood and body or methaphorical?

You're thinking of the end of John 6, which as the video showed isn't talking about the Eucharist at all. The people who wanted more physical bread to fill their bellies interpreted Jesus wrongly by taking his words literally.
That is often what happened, people interpreted Jesus literally when he was speaking spiritually (like "Beware of the leaven of the Pharisees", didn't refer to actual bread but their teaching).
So after they took offence at him in John 6, Jesus explains "It is the Spirit who gives life; the flesh is no help at all. The words that I have spoken to you are spirit and life." (John 6:63)
So Jesus makes clear he is speaking spiritually, not literally about eating his flesh.

The point about how some Catholic churches only do the bread was a safety addition for covid. Those churches do not speak for all Catholic churches.

    • @NeedGodnet
      @NeedGodnet  3 місяці тому +28

Actually it goes way back before Covid. It was declared at the Catholic Council of Constance in 1415 that it was forbidden for priests to give the Eucharist in both kinds to the laity (non-priests).
It was a decision that was also confirmed in 1562 at the Council of Trent, Session 21.
But then at Vatican 2 in 1963 they relaxed it a little bit:
“The dogmatic principles which were laid down by the Council of Trent [remain] intact.” Communion under one kind is still the “law.” Yet Communion under both kinds “may be granted when the bishops think fit, not only to cleric and religious but also the laity.”
I think it’s an example of people creating man-made traditions to nullify the command of God because Jesus tells us how to do Communion.
Matthew 15:6 - “So for the sake of your tradition you have made void the word of God.”

It's the Lord's Supper or Communion, where we eat the bread and drink the cup to remember the amazing sacrifice of Jesus to pay for our sins
