Hell yeah! See, I was told to only record vocals in protools... however, with the DAWs these days, you can damn near do everything! I was in the process of trying to figure out how to import my beat files/instruments into protools and then do my vocals over there; this seems a hell of a lot easier! I have the producer edition of Fl studios 12 - (12.5)
very informative with the youlean meter , but guys don´t listen to what he said at the end it just depends on the beat i was struggling to get this gain staging thing : the answer is instrumental should be -21 - -23db thats the average and the vocal should sit around -18db as long as your not peaking / correct me if im wrong Kay! that was just your case
Yo I wanna start making tutorials like this & i just got a Mic. My question is how do I get to record fl studio's audio + my mics audio & sync em up together/lay them out to export for UA-cam?
Which do you prefer for singers who use pitch correction? Record with waves/autotune on the recording vocal chain? And over all, what do you use for your recording chain?
guess it's allrdy fixed, but the problem may be that you are recording on the "Master" input, so it records both beat and vocals. push the red button below the master and only activate the red button on your vocal-mix-bar
yo thanks so much my guy, I didn't realize that there was an unlimited trial for fl studio, but you just can't open previously saved projects. So I can basically make a whole song if I do it in one session (which I usually can regardless :D).
If someone needs over 50 attempts to record a single line you will have a lot of files saved that you don't wont to save. That's the problem. But maybe Image Line is so genius to make this with purpose. I believe they thought: Better too much than too little! And this is another feature for those who make the unwanted mistake to delete a good recording. So let it be there and delete the files if you need to. Can I turn the function off? For me it's better to delete it promptly. I am a producer, so I am able to decide what's good and what's not. If a take could be good I move it downwards in the playlist and mute it. FL is not perfect - not now. But it's on the best way.
So what if I want to record another track maybe an adlib, backups or something, can I use the same mixer channel or I have to keep changing them for every records?
Use a different mixer channel, disable the mic input on the other channel first, and then do your adlibs or whatever like that, if you need more help dm me on twitter @ Yung_Savi
(Beginner Question) At 4:00 he was able to just slide sounds from his samples folder into the channel rack and was able to create a beat. Whenever I see other beat tutorials it always involves putting the sounds into the channel rack, and then playing around with the piano roll. How was he able to just "skip" the process of the piano roll?
What's the right way to save your vocals that you've recorded? avoiding losing the vocals especially when you fixed your laptop. I came in with this problem where all of vocals has been lost due to my laptop being cleaned out and fixed due to my storage being full. I would want to avoid this in the future please do you have a better idea or way where I should save with a tutorial video. Thanks
I’ve been recording for 2 years now and my vocals always sound uncomfortably mono when yours right off the bat sound nice the way they are. To make them stereo I HAVE to use a stereo imager to make them wider and the stereo knob on the actual track I send my vocals to doesn’t sound anything. I wanted to watch a beginner video incase I missed a key step but I didn’t. Your vocals sound perfectly fine without any plugins. Just need some help here. Thanks
@@mondi8704 All before anything, you need to go on sound/audio settings of you computer and adjust which speaker you would like the sound to come out of. Then you go as the video says. Audio settings can also be found where you pull up the valume (bottom right of your screen)

If you're using a USB mic (Working with a budget haha) get ASIO4ALL to get your mic to render as an ASIO track
When I record my audio, the audio is red and I can’t hear anything. How do I fix it?
Thanks for this, now I can set my house on fire.

Time to make magic 👨🏾🎤

Just keep your source on ASIO4ALL and go into your mixer, click on the drop down on the right where you can choose an input and select your USB mic
