What a fantastic open. Such a progression from the early videos. You’re providing great content and wonderful locations. I may be biased, as a west coaster (born and raised), but it’s still inspiring to see what’s out there beyond the trees. Cheers Salty
Beauty area, nothing like northern Vancouver Island. I was just over there buying some surly forks and enjoying the island pace and beautiful outdoors. Enjoy riding along with you when we can, keep it up!
Oddly enough there is zero houses/land to buy, however after the only bank could not keep operating the grocery store then closed 6 months ago. Hard times.
Absolutely beautiful Rob! Thanks for the mini-vacay! I too had "smell-o-vision" going with your morning coffee! The refreshing, underwater swim with the crystal clear reflection was amazing! So nice of Duncan to have you in his wonderful home. Looking forward to Ep. 2!! :)
Hi just got this link from FB. definitely looks amazing excellent video. Just a quick note you spelt "adventure" wrong In the opening credits looks much more professional than my videos but hope you get some info. Cheers look forwarding to going through them all
Yeah… by the time I realized, I wasn’t going to re-render and upload (or is it a red herring to get people to comment? - LOL). Thanks for watching, hope you like what you see. I have one more episode of the North Island series, then I’ll be getting into a bit more how to type of stuff. Happy to hear suggestions. Take care !
So excited when I saw Episode 1! Also, nice to see clear skies. It seems like our new normal is dodging wildfires and smoke narrowing our bikepacking window in the west.
Looks like a beautiful trip, a possibility for an upcoming adventure! Your filming is improving every video, it's great to the progression. Thanks for sharing!
I think this is the best yet Rob. I loved the acknowledgment of the traditional people at the start and the camera work was another level. Not so sure about the peanut and chocolate but I'll let that slide! :)
I personally use a 4L MSR gravity fed filter. Barry brought along his single bottle filter. LifeStraw I think. Filter system is basically the same design.

Thanks 😊 working hard at getting better.
I came for the bikepacking, but stayed for the swimming 🏊🏻♂️.
- and more to come!! Daily swim was required.
Damn this is 🔥 bummed I've been sleeping on this series. Intro is top-notch so far.
Thanks Jordan, hope you enjoy! The series is two drastically different trips in one big series.

Beautiful scenery and a great video Rob.
Thanks. There are some amazing places up north.
Great video! Looking forward to the next one.
Thanks - working at it now!
You tell a great story without telling much. Your videos capture bikepacking in a very pure and uncomplicated way. Can't wait for the next one.
Thanks / I feel I should be trying to do more “storytelling” but maybe it’s just the right blend?
Thumb up before viewing it
oooh, confidence !
Such a beautiful area ! Thanks for sharing. ✌️🌲
You're very welcome. More adventures to come!

Excellent video.
Oddly enough there is zero houses/land to buy, however after the only bank could not keep operating the grocery store then closed 6 months ago. Hard times.

Nice to see video of your trip, nice to see Duncan make a cameo appearance!
Very awesome dude.
Amazing visual effects. This takes time and creativity. You do it with sound also. I enjoy watching your vids. Thank you.
Hay hi to Berry for me.
Thanks Dmitri! Yes, editing takes longer than the ride itself, but the rewards are satisfying. I’m still learning… I’ll give Barry a “HI” for you!
nádherné video, rád jsem se podíval na vaši cestu
Jsme rádi, že vás videa baví. Buď v bezpečí, příteli.

Awesome video.. you've totally inspired me to bikepack more..
Great to hear! Happy that you're enjoying the videos... more to come!
I think you should produce a full length, slo-mo, hair/beard swinging episode. THAT would be epic.
not what's funny.... someone also suggested that my beard needs it's own Instagram Account. LOL :P
@@SaltyBeard_Adventures , it is legendary!

Well see what September brings when I head back up for second trip for the series

Great video. Nice to see the bikes. 40 yes ago i was out that way, treeplanting. Nice to have a visit. I'm a gravel rider, want b to ride that road.
Very similar to me.... it's been 30 years since I lived out here. Nice to be back, exploring the backroads on a bicycle again.
Absolutely loved it !! What kind of water filter was used in this video ? Thx
