Hi, Sophie and Dave! I am such a huge fan of your vlogs. I was recently diagnosed with cancer and these videos really help keep me hopeful that one day I'll be with someone who loves me as much as you two love each other, for better or for worse. Personally, I would love it if you guys could vlog more! Can't wait to see the wedding!
Big yes to more vlogs!!! I know you guys will make the right decision about whether to stay or move out to your own place. So excited for your new adventures! Congratulations on the job, Dave!
😊 do whatever makes sense for you guys, it's a gift being able to save money and that way the money on rent and c.tax could go straight to your wedding, then when you have saved up and had your wedding/honey moon, you can splash out on making a nice bigger place your home 😘 I know it's hard not being in your 'own' place but it would only be for a short time! Love you guys xxx
Hi Sophie and Dave, I love your vlogs. Dave I would just like to say how I admire your constant positivity and up beat personality. You truly are a gent and I'm so pleased you got your job in theatre. Good luck with the flat and I hope you get it. I shall keep my fingers crossed for you. x
So good to see you both more at ease..you're in a beautiful location and its time to renew your energies! Congratulations on your new job Dave! Sophie, remember..Scottish sunshine its wet..but that's why its so rich and verdiant here.. big hugs, xxx
So exciting for you guys to be in Scotland! I am sure whatever you decide is best for you, be it a place of your own or staying with Dave's family to save money up for your wedding and your honeymoon, you will have the support of everyone around you, so you can't really go wrong. No matter what your choice will be, I will be excited to see where life takes you next. Keep on being the happy amazing people you are, and thanks for sharing your lives with all of us
It sounds like a golden opportunity to stay with your folks for a while. It isn't forever but will be a chance to save up, relax and a time you can later look back on and treasure x
Congrats on the job Dave! It's amazing that you guys can be in the position to save money and stay with Dave's mum, especially if she's easy going and you could still have your own space. I know I couldn't move back in with my mum, as much as I love her and I could save money, she just doesn't have the space and we can't be in each other's space like that! Hope you two make the right decision for you! Definitely keep up with the vlogs, you two are adorable! 💗 xx
Ah congrats on the job - that's fab!! I'm so looking forward to finding out what you guys are going to do - so much to think about! You guys are fab! Jill x
More vlogs? Yep, stay there! As you said, this is a great opportunity to save money. You can always get another flat later, I think staying there is a good idea xx
I know you want a flat of your own but staying with your mom Dave.. you could really save up like you guys were saying. Your mom is a rock star Dave ⭐️. That picture frame with the diamonds... I think I have that same one lol. Have an amazing week guys. Looking forward to all of your adventures 💕
I really feel for you guys!! Its the hardest decision. Me and my now husband moved in with my mum and dad on a last minute decision for a year before our wedding to save, after living on our own for years beforehand- and it was the best thing we could possibly have done!! It was really strange at first getting used to it all but it meant we could save all our wages for our dream wedding (and disneymoon!) that we would never have been able to afford otherwise! Absolutely no regrets! Good luck guys in whatever you choose 💜✌🏻️🌻
Always yes to more vlogs ❤ loved seeing you both explore that flat, it was lovely but I'm sure something else will come along! And if you stay with Daves parents it's definitely a money saver. Such a hard decision to make isn't it?! Xx
I am so happy or you both! I love your blogs and I would love to see more of them! I feel like I relate to you both. I LOVE Disney and I watch your Disney vlogs all the time! I am also on a weight loss journey and you are both an inspiration! Good luck in whatever you decide! That flat was very nice! But saving money is nice too...:) OH and Congratulations on the job Dave! :)
Congratulations on the job Dave! Great to see you both getting settled up there! You both seem so relaxed and are dealing with all these huge life changes so well! :-)
Well done Dave on the job! Good luck & hope you settle in well. I hope you make the right decision for you - I think the perks of staying with Daves mum wouldn't be a bad thing as then you don't have to compromise on the wedding you want and honeymoon as you'd be able to save a lot of money as you were struggling to find venues within your budget and it's nice that they've offered it to you guys, but at same time it's nice to have your own independence and freedom so you feel you've properly moved to Scotland permanently. Whatever you guys decide I'm sure it'll be the best for you, perhaps stay put at the moment, don't place too much pressure onto yourself to get everything sorted all at once and I'm sure if opportunities arises you'll take them! Xx
Toy Story 4 is rumored to be about Woody & Buzz saving Bo Peep. But that's all I know about it. I don't even know how true that is. Good luck, you guys, on everything! My husband and I received help like this from his parents when we were transitioning apartments. It's a perk but a huge adjustment when you are used to living just the two of you. But at the same time I got to learn and understand his family and their ways better. In the end I know you'll make the decision that is best for you, whatever that looks like!
that flat was so lovely! I really hope you guys are able to get it in the end! Staying at Dave's mum's could be great as well for saving! it would definitely be an adjustment to living on your own, whatever you feel is right for you! Toy story 3 is sooo sad oh my gosh! Xx
You guys are the best! I love your vlogs and I hope you make a choice on housing that you're happy with. I have a feeling you'll be doing fine no matter what you decide though!
Ah I so look forward to your vlogs! You are both as sweet as honey and completely adorable 😍 If you can get an opportunity to save for your wedding and honeymoon then I would grab with both hands! It's a great offer from your folks Dave and they seem keen to have you both stay. Can't wait to here what happens next and where your journey takes you! ❤❤
Congratulations on your new job Dave! I feel for you dears. That's a huge adjustment in si many ways. Really mull it over as to whether or not you live with Mum and Martin. Maybe it would help you out a lot to have a perfect wedding/honeymoon and then you could have a flat lined up to move to once that's done. Your first place together as Mr and Mrs Dave!
Congratulations Dave on your new job! So pleased for you. I can see why you have a difficult decision to make and I definitely think the opportunity is fantastic for you both. What I would say is, you both remind me very much of me and my husband. You just want to have fun in life and go to Disney. It's such a luxury and perhaps living at home would be worthwhile to help you do that. We had our Daughter young and have had many amazing memories, but I wish at times we had had the chance to do more of the big holidays on our own too. Also, in the long term - would it mean perhaps you being able to save for a deposit and buy a place of your own? Also having a car will make life a bit easier if Sophie perhaps wanted to find a job further afield? You will make the right decision and I think what a great choice you have made. I love these vlogs, it's like a Netflix series that I want to watch ahead though but the episodes haven't been made yet! haha xx
What a stunning part your mother/in laws house is in.(my grandmother is on the others side of Scotland) Im a country girl lol dont like the bustle of city life-full time I mean. Loved the vlog x
Sending you both love and positive vibes x Congratulations on getting the job Dave x My husband and I live with his parents. There definitely are benefits. We can only afford our Disney trips because of the money we save.
Congrats on the job Dave! I would honestly say that if you're happy living with Dave's parents go for it. We stayed with parents while saving for our wedding and only started renting 6 months before we got married. it meant we could pay for our wedding upfront with no debt. Since the we've been saving for a mortgage deposit for 4 years, and with paying rent it's taking such a long time. Although we're getting near to our target now it's so hard to save for anything while paying rent and all the household bills x
Vlogs for the win! Stay where you are! Def awesome you have the option to be able to save so for sure take them up on it. I moved home at 25 for a few months. Stayed 9 years haha (and had a baby in that time hence I never left). Have been out just over a year but I miss having my mum as an on tap babysitter lol. Flat looked gorgeous tho but id stay where ya r!
My Son and I moved back in with my folks when I sold my last house...we loved it lol, I didnt want to leave when my new place was ready, was great being spoilt rotton by Mummy and Daddy lol xx
I'm all for you staying at Dave's mums if it means more vlogs haha! In all seriousness though it does seem like a good idea in terms of it allowing you to save as much money as you can for things like your wedding, honeymoon and then a perfect flat!! As you said it will be an adjustment as you have been used to living alone, but you could even give it a go for 3 months to sort of trial it to see how it goes, and if you feel after those 3 months you want your own place you could do that or if you think it is going well then you could stay for as long as you need to!! ❤️
It is a difficult decision to move back in with your parents... my husband and I did it several years ago. It was the only way we could get ahead and have enough money to save for a down payment on a home. It takes some adjusting and of course discipline. Having extra money in the bank is tempting. But we gave ourselves a goal and a time frame and achieved that goal and never looked back! All thanks to my parents letting us stay. I say do it. You will always find another flat ( or apartment as we say here in Canada). But the chance to save with little expenses doesn't come around often. Good luck making your decision. ❤️
I would love to see more blogs but I think you should have your own place. We lived with my parents for a few months and it turned into a nightmare. Sometimes you just need your own space
I guess I am identifying with the mom. lol I can see where you all want to get on with your life in Scotland in your own place, but I can also see where, maybe for a bit, it would be good for you to stay with the parents. Saving for wedding, honeymoon, and a car would be a really good thing. It sounds like you have your own space, to a certain extent. The flat looked really good, but in waiting, there may be an even better one. I know you all will make the right decision.
I tryed living my parents for a couple months to save more money. It only lasted a month. Cause my indoor cat couldn't live the house cause how allergic my mom was to the cat. I couldn't handle having my cat live in a garage
If you have the offer to stay with Dave's parents then I reckon you should do it. Just think of the money you could save!!! Save, Save, Save and get in a good position to have a fab holiday, save for a mortgage. Have some good savings. Go for it!!! xx
Is it just me that wants to shout at Sophie and put her on the naughty stairs.... Seriously Lady you are beautiful you really need to work on that self confidence and selfesteam... :D
I would stay at your mom's house. Hot tub, need I say more. But wait, there's more. The free rent will allow you to have the wedding sooner and once the wedding is over you can get a flat. Also, you may get an acting part in London or Manchester or Edinburgh or Lake Districk/Keswick and then you would have to move anyway. So mom's house gives you that flexibility that you wouldn't have if you are locked into the flat for a year.
YAY! Congrats Dave! I'm so happy for the both of you!
