If you're using the 12v, then you aren't putting anything in the compartment anyways? Previous version had it inside the center console, so this is much better placed.

They have hidden 12v outlets for years. Cayenne passenger floor board where it meets the dash. Great for hiding cables to radar detectors and auxiliary accessories.
It's the same button on the 911s as well as the Cayenne and Panamera. In fact, I don't know of a modern Porsche model with a heated steering wheel that doesn't have that button.

i waited for my Macan GTS for 13 months to be delivered to morocco and had every optional extra available but i don’t have the heating steering wheel button very strange

I would have rather them add it to the 8 million buttons for the center console. Have a button that lifts that cover up and exposes 12v cigarette lighter 😂😂😂

I'm totally fine in switching to LHD in my country so that everyone has the same standard. Ik it would be a lot of pain to switch a whole country that way. But I would rather do that than have the blinker stalk on the wrong side tho.
The heated wheel button is in the same place on every Porsche since at least 2011. It ain’t exactly sneaky if it’s been that way over a decade and it’s in the manual. In fact the GMC Acadia and a lot of other vehicles have that button in the exact same place. 🤦🏻 this isn’t even newsworthy
it's not sneaky it's being on informed or just not doing .I guess you didn't buy it new or the guy that sold it to you didn't tell you the car has a heated steering wheel and the 12-volt what's underneath the cup holder. The heated steering wheel option is pretty pricey I'm surprised you didn't ask him if it came with it because I know you didn't buy it now news to turn the heating on.
