Richmond is such a rare treasure of intact furnishings and floor and wall coverings. Truly a walk back in time. So great to see homes that have never been restored but have lovingly been preserved by each succeeding generation.
Oh my goodness, the photo of her seated aunt serving tea or coffee at the end of table flooded my mind with memories of my grandmother, her friends, and even my mother and her friends in my youngest years. Such was common at special events in our family home when I was a young child!
The history is strong with this one. Really fascinating to see the three styles so clearly. And what a terrific collection of bathing items! This may sound odd, but I always feel that furniture and other items that have been surrounded/used by the same people for decades retain a bit of of their energy. I can so easily imagine the parties, as well as the lady of the house and her staff at their daily tasks. There are so many beautiful things in this home, but what makes them truly special is their history, and the personal stories passed down by this family.
Now this is different. I like the Greek Revival part best. Lots for the eye to see, beautiful drapes and furniture. Thanks for the tour, you are all so nice.😊
Very interesting to see the distinct builds. My 1st thought was "oh I love that hyphen!" But no, it is the original house! Gracious hostess. Thanks for sharing.
I never realized how much preserved history there is in Mississippi. My aunt came from there to Michigan, and my mom’s family were a little unaccepting of her fancy ways. Now I wish I could have gotten to know her better.
This is the most beautiful home tour video you've ever made. The music was perfect. I love love love her accent, as a Southerner myself she out-Southerns me, just melodic and beautiful 💜
Laine, Honey you look fantastic,I love your new look. This house tour was also beautiful and the history is. amazing. And Kevin's infomercial was great lol.... Stay safe, much love and many blessings❤❤❤
A bit disjointed, a bit creepy, and utterly fascinating. The three builds are so distinct from one another and easy to distinguish; chock-full of period furniture and artifacts. I love that it has not been overhauled and modernized. The home(s) appear to have been left in their original state, for the most part, and one can really feel the ambience of the time periods. Just a truly unique experience touring this place. A truly lovely video journey...thank you RN for bring us another remarkable home!❤
Love it! Never have I seen any of those tubs and especially that shower! To have three different styles of house(s) in one is a feat all by itself. And the intricate details of so many items in the house, well, it is just a sight to see and behold. Makes me want to start touring there and even in my state of Virginia where we have many historical properties. After all, Richmond is here too!
Wow! Richmond truly is beautiful and so much history, architecture, family treasures etc. I hope Richmond remain preserved with all it's contents, family heirlooms, history, architecture etc. as it is for future generations to come. Thanks for showing us this gem in Natchez and of course all the other old homes .
I really enjoyed her tour. But I really enjoy when you take us through a home, because the information you give is like you are teaching a class in architecture. I have learned so much from you!!
Enchanting tour! Love the different, distinctly unique build dates. I wish that I could travel, but so glad that you provide these videos. At the 7:09 TimeStamp ~ I'm especially impressed with the duel-historic feature of a photo and the actual tea service set! That made me bark with glee! Love this amazing place! B~}
❤❤❤ Great tour of a great home. How wonderful to have that much family history and living in your family's home.❤❤❤ Would love to hear more about the ghosting! Was that in jest or true?
I love it! Thank you so much for showing us! Do you know why the 3rd part exterior is built more plain ( i dont even know what style to call it). Was it more plain simply bc it was at the back of the house?
I'd love to see the pianos restored they are meant to be played. A piano lock is easily picked its just one lever. lol There are musical societies that would definitely help with the cost of restoration.
If you ever get the piano unlocked, that is missing some ivory on the keys, just respond to this comment as I have extra ivory piano keys and would love them to go to a good home. Beautiful Grand Dame! ;o)
Sobering tub...ok, if that man spent all that time & $ to get drunk, then they come home & get thrown in there to sober up, he probably would be worse to put up with. But i guess it was pay-back to throw him in that cold water & leave him there all night NOT TO DROWN. 😂 Thank you for the tour. Loved it.
What a delightful tour guide. Her memories of the place are priceless.

Always loved that Creole cottage that centers the whole thing.

What an amazing home. It is in such good condition. Three so distinct homes. Thank you so much for sharing.
What a beautiful home. If those walls could talk! The tour guide was great and I loved hearing about her family! ❤️
Best thing to wake up to!

Chopin’s prelude in E minor was well-chosen. It’s a lovely piece, and very fun to play! 😀
I painted a watercolor of Richmond many years ago and I was delightfully surprised to see it hanging in the central hallway!
Oh how fabulous!!

Gorgeous! I'm so glad that it remains intact and in the family. 🙏❤️🙏
Magnificent!! Sweet tour guide, Thank you!
That was absolutely wonderful. Natchez is full of treasures. Can't wait for Pilgrimage in the Spring. Thank you so much Lane and Kevin!
The columns creating the architraves around the doors and windows are *chefs kiss*
Fascinating! Can’t wait to tour Richmond in March!
Just lovely. ❤️❤️❤️
❤❤❤ one heart for each section…

That coffee service... GORGEOUS!!
Wow! That seems like a museum! Makes me feel like I need to take my shoes off to tour, stunning!
Just wow!! Thanks for sharing!
Gorgeous house!!!! The cinematic shots were well-executed , and I enjoyed them very much. It really does showcase this amazing home!
Such a gorgeous home
Wonderful guided tour. This channel always come through to give me an "old house" fix.
Incredible home.
As always...magnificent!!! Just love the history!!! ❤❤❤ from Pennsylvania ❤❤❤ 😊😊😊😊
Delightfull.
Thank you.
Look forward to watching💚💚
Thanks! From Brazil!
Beautiful home! Awesome video, as always! Thank you!
Glorious. I must visit.
What a great tour! Did I miss how or why they named it Richmond? I’m always curious how people give their homesteads the names they do.
Beutifulhome! I’d be trying to get a key made for that beautiful black piano! I wonder if you could find one on eBay.
I love the music with this video in the beginning. Thank you. It is so relaxing. Do you know the name of the piece ?
I love it! Thank you so much for showing us! Do you know why the 3rd part exterior is built more plain ( i dont even know what style to call it). Was it more plain simply bc it was at the back of the house?
It’s hard to say but that’s as good a guess as any.
I would have loved seeing the upstairs! Ghosting or not...
My mom told us that the whole family used the same bathwater. She was one of 11 children. They lived on a two bedroom home.
Can you explain the state of the top of the chimneys? They look to be closed off. Thanks
I got fooled, since I would have thought the brick addition was Federal and added before the Greek Revival addition
❤❤❤❤❤
Someone must go upstairs for cleaning and maintenance.

@14:20 Does your mother haunt this house?
