We probably would’ve gotten the stormtrooper skins from BF1 if EA didn’t drop support for BF2 😢, who knows if we’ll get a BF3 at this rate, it’s like a curse

Battlefront 2 was a PR nightmare and Battlefield 2042 is still a fucking mess. They’re probably scrambling trying to figure out how to get out the hole they’ve dug themselves into. They might be too focused on 2042 to work on anything else but they’re fixing the game extremely slowly so maybe they are working on something else… like battlefront 3.
@@thicccheese4007 Nope it was confirmed that Dice completely dropped anything Battlefront related, hence why almost all developers of Battlefront 2 left.

I havent seen anyone bring it up yet so i will, Fun Fact: originally the royal guards and honor guards werent in the game and the body guards you could play as were Shock Troopers and Blue Rebel Soldiers, after the bespin DLC they were obviously replaced and the shock trooper was redistributed as a skin for the Empire and the Blue Rebels were made into the default Bespin Rebel outfit

I'll always say its better than battlefront 2, even after all these years me and my friend play it all the time. I liked how it was a modern take on battlefront wich is why I hated how they went back to the class system in bf2 just to please all the people that played the originals.
Man I actually really loved Sullust in BF1
I loved the black basalt rock formations and the lava flows as well as the industrial manufacturing sort of feel the whole place had with its obvious mineral wealth
Plus the storm troopers had those cool breathing units and backpacks which were neat
The blazing orange uniforms of the rebels for kinda neat too
Just loved it
You can also play deathtrooper in bf1 if someone plays krennic

If there’s something that I miss from BF1 is the wear and tear your character would go through, like rolling in sand would make them sandy for the rest of the life and blaster marks would be seen on Stormtroopers armour the more you died/took shots
BF2 also has this feature.
I've gone throught the files and most of if not all the trooper skins for bf1 are ported into bf2, sitting un-used.
Because a lot of it was planned for dlc down the line, that didn't happen because EA pulled the plug on the game.

Lot of content I was hoping for in BFII 2017 (more prequel era maps, a few sequel era maps, heroes from Clone Wars/Rebels/Mandalorian, etc) but I feel like skins was easy low hanging fruit to add that they didn’t take advantage of. For the Empire at least I’d like to have seen the Shadowtroopers, Imperial Navy Troopers, Mud Troopers (from Solo), Range Trooper (Solo), Tank Trooper (Rogue One), any number of Imperial Combat Driver variants (Hoth, Lothal, Endor), and trench coat wearing Imperial Officers

@@WatchVidsMakeLists IKR? Bare minimum Exegol would have been a starfighter map. If they wanted to and had the time it could have also been the location of a Capital Supremacy variation /spiritual successor to Battlefront 2015's Scarif Infiltration mode. Have both sides start in starfighters and depending on points/meeting objectives the game switches to a ground battle on/in the Star Destroyer
I wish we had gotten more skins for the Empire. All the different colored pauldrons, and Shock Troopers would have been awesome. The Shadow Stormtrooper could have been a skin for the Death Troopers.
But oh well. I use mods that make all the classes look like the original classes
Shadow Trooper should have been an Infiltrator Reinforcement.
I really wish we got more skins in BF2, playing as Shock Troopers, Dark Troopers, and Shadow Troopers would be so cool even if they were just skins.
I never noticed that Anakin and Obi-Wan mirrored each other. The Dice team was amazing when EA let them cook, man

I wish they’d reintroduce galactic conquest that you could play 1v1 or 2vNPC like in the old ones. Some of the most fun i ever had playing games as a kid
I'm ngl I wish they had the create-a-class type thing in Battlefront 2 because DAMN it was cool.
I had 340 hours in BF1 and loved it, but in BF2 I have over 600 hours now, I fukkin love this Game, its ultimate Star Wars Content.

By now we'd probably have full on melee-non hero reinforcements like proper Magna Guards for the Separatists or Praetorian Guards for the First Order and Galactic Empire
when wil developers learn that we want EVERYTHING, even if some units have the same skill set, we want literally everything we can get in battlefront games, there was no reason to cut out all the good stuff from BF1 especially the customization

Yes, we are aware BF2 implemented a class system. It’s kind of hard to miss.
You forgot the death troopers that spawn with directer clinic
Sullust WAS in Battlefront 2017, although it only appeared in a single campaign mission where you play as Lando.
You can Visit sullust in battlefront 2 in the Story Mission were you are playing as lando
Conclusion we have no clue why they stopped working on this game

The customisation in bf2015 had the most customisation options by far even surpassing elite and renegade squadron, the class system is cool but they definitely couldve implement all of 2015s options

I wish we had as much content in battlefront two as we did in battlefront 2015 for the original trilogy era alone. All eras should’ve been as complete as the original trilogy was for the first battlefront.
I never played too much BF1 because I was just straight ass at multiplayer lmao but the customization and gameplay make me wish I didn't give up on it

I loved playing as the royal guards
I remember any time I was playing as a guard unit and their corresponding hero was downed, I would try to see how long I could stay as a guard before being killed.
Sullust was in the BF2 campaign

BF1 lightsaber combat was so bad that I refused to play as Luke for so long even tho he’s one of if not my favorite. Then I recently tried as him fixed up his star cars and just basically mained him 😂
In Star Wars battlefront 2015 if you had Krennic on your team you can be a death trooper
BF1 2015 also had Death Troopers only playable if someone played as Director Krennic.
BF1 was more fun for me even with less content.
everyone has rose tinted glasses about BF1 now (shocker) but the game when popular also had a severe lack of content. The only thing i'll give BF1 over BF2 slightly is the gunplay. Felt more impactful in BF1
Bf1 is also faster and not clunky like bf2. i know a lot of people were very disappointed with bf2 who came from bf1, i play both but virtually all of my friends i made from bf1 none of them play bf2, they hate it.
BF1 is not nearly as fun for me because of how sweaty it is, what with everyone doing combat rolls across the map at every opportunity and heroes abusing spawn traps on some of the larger maps

They should have had a skin for anakin where hes got a red saber to show us what sith anakin would have looked like had he not lost his arms and legs.
Also Sullust is in BF2’s campaign
bf3 would just be everything good from both games and mix them together and adding a lot more heros and a lot of balancing (EXPECIALLY THE DARK SIDE FROM BF2 GOD DAMN IS IT OP)
I think it would have been cool to get either Dark Troopers (which I know weren't canon yet) or K-series droids as a second Enforcer for the Empire in BF2

I hope we get Battlefront 3 at some point but the possibility looks slim even though it would make EA or whoever makes it a bunch of money but it might be another reboot by another company like Ubisoft.

Right when EA was on a roll with BF2, they dropped support for a game destined to fail. Complete shame. Would love Battlefront 3.

It will never not make sense to me as to why DICE had to cut content in BF2. All BF1 2015 content should have been present and built upon in BF2 2017

I don’t understand why they just cut all this content out. A sequel is supposed to build on what the previous game did but instead it was almost like a reset forgetting the great things they did in the past and choosing to restart the series

Still low key annoyed that we don't get a 21st Nova Corps. aka Galactic Marine Clone Trooper skin. Maybe a 187th Legion Clone skin, aka the Clone Troopers in purple colored armor. Yeah BF2 missed out on ALOT!

It never made sense to have heroes and villains fighting in battles outside their era. Even using some of the blaster weapons outside their respective factions and eras felt out of place. I guess EA just cared about releasing a good looking game while throwing lore accuracies out the window.
They only have that happen in specific modes.

BF1 Has its issues, but is still a great game. Too bad no one plays it anymore so now you have to wait hours for the servers to fill.
Both reboots were only made as cash cows with very shallow udders.

Content should not be cut from one game to another. It should be improved upon until it is possible to make the next one with all existing content plus new
0:49 "Death Star Trooper" is not accurate. They are Imperial Navy Troopers. They are present on space installations and anywhere with Imperial Navy jurisdiction.
Though the name Death Star Trooper is used in the Lego Star Wars games, this was only due to them not knowing this. And just assumed they were specific to just the two Death Stars.
Furthermore, the trooper at 0:52 is an Imperial combat engineer. They wear uniforms used by Imperial engineers and heavy artillery crews. They are not Navy troopers. In fact, they are not exclusive to the Imperial Navy, Army, or even the Stormtrooper Corps.
0:53 The heavy trooper here wears a specialized survival backpack used in hostile environments. Usually deserts. The "Tatooine pauldron color" is actually a rank insignia. The Stormtrooper Corps used colored pauldrons to denote rank. If you watch A New Hope, you'll see not every stormtrooper on Tatooine has a pauldron.
I believe orange denotes the rank of lieutenant, black indicates sergeant, white, I'm not sure, and red is, I think, commander. A few stormtroopers on Tatooine in A New Hope have the black pauldron. It seems even DICE forgot the pauldrons mean something. As every heavy trooper in BF2 EA has a pauldron.
0:59 This game canonized the Imperial shadow troopers/shadow stormtroopers. But then Rogue One came out and I think everyone got the hint that shadow troopers were being replaced by these lazy flat faced edited shadow troopers made by some producer's middle school aged child. Which is why you will never see a shadow stormtrooper ever again.
Not even in Andor, which is trying to show just how the bureaucracy of the Empire works.
Well here's a little something Disney flushed down the sh*tter. There being several intelligence agencies at odds with one another. There isn't just one Imperial intelligence service. The ISB is the intelligence department of COMPNOR, the Imperial political party. They are the gestapo of the Star Wars world. Meanwhile the Imperial state has its own intelligence service. Known as Imperial Intelligence. The two were often at odds with one another. The head of Imperial Intelligence for a time created the shadow stormtroopers. They could easily have both the Death troopers and the shadow stormtroopers as the personal troopers of two competing intelligence services. But no.
Also the Imperial Navy has its own intelligence known as Imperial Naval Intelligence. Yes, the Empire has its own version of the NCIS. Just thought I'd throw that in there.
This was all old canon, but plenty of the necessary material from it was made canon again. The ISB also had their own specialized stormtroopers that were never fully explained. It is so easy to just put the Death troopers in this spot. COMPNOR is canon and all the subgroups that were a part of it. JUST DO IT.

Than i finally bought a ps4 but had it for less than a month before switching to pc bcuz the ps4 era is such a bad and dead time for games

What I remember from the game is that it was some type of strategy game on hoth where you could place at walkers and tie fighters
I prefer the classic conquest over the multi stage game modes of the never battlefront installments

Yeah m8 this only proves you're a dumb thumb. Prequels got the most DLC's. Sequel only got 2 and loot boxes were removed before the game launch.

@@ImperialZorn686 bf1 is fundamentally worse than bf2 in every way. Gameplay, maps, game modes, customisation etc. even after its DLC (which should have been free btw) It's barely worthy of the battlefront title.
It breaks the traditional mold of what a battlefront game is, it doesn't feel like battlefront, nore does it play like battlefront. Dice also agreed since BF2 they consider Bf2 to be their best accomplishment for the series so far
Agreed. I didnt like how Jump Packs were practically mandatory to use on every map, I didnt like the entire token pickup system, vehicle combat was practically absent with the exception of the AT-ST, and the flying mechanics were incredibly bad, especially for DICE's standards. It didn't feel like a "Battlefront" to me, having played the originals for hours on end.
BF2 though is a lot more in line with what one would expect from a "Battlefront" and with the introduction of Instant Action, I cant see how BF1 could possibly be better than that. Yes I'm very intentionally skipping over BF1's "Instant Action" as it really just re-used the bot AI from the coop mode, they couldnt use heroes, starfighters practically seem to always just target the player and it just wasnt all that fun.
