@Kat Blaque- l live in MO. Most of my friends, nor myself can afford to move across town much less out of state. I know you know. I am cis, queer and disabled, over 50 and tethered to oxygen. I'm all for flash mobs- FLASH MOBS everywhere, underground. Abby Hoffman type queer sht... I'm also homebound, but l have that cis white privilege. l can help plan..what else can we do? Ikyk
It's not heartbreaking at all if terfs who made their bed with Matt walsh have to wear dresses. It's Kharma By the way this rule won't stand. SCOTUS Bostock Clayton 2020 already settled this. I didn't realize you weren't aware of this landmark decision
Traditional male clothes in my heritage include knee length skirts, ruffles and calico. If that department wants “biologically male” people in male clothes, there’s always that.
There's a passage from "Stone Butch Blues" about a group of butches who were forced to wear dresses in order to be allowed to a funeral of their friend and the cruelty and humilliation of it or being arrested for not wearing 'at least 3 items of women's clothing' which reminds me of this dresscode : "When we got inside, it took a minute to find the right room. Then I knew we had found it. There, around the open casket, were Butch Ro’s lifelong friends. All of them were wearing dresses. That’s how much they loved her. These were burly, big- shouldered he- she s who carried their womanhood in work-roughened hands. They could playfully slap you on the back and send you halfway across the room. Their forearms and biceps were covered with tattoos. These powerful butch women were comfortable in work chinos. Their spirit roared to life when they wore double-breasted suits. Wearing dresses was an excruciating humiliation for them. Many of their dresses were old, from another era when occasional retreats were still necessary. The dresses were outdated, white, frilly, lace, low-cut, plain. The shoes were old or borrowed: patent leather, loafers, sandals. This clothing degraded their spirit, ridiculed who they were. Yet it was in this painful drag they were forced to say their last goodbye to the friend they loved so much. (...)Ro - the butch Alice had loved for almost thirty years - lay in the casket next to her, laid out in a pink dress and holding a bunch of pink-and-white flowers. What cruel hand controlled this scene? I saw them just as they saw Ed and me. It was Ro’s family - father, mother, and brothers. They saw us the moment we walked in, and whispered in the funeral director’s ear. In a flash, the director announced the funeral home was closing and we all had to leave. Just like that. " The cruelty is the point
another passage that's relevent: " I’m remembering the busts in the bars in Canada. Tacked in the police vans, all the Saturday-night butches giggled and tried to fluff up their hair and switch clothing so they could get thrown in the tank with the femme women - said it would be like, “dyin’ and goin’ to heaven. ” The law said we had to be wearing three pieces of women ’s clothing. We never switched clothing. Neither did our drag queen sisters. We knew, and so did you, what was coming. We needed our sleeves rolled up, our hair slicked back, in order to live through it. Our hands were cuffed tight behind our backs. Yours were cuffed in front. You loosened my tie, unbuttoned my collar, and touched my face. I saw the pain and fear for me in your face, and I whispered it would be alright. We knew it wouldn ’t be, I never told you what they did to us down there - queens in one tank, stone butches in the next "
CW SA "I never said these things to you. Tonight I remember the time I got busted alone, on strange tuff. You’re probably wincing already, but I have to say this to you. It was the night we drove ninety miles to a bar to meet friends who never showed up. When the police raided the club we were “alone, ” and the cop with gold bars on his uniform came right over to me and told me to stand up. No wonder, I was the only he-she in the place that night. He put his hands all over me, pulled up the band of my Jockeys and told his men to cuff me - I didn’t have three pieces of women’s clothing on. I wanted to fight right then and there because I knew the chance would be lost in a moment. But I also knew that everyone would be beaten that night if I fought back, so I just stood there. I saw they had pinned your arms behind your back and cuffed your hands. One cop had his arm across your throat. I remember the look in your eyes. It hurts me even now. They cuffed my hands so tight behind my back I almost cried out. Then the cop undipped his pants real slow, with a smirk on his face, and ordered me down on my knees. First I thought to myself I can’t! Then I said out loud to myself and to you and to him, “I won’t!” I never told you this before, but something changed inside of me at that moment. I learned the difference between what I can’t do and what I refuse to do. I paid the price for that lesson. Do I have to tell you every detail ? Of course not. "
this is SO true and raw. i hate to leave such an underwhelming reply but just wanted to share, this shows how "criminalizing people for wearing 3+ items of gender non-conforming clothing" easily becomes "criminalizing people for NOT wearing 3+ items deemed actively conforming enough." i find the insidiousness of that interesting. at that point, taken to its extreme, we'd be imposing dress codes on people.
When I lived in Arkansas in the 90s....they had a cross dressing law that you had to wear atleast one piece of "sex appropriate" clothing or you could be arrested for cross dressing. I honestly had a car load of friends arrested for cross dressing around 1992. They were "stopped for speeding" near a gay bar. That's how they used to try to catch people. Ridiculous!!! People who weren't bothering anyone.
I'm not Trans, but I am GNC, and the fact that this is happening, like REALLY happening, is fucking stupid and terrifying. Like, holy shit. Women, both cis and trans, as well as AFAB people wear suits and pants all the time, what the fuck is the problem all of a sudden?!
But also, can you imagine a bunch of trans men wearing dresses with all their masculine body hair showing?!?! That would be great and they’d be like… um, no. That makes us uncomfortable. 🤣😂🤣
I'm genuinely worried about us getting back to the point where it's illegal for anyone afab to wear anything other than skirts/having to wear incredibly modified pants the way old-school women protesting skirts did
@@yourmom2189 They would regulate our bodies the same way they would regulate cis women's bodies as trans men would be legally seen and treated the same as women, like in the old days it would become "immodest" to not wear makeup, not shaving or modifying your body in these ways if you're any flavor of afab will all become genuinely risky and scary. Aside from protesters, if becoming trans essentially becomes illegal, then trans men are not going to go "hey. I'm trans, please hate crime me and ruin my life thnx!" By wearing a dress, if they think they can wing it passing, then some will risk dressing stereotypically masc, others will be forced to fully "girl mode" down to shaving, cosmetics etc.
Actually the founding fathers were very egalitarian! They had female friends. They saw women as human, just like men, and not a hot chance for intercourse. And their clothing styles were androgynous and egalitarian. They didn't put pressure on women to put makeup and wear heels because everyone did that. (look at paintings of founding fathers and mothers, both were wearing those things and looked very androgynous) "Millions of innocent men, women and children, since the introduction of Christianity, have been burnt, tortured, fined and imprisoned; yet we have not advanced one inch towards uniformity. What has been the effect of coercion? To make one half the world fools, and the other half hypocrites. To support roguery and error all over the earth." -Thomas Jefferson. As John Adams told his friend Mercy Otis Warren in 1776, “the Ladies I think are the greatest Politicians.” The founding father who left the largest body of correspondence with female friends was Thomas Jefferson. Jefferson particularly enjoyed having female friends and had a unique ability to connect with women. His wife died in 1782, and soon after he moved to France. There, he befriended Alexander Hamilton’s sister-in-law Angelica Schuyler Church. Church was not in Paris long and Jefferson regretted that they were not able to be in the same place. In a 1788 letter, he told her “I never blame heaven so much as for having clogged the etherial spirit of friendship with a body which ties it to time & place. I am with you always in spirit: be you with me sometimes. While in France, Jefferson also first met Abigail Adams, in 1784. Abigail and Jefferson bonded as parents missing their children, lovers of art and culture and as sharp intellectuals. They went to plays, concerts and exhibitions together, and Jefferson spent much of his time at the Adams’ home.” He genuinely saw his female friends as human, and had deep connections with those women without ever reducing them to their reproductive organs. These were real egalitarians and I have no idea how the republicans of today could even claim to follow those noble humans. These are the humans liberals should put on their forefront. Even with no internet or encyclopaedias, they were more intellectual than today's republicans.
OMG, okay so - a friend of mine recently hired a person at his company who presented as a bearded man at the job interview. My friend was all bent out of shape because he saw this person in the men's room wearing a sundress a few days later, plus beard. He got all hot & bothered about 'the woman pretending to be a man and using the men's room.' He was actually furious that this person was 'trying to trick him.' Like - SIR. If the employee is presenting male and wearing a beard and using the men's room, why would your assumption be that he (?) is a 'stealth woman,' rather than a man wearing a sundress? Are you mad a man is wearing a sundress? I mean unusual, certainly, but you realize you can't make a policy dictating that people cannot wear a garment that is acceptable under the dress code for one gender because you personally think they are 'the wrong gender' to wear the garment. I talked him down, but this stuff is D:
Yeah, one time I saw a bearded person in a dress in the men's room, and it took my brain one or two seconds to process it. Then I looked around, saw the urinals, and I was like, "Okay, I'm in the correct(*) restroom" and went about my business. He (they?) wasn't my concern. (*) This was before my egg cracked.
@@DorianPaige00- You are aware that people can figure out how to dress for their particular job, right? The bearded man wearing the sundress may never, ever, deal with clients at all or ever be in their presence. And if he has that position? He'll wear a suit, or whatever else is appropriate.
Always baffles me that cis women don’t think transphobia can affect them. I’m a cis woman so I’m assuming I’d be expected to wear a dress everyday. In my experience, regardless of the weather, femme presenting people in my office are always wearing pants.
Policies like this were used to ban women from wearing pants or require women to have specific dress codes and were found to be unconditional. This will be interesting.
This is so true. And some jobs required you to wear pants and not a skirt or a dress thus making it impossible for women to do. I’m not American but things like these have a tendency to spill over to Europe.
@@Venya9 hell yeah. And most workwear (that isn't like scrubs I guess. Maybe they are. Cause so many women wear em) is definitely not made to fit women's bodies as is. Like overalls.. The shirts. The pants. Even like labcoats. I work in a lab. Unless your very thin and tall you'll need to fold over the damn sleeves as a woman. Because well, you can choose to either be able to close it around your hips and not pop open when you walk, or have the right sleeve length. Annoying as hell.
I'm old enough that as a child the school dress code was girls must wear skirts or dresses to school. The law was changed when I was in fifth grade. We still wore shorts under our skirts, because we played on the bars, teeter totters, swings etc. And also the teachers just LOVED to make us sit indian style (probably not allowed to call it that now, lol), and we didn't want our panties to show. I'm a tall woman, taller than the average man. As a result women's clothing doesn't always fit me. I have narrow hips and no real hourglass figure, so it's easier, and necessary at times, to buy jeans in the men's department, and long sleeve shirts in the men's department. Simply because women's clothing doesn't fit. I will not, however, refer to women or men as being cis, since sis, sissy, wuus, p*ssy. And other derogatory name calling has been used on little boys and young men forever to insult them by insinuating they are feminine in some way, and simultaneously programming them to believe that women are inferior, bad, stupid etc. Leading to a lot of males abusing women when they grow up.
What are you supposed to wear if you’re intersex? Haven’t they heard that controlling what someone wears is abusive? This shit is so scary. My mom used to get kicked out of school for wearing pants, I got kicked out for wearing “spaghetti straps” that were a half inch thick…when will this shit end
I always think about intersex people when they make transphobic laws because they never seem to, like what uniform do they get? A tunic? But seriously these laws and what the transphobic people who support them say begin to fall apart as soon as you bring up intersex people
GNC cis women need to realize that patriarchy will never reward them for their transphobia lol. It's like the scene in Handmaid's Tale where they flashback to Serena Joy giving a speech and being the face of the religious group, but when the men, the real people in charge, meet behind the scenes she's literally left out of the room.
Yeah, we are never ever going to be part of the club. They'll use women to do their dirty pick me work, but there will never be enough that we can do to get treated as equals.
Yep. Great reference. The kinds of people who want these measures, fundamentalist / evangelical Christians, also tend to believe that a woman’s place is in the home, so hypothetically, “consistent with biological gender” for the AFAB employees is wearing a flowery apron, ie not working there at all.
That southern guy sharing his heartfelt story about coming to accept drag queens after one extended understanding kindness at their juvenile immaturity was quite touching, and all I really wanted to add to that is I don't know many southern people so he kind of reminded me of a younger Joel or something
@Judy Mwanzo Groomed them into empathy! Must be because they touched a gay! I mean a trans! Wait no, I mean not trans people it's just drag performers! 😂
It pisses me off too that more people arent seeing this as an erosion of THEIR rights. The thing with laws like this is that it sets a precedent; a precedent that can be used against anyone! Not just a minority group or someone from Texas but it will affect anyone and everyone who stands in the way of this law.
The rainbow mafia eroded my rights. My right to privacy, my free speech, my religion and my family values. All stomped on by the rainbow mafia. And now I got youtube expecting me to feel sorry for you all? HAHAHAHAH voting republican for the rest of my life.
I love it when they call it "biological gender". They're so adamant about sex and gender being the same thing, but even they realize they have to make the distinction between gender and "biological gender" because if they don't then there's no real distinction between trans and cis people in their rhetoric. It's almost as if though their entire argument and belief system against trans people is unfounded, not based on reality, and is objectively hateful or something.
@KC exactly! Libs and recently redicalized leftists who still think with lib frameworks think that calling fascists on their hypocrisy will work. I'm really sorry to say but it won't. Because they know they're hypocrites...
I just hope all postmenopausal women, pre-adolescents, and other biologically neutered individuals aren't caught wearing clothes which are biologically male or female.
This is the dept. of Agriculture. Are female employees suppose to chase around cows in ballgowns? I mean I would expect people of both genders to wear jeans and cowboy boots to protect themselves. This is crazy.
@@tytesseract I mean, saying that one has to dress in clothes typical of their assigned gender at birth is bad enough, but implying that gender is biological really tells you everything you need to know about this sinister fascist agenda.
I am a cis feminine presenting woman, but i fashion and wear men's jeans and shirts. I wear men's socks, because they are comfortable. Clothing is about individual expression and idenity. These laws will hurt so many people.
What was considered men's clothing and women's clothing has switched over the past 100 years. What we consider men's and women's clothing today is going to look pretty silly 100 years from now. Or if you're not willing to wait that long, just look at how different gendered clothing is in other cultures across the modern world. This law is not only unconstitutional, it will be impossible to enforce without inadvertently targeting cis people.
@@KangMinseok If you were to dress in the formal attire of 100 years ago at funerals or in court, you would look as out of place as if you were wearing a clown costume. Cultural norms change over time. If it were normalized to wear brightly colored clothing at funerals, then nobody would think twice if you showed up in a brightly colored costume. There are actually cultures that do this today, like how people will wear red to South African funerals, and white to East Asian funerals. The only reason gendered clothing norms exist is that everyone collectively agreed that's what these clothes mean. This has already changed over history, and is going to change again.
@@FrozEnbyWolf150 That wasn't my question though?! I am perfectly aware of the fact that the collective fashion sense CAN change. That's not an excuse for letting the individual violate collective fashion norms in i.e. professional settings though?! Society regulates human behavior for a reason, you know?
@@KangMinseok You're literally in favour of "fashion police," backed by law, with the ability to arrest and charge people for "violating collective fashion norms"? lolllllll incredible take
@@russellzwicker3226 Slippery slope fallacy, laws that protect i.e. the right of businesses or government institutions to set a dress code and to discipline workers that violate said code are not equivalent to a socio-cultural fashion police that can arrest or charge people on the street. Iololoolooloolooo111 incredible fail on your part.
How would an intersex person follow this law? Will they get arrested if they don't show up in a unisex uniform? Will cis passing trans men be arrested for following this law? How the hell are cops supposed to enforce this stupid law? How much money do they expect to make off of frivolous arrests of trans people and/or drag performers living in Tennessee? Wait, is the point of this law just to depower and drive out pro trans voters from Tennessee??? Holy fuck, now I get why this bill exists. This is horrifying.
Do they not understand this means transmen too would have to dress in women's clothes?? A bearded guy in a dress? (Not that bearded guys can't wear dresses if they want). These people are obsessed with transwomen.
It also means extra expense. A trans woman who has medically transitioned would probably have to get custom-tailored men's clothes to accommodate her breasts and hips.
And where is the line being drawn? Who gets to decide what are women's clothes and what men's? Will wearing pants be banned from women? I hope the transwomen getting affected by this bs will rock them kilts and form hugging button up shirts.
I suspect it is designed to "out" trans people so that they can be [fined] no matter what they do. "biological gender" is really an ambiguous term that can shift in meaning depending on the needs of the oppressor.
Thank you for saying you don’t blame others for leaving. I plan on doing so because I live in a ruby red state as a trans man. I want to raise hell before I leave tho!
I’m ashamed to admit this but I did go through a slightly transphobic phase where I thought transgender people are just adhering to gender stereotypes but the other way around. I came around by informing myself more and thinking about it, but one major thing that made me realise these so called feminists (TERFs) are not on my side and do not have very feminist intentions is when they started collaborating with people who have very rigid views of gender expression. I as a cis woman feel uncomfortable wearing feminine clothing and I realised I’m essentially being „thrown in“ with trans people because of that… recently I’ve noticed more stares in public bathrooms even! Of course this is horrible of me that I needed transphobia to affect me to see that I was wrong, to be fair that wasn’t the only reason, but just wanted to leave this comment here for any other gender non conforming people. Transphobes are not on your side. First they come for trans people, then anyone who doesn’t conform to their extremely strict gender rules.
@@MrCmon113 so in this analogy, “gender critical” “feminists” have teamed up with the side we all agree is actually evil to fight the greater evil of trans people??? Is that really what you think?
I'm afab nonbinary and I look very "womanly" even in more masc clothes, but regardless of what I wear or the length of my hair I feel weird in womens bathrooms because I'm so tall I can see over the stall. I can feel how uncomfy some women can be around me being in the bathroom and I'll be simply washing my hands or fixing my hair in the mirror minding my business
@@MrCmon113 fun fact: ussr has LOADS of money corruption throughout all of its history, and i can say that with full certainty as someone from a post soviet country for example when Leningrad (now Saint Petersburg) was occupied by nazis and people were starving to death, higher-ups traded expensive furniture, chandeliers, gold and other luxury items for so much food it could save dozens or even thousands of people from starvation there was never true communism in ussr, if anything it was just a different weird kind of capitalism also your point is absolutely unrelated and an analogy is usually not an argument at all; many terfs team up with literally fascists or turn into fascists overtime and if you think terfs hate conservatives you very clearly don't know jack about the topic; for example, there's quite a wide group of russian terfs currently actively supporting and voting for putin and i can absolutely assure you they're not doing it because they're "out of allies"
I’m neither trans nor American, but this is horrific. I can’t explain the amount of anger, rage that I feel. How dare someone dictate the way that people live their lives, what gives them the right to do this? Life without freedom to be who you are is not life at all.
I’m a trans man with bulging biceps and a beard.. I’m dying to wear a sundress, you kidding me? I’d kick down the door in a sundress and curtsy for them
What drives me nuts is that they think biogical gender must match biological sex. There is often a biological component to gender identity, but it’s in the brain, not the genitals! Current research indicates that one can end up with a neurological map of the body set to a sex that doesn’t match one's reproductive sex, or not set to expect a particular sex at all, which then contributes to physical dysphoria as the brain interprets sensation from incongruous anatomy (ex, breast tissue on a transmasc) as input from something potentially dangerous, like a tumor, causing discomfort. Similarly one can end up with sense of self-recognition related to sex set to an incongruous sex or not set at all... this system is important in pre-verbal learning of cultural and social expectations, and can contribute to the social dysphoria of not being recognized as your gender identity. It also can lead to the sense of uncanniness some experience upon puberty, when your reflection loses the ability to trigger the 'like me' reaction in these neurons based on pubescent changes. One must remember that humans are a complex intersection of biology, lived experience, and social environment. The brain is incredibly complex, and biology does not play in absolutes. I do want to mention that one doesn’t need to experience dysphoria to be trans... dysphoria is easier to notice. Gender incongruence can also be reconized by "gender euphoria" too. Personal preferences are valid and medical transition is not always desired, physically feasible, or necessary. Social transition is often more important. Also, one should note that sexual differentiation is not uniform across the body and we all have a mix of biologically "masculine" and "feminine" traits. We all produce unique mixes of both "male" and "female" hormones that fluctuate over time, and different cells across the body may be more or less sensitive to natural hormone levels in unexpected ways. This is what leads to those rediculous "transvestigations" insisting that cis people are trans because they don’t match a white-centric ideal of femininity. Heck, come to think of it... there has been a systematic attempt to eliminate intersex people for more than a century in the intrest of assigning infants a definite sex. Sterilization and genital reassignment has been the norm for infants born with "ambiguous" genitalia (even when they are reproductively viable... like microphalluses and undescended testies, or protruding vulvas). Our sense of defined absolutes of male and female are a result of eugenisist movements. Simplistic "biological sex" based on apparent reproductive function is too small of a way to understand the complex biology of human existence.
If I worked at a place that demanded I had to wear a dress; I just wouldn’t shave in protest. Have my long dark armpit & leg hair on show, they can’t police something that naturally grows out of everyone after all. Make them feel just as uncomfortable 😂 nah but the fact that this is our reality, in this day & age?! concerning as hell. I’ll never understand people who have such a massive issue with people just existing how they chose.
Whos to say they wouldn't make that a law eventually the way things are going lately. Hell if they forcing dress code who's to say they'll eventually force you to shave your legs and arm pits to comply.
"they can’t police something that naturally grows out of everyone after all" I wouldn't bet on that, I heard about schools sending kids home for their natural hairstyles. (Which is mad. It was how I learnt most of black people don't have straight hair like in every american movie I've seen.)
I'm also particularly puzzled by it being the Agriculture department. Presumably they have employees who do farm inspections, and that's an overalls and wellies job regardless of gender.
So our business recently was approached by the dept of agriculture because we sell plants that we grow ourselves, in the city. A fairly small quantity. Helps pay the water bill at home and at the shop. Doesn't matter we have to pay a fee every year and get inspected now. Not sure what else that particular inspector checks but he came in jeans and a button up and cowboy hat. Just like thousands upon thousands of people of any gender might wear in Texas.
That guy in the car who finally starts to get it... Yes buddy, they are lying to you outright to your face like you are some sort of chump loser. They have always been doing this. They have never wanted you to read the bills, or even pay attention.
The WILD concept of legislating what clothing people can wear aside, it's interesting they're going with the phrase "biological sex/gender" in anti-trans policy/legislation, it looks like the way they're going here in the UK. Thing is, it's kind of a meaningless dog whistle that doesn't have the rigid definition they think it does, and it could fall apart in court if they go after someone with the resources to fight it. Like post HRT trans body chemistry is way more closely aligned with the corresponding cis gender, so they'd have to pick body parts or chromosomes as identifiers and that's always going to exclude people because biology is weird.
Fascists (and that is what they are, fascists) use plausible deniability to cloak their heinous beliefs and behavior, in order to discredit suspicions about their ill intent. Here's hoping we can make it backfire and bite them in the ass. I see it as a moral obligation at this point for anyone who can survive it to absolutely refuse to take their bullshit. Men wearing skirts, women in flannel, everybody mixing it up and hopping on that genderfuck train. Make falsified reports to overwhelm whatever system they have in place. Make their absurd rules absurdly impossible to enforce
Intersex people just existing already throws a wrench into laws like this because if you're "both" what are you supposed to wear? Intersex people gotta double up and wear both uniforms I guess
Not even passively - he looked back on his own behavior and shared his shame over his behavior and spoke warmly of someone he believed he hurt. When he wasn't confident on his understanding of something (like why he chose to call Crystal Rain "they"), he was honest and straightforward and wanted to share his worries and his own feelings openly with an audience from a place of caring. I'd call that _actively_ anti-toxic, personally.
tbh it makes him seem more masculine that he’s so actively anti-toxic, and he may not realize it but it makes him so attractive tbh 😂 it feels weird to admit that but seriously, he’s so level and gentle and kind just from hearing him speak, makes me tear up a little 😭
That last video was really nice. The most wholesome moment of a wholesome video is when he realizes, after 18 years, the joke of Crystal Rain handing out Tootsie Rolls and Sugar Daddies. Fully grown man having an "Oh, I get it now!" moment. Awesome!
I tried telling my psych that I was trans. Of course they asked why and I started listing things off. one of the things was I couldn't wear skirt. She retorted that women wear pants. True, but there was a time when women couldn't or that some people still see pants as masc. Trying to explain what causes you gender dysphoria to a cis person can be hard. They can always rebuff it and say everyone does that. The only reason I said I couldn't wear skirts was because wearing them for me was like a signal to others that i'm a femme woman. When i was a closeted ftm.
Ty Turner conveyed it pretty well in his vid about weird dysphoria triggers, saying dysphoria is like that friend who has a story that they always bring up anytime something vaguely relevant happens, even if it's a completely inappropriate context, except with dysphoria the story was never funny or interesting to begin with.
So, I noticed that they said "biological gender" rather than "sex" or "AGAB". Does that mean that if I submit a brain scan showing that the biological structure of my brain is female, then I can dress in a feminine way? Does that mean *everyone* needs to be brain-scanned in order to make sure they are dressing according to their biological gender?
They don't know (or frankly, care) about any level of biology other than "were you born with a phallus or a vulva", and if you weren't or were ambiguous it's "ok what were you forced as an infant to be via surgery" (relating to intersex people). Regardless of hormones, fertility, other factors of your body, if you're intersex etc, they want to shove people into a "perfect" yet nonexistent binary for sex in order to justify their bigotry, whether they even realize it or not, and particular politicians are at the ready to take advantage of anyone who has a bias of unaddressed binaries they believe in in relation to sex, general biology, and how one presents themselves. Sadly, I do not think under this type of bigotry that anything in any form that is scientific would help, because while they throw around terms from science textbooks, they do not actually care about science.
Unfortunately, the brain scan thing is mostly pseudoscience. A 100% cisgender male could scan with a so called “female brain.” Not that these people actually care about science.
What is the difference between a male or female biological structure for a brain? I didn't know there was one, that's giving me something else to be dysphoric about lol
The man at the end, I thought at first was going to send me straight to heck, but instead I'm crying because how wholesome omg what real humanity and growth looks like. I hope more people can start seeing things like him.
I have skin damage on my legs from years of severe eczema, wearing tights makes it itch, it's too unsightly not to mention horrible for me to not wear leggings/jeans and a massive scratch trigger/temptation if I can easily get to it.
The clip at the end gave me a little hope in the world. I know not a lot of people are as accepting as he is, but the hope that people similar to him might be able to accept and defend us gives me hope
I'm not trans but I do love to dress as a woman given the time. It is so comforting and relaxing for me. No one can or will make me stop. I love my time spent as a woman
If women are all forced to wear traditional women's clothing then that will force women to stop wearing high heels because high heels were originally made for men to wear, not women. High heels are traditional male clothing so if these rules become wide-spread then I will start wearing high heels, with a toga around, and to put a cherry on top I will also wear those 1800s white wigs that Americans/Europeans used to wear. If you want me to wear traditional male clothing, then okay fine by me, I will.
Imagine how confused the Texas Agriculture Department gets when they walk into the WOmen's section in any store and see *gasp* jeans and suits. No but seriously I have no words for how dumb this is. Texas will have such a brain drain.
I was reading an article recently about a school where students were being restricted from seeing live performances of age applicable stories because the small cast meant that women and men played roles of both genders during the performance. It's such an overreaction, and yet i have no doubt that it won't be the end. Fella in the tiktok at the end seems like a decent sort now that he's grown up
This reminds me of when I saw a high school performance of Little Mermaid and Sebastian and Flounder were played by girls - very unnerving to me to think that something as simple as that could be treated as criminal in certain areas.
Ran across the article again, it was James and the Giant Peach that was the performance. I didn't realize that story wasn't intended to grade school kids 🤦
@@bellablue5285 We had that story read to our class in grade 2. Not sure why you think it is not for children. Edit: may have missed the facepalm emoji.(implying sarcasm)
By these laws I, a cis-woman, couldn’t wear the really nice knit sweaters I typically wear to work because they’re men’s sweaters. I’ve got broader shoulders and longer arms that what most brands deem to be within the “normal range” for women so if I don’t want several inches of my arms sticking out I’ve got to find sweaters and coats in the men’s area. It’s laughable, depressing, typical, so many emotions, that there were women who backed these kinds of rules that don’t realize it can and is going to affect them at some point too. Just waiting for the days when “biologically gendered”🙃 women are expected to only work in heels, nylons and skirts again. Don’t get me wrong, I’m not trying to take way from the fact that the point is cruelty towards trans and gender non-conforming poeple under a guise but to me this is an example that even supporters of these rules did not have the forethought to realize they’ve probably played themselves as well, and this is only from one perspective, it has unintended repercussions for a lot of supporters I bet.
Great video, newbie here, thank you! I am a cis gender woman, 46, and I have no idea why people aren't scared as hell about all of this.... people need to Educate themselves and stop being such bigots. Even my "liberal" friends are guilty of sending me gender critical propaganda bullshit, and I'm like, dude, what are you DOING? I am so sorry for all the trans community is going through.
That Tennessee man about brought a tear to my eye...I'm a Georgian, myself, and was closeted and self-hating for pretty much all of my childhood. It took my gf introducing me to real compassion and humanity for me to see how destructive my thinking was. She's a trans woman and I'm nonbinary, and we're best friends on a level I can't even begin to properly name. Closer than family, more than friends... I'm just thankful we met, and thankful that we learned how to grow and get out of the shitty mindsets we were raised to have. With time, even our parents are starting to educate themselves to become better people (though my mom has passed now, sadly).
Time for men of Scottish ancestry to break out the kilts. And for others to research premodern fashions and show up at work in the appropriate attire. You know the attire I mean: the colorful stuff; the hose; the shoes with the heels a bit higher than the modern; the ruffles and flounces on shirts; hats with broad brims and fancy feathers, even wigs. I understand that there were times when men powdered their faces. Or those Greek and Roman tunics that ended just above the knee. And women to find appropriate past fashions that might not pass today's muster.
@@labelle9921 Why is it that when you are a representative in Congress you cannot partake in the same rights you protect and assist in keeping safeguarded by legislation for your constituents? Something is wrong with this picture. First amendment never says anything about representatives creating or joining a protest being disqualifying. Yes that is probably in the house rules, but come on, you know they're going to try to change that to nail her to the wall. They did what they did because she challenged the status quo and they are angry, because she made them question what they believe.
People need to understand that transphobic laws and policies don't just affect trans people and enbies. They also affect GNC cis people, cis gals, and cis LGBTQ+ guys as well and are also racist to certain communities of color. There is no way to dress a certain gender without conforming to stereotypes and the "dominant" culture. Also, it shows the hypocriay of the "muh freeze s'peach" people since they claim to care about freedom and autonomy yet want to control how gals, enbies, and LGBTQ+ people dress and move them out of existence from beneficial parts of society. There are already numerous discussions and skits about how toxic, sexist, racist, and anti-lgbtq+ super strict regressive school dress codes are to girls and gnc students and how having super strict regressive dress codes at work create toxic work environments and reduce work productivity overall. The texas example makes even less sense when you realize that stupid policy is coming from the department if agriculture (the department full of farmers, ranchers, and other jobs that involve working in rural areas and handling produce and gardening stuff). A lot of millenials were very adamant about calling out student dress codes; some examples being when Vines was a thing and tumblr and buzzfeed were popular. We need to bring that type of energy back to reject and fiht against transphobic laws and policies.
I'm glad the software industry (at least on the West Coast, anyway) isn't big on dress codes. Someone new to the company asked me what the dress code was, and I said, "The dress code is... um, that you have to be dressed?"
Remember when people made fun of videos and articles criticizing school dress codes because they were made by "millenial sjws complaining about 1st world problems and identity politics" and that it was starting to "affect work/corporate culture" (a.k.a. people were dressing "less professional/formal")? Turns out that the people criticizing school dress codes actually knew what they were talking and the issues they tackled are still relevant today. Politically conservative and socially conservative boomers, Xers, and generations older than boomers tried to use zoomers to go against the politically liberal and socially liberal millenials. Turns out the majority of zoomers (the older zoomers at least) ended up siding with the "sjw" millenials and the Xers, boomers, and older folks are mad about that. That is why the alt-righters, Xers, boomers, and older people are attacking schools, education, colleges, libraries, the arts, and social media; they are trying to get younger zoomers and gen alpha to turn on the "sjw" millenials and older zoomers (trying to use the children rejecting parents' ideology trick on millenials and sibling rivalry trick on older zoomers). [This is why millenials made "ok, boomer" memes and why zoomers call Xers the "Karen and Kyle generation".]
@@electronics-girl unfortunately, that could change pretty soon since a lot of stem fields and careers are dominated by cis straight men and a lot of them are alt-right to alt-right-adjacent. Let's hope that doesn't happen since I can't imagine people at industries where dress codes are more lax being too happy if they suddenly decide to enforce strict gendered dress codes.
@@medtle1 Remember when people made fun of videos and articles criticizing school dress codes because they were made by "millenial sjws complaining about 1st world problems and identity politics" And you guys are still doing that. As a NBi Texan, thank you for making this video!! Surprisingly / unsurprisingly, all of the middle/lower income people I know are not planning on leaving the state, just because we financially can’t. This used to make me hyperventilate, but I realized that the LGBT+ people are still here, and I can survive and still thrive in a pocket of like-minded people. Interestingly, I recently brought up to some Texan family members how some friends were asking me if I’d move because of politics, and those family members were shocked. 🤨
I feel this 1000%. I can't afford to move and neither can my partner. My state isn't totally head over ass into the religious kool-aid but it is a red state still. It's my personal hope that people will realize the effects of these kind of laws will hurt them as well and will be willing to push back before it becomes insurmountable
It is never the government or anyone's else's place to tell you how to dress or act. Like what the actual shit? Are we progressing back to the 1950s here?
Biology has nothing to do with clothes😂 biological outfits would just be naked seeming as we come into the world without any clothes. If it wasn’t so terrifying it would be so silly
It's good to remember that relatively small actions irl sometimes have the power to change minds - 🤞 that they still can and that more people wake up to what's really happening in the current shitstorm before it's too late
So the cis women working there, in agriculture, are gonna have to wear what - dresses and heels? And then it'll be "women can't work in this list of departments because their clothes are inappropriate for the job".
I got a new job recently and it's shit in a lot of ways but they've been really good about the whole trans and it's honestly a breath of fresh air because every other job basically hasn't even tried in comparison
...why does the *agriculture* department, of all organisations, care what their employees wear? I've *seen* female farmers in jeans, work shirts and sturdy boots because that's what's sensible to wear if you're working with animals. The "dress code" for people who actually work in agriculture (you know... farmers) is "you wear what works", not "you dress according to how others see you", and I don't see why the governmental department which oversees them shouldn't follow suit.
that tiktok at the end... damn. made me tear up. thank you for sharing that with us. I would have never seen such a genuine, sweet, and empowering video if you hadn't.
A lot of dept of agriculture jobs cannot be done safely in "women's clothes." It would be fantastic if more cis women would realize that once they are finished with us they're going to turn these same rules on them.
Hi Kat, as I listen to you describe your experiences as a black trans woman and job seeker [before the laws started to catch up]; the ridicule, people making fun of your appearance not matching your paperwork, etc., I began to feel very sad and quite angry. Periodically, I check your content as it’s consistently excellent. You’re such an incredibly engaging, thoughtful, intelligent person that after listening to you speak, I'm left with the sense that those who most need to be educated and listen, are sorely missing out! As a middle-aged, cis black woman, I love listening to you and often learn something new. I particularly like your ability to deconstruct complex ideas, apply your experiences and really evaluate how these ideas impact others. I consider myself a LGBTQIA+ friend and ally and simply want to express my support and admiration for you and my other trans brothers and sisters. Keep up the excellent work!
that man's tiktok was really wholesome and also really sad. it is really nice to see that at least some people can and are willing to change for the better and are willing to be vocal with us especially when we need help the most.
The amount of conforming cis people in the comments cracking jokes about things like how awkward it will be if trans men are wearing dresses or trans women are around men in the bathroom tells me people really aren't getting how serious this currently is, and even if they think they are allies are ready to joke at our expense, even now.
This is not the first video I've seen of that Tennessee guy. He recently made a tiktok where he shared how being non-binary is like, to educate people who are confused at the fact that he has a non-binary spouse because they don't know what being non-binary means. And in that video he said that he has done another video like that before, but it lead to his spouse getting harassed and he didn't like seeing them go through all that. His tiktok account's been deactivated/privated recently so I hope they're both okay 💗
"I don't think we can just dismiss this as something happening at once department, agency or whatever. It has much larger implications, and the implication is very clear. Assimilate into a gender or you have no access to capital." THIS
These types of policies are absolutely horrid! They are downright evil! I’m a cis woman, but I have PCOS, and I’m worried I will be targeted because I can’t always hide my facial hair (that grows naturally, alongside my natural breasts). I also love multiple trans people in my life and I am so scared for them. Policies like these have zero understanding of conditions like PCOS or intersex people, and they seek to not only hurt trans people (which is evil) but they seek to hurt *anyone* who does not follow these rigid and antiquated stereotypes of what someone must look like, according only to their genitals?? My question is, are we to be subjected to genital inspections in public spaces now?! All for the “safety of children” as these perverts say as an excuse to demand to know what is in between everyone’s legs?! It’s absolutely criminal what is happening and I don’t understand how these monsters are getting away with it.
I feel like there is a connected issue in that expression is increasingly not being taught in school. In Britain (where I live) funding for the arts has become so minimal that when I was at school we didn't even have a music department. We had no extracurricular activities whatsoever. We only had core subjects, maths, science, English and practical subjects. Art class used to get taught by the design and technology teacher. If we don't teach expression, how can we expect people to accept it? That's why conservatives focus so much on removing funding from the arts so that expression becomes a fringe endeavour, not a part of most people's lives, making it easier to crush.
Contractors?! The rule is not only awful, but wild that they would be able to control the expression of employees of private businesses. Which would mean that no matter how liberal of a company you work for you could always be at risk of it just changing one day based off who your employer does business with.
I don't see how bio cis women do not see this legislation and others like it as a warning flag for their own lives too. Women in the army did not get the full OK to wear pants with their dress uniform until 2018 I think. I once worked for a company that had a mandatory pantyhose policy for all "women", even if one was wearing slacks. My mom made waves in the 60s because she wore an A-line skirt to class one day. My grand parents chose to not marry for 3 years because if they did my grandmother would have had to quit her job. I'm saying all this to say....no one is "safe" from the impact these laws can have if they continue. The goal post always keeps moving.
I'm realizing there are a lot of jobs out there now, as a biological female, that won't give me the option to wear dresses or skirts at all. Pants only. Which is a massive issue for me because it means I have to provide medical proof of an embarrassing medical condition I was born with where if anything touches my crotch at all I break out in rashes that nothing can treat well. I know most people will say my issue is irrelevant to this, but I'd like to point out that jobs these days discriminate hard on dresses and skirts regardless of what gender wears it(and this includes jobs in retail and fast food where wearing pants should NOT be a necessity). Can we all please just agree that as long as people's genitals are covered, what we wear shouldn't be that big of a deal? Can we grow up and let people choose their outfits? No? Okay. I'll be back with my doctor's note then cause apparently they're the adult in the room I need permission from for the rest of my life 😑
So, with that in mind, a biological born female cannot wear pants or female slacks, since pants and slacks were made for men only? And a biological born female has to have long hair too? Since a pixie cut is short and that would be considered a "mans" hair cut since its short.
Thanks for the video. Already know this is bad hope the law changes so anyone can wear whatever they want to wear. Also I would advise if you could put a link to donate to the ACLU to fight anti lgbtqia+ bills in the country
i absolutely refuse to ever apply to a job and give them my “chosen name” on the form bc it feels like a trap to ensure i just don’t get the job at all
I’m an east Texan born and raised and I can personally confirm that Texas is a bigot state. Interracial relationships are still frowned upon here but no one really harasses them publicly because of the current laws, but at the same time keep in mind east Texas was the last place to end slavery in America. The transgender hate here is savage. But with that said the hate is only spread towards the male to female community, not the transgender female to male community. Trans men live in the shadows publicly.. only receiving hate from family members. Which proves Texas is a bigot state because they only target one side of the transgender community. Texas is quick to control people that are different than them, Texas has a massive stack of cold cases and missing people cases. Most are hate crimes and not gang related. A hole lot of police corruption, and a hole lot of racism policing. My personal opinion.. these transgender people are not hurting anyone! Let them be! A lot of women dress in men’s clothing all the time and no one says anything.. but when a man puts on women’s clothing it’s an abomination. Women can openly be bisexual and it’s acceptable? If a man is openly bisexual he’s bullied into the ground. Literally! The biggest problem Bigots have is that they are extremely hypocritical and to ignorant to recognize their stupidity.
Texas is a cool state where your right to run around with a firearm is non-negotiable because of freedom, but you also must dress like little house on the prairie based on your birth certificate--also because of freedom.
May I wear a lungi with high heels? I ask about high heels directly because high heels are actually traditional male clothing. If women are all forced to wear traditional women's clothing then that will force women to stop wearing high heels because high heels were originally made for men to wear, not women.
As a cis-female... Wear what you want and use whichever bathroom you want. If I happen to see you in the restroom I will likely hold the door open for you or inquire as to your favorite lipstick color. Other than that, not of my concern. The fearmongering of trans individuals is just another expression of hate. I do not approve.
Amongst all the horror of these wicked bills, i appreciate the lovely end 2 your video. The mans story about meeting the queen Crystal Rain made me tear up in joy. Such cis men give me a twinkle of hope
What kills me is TX does this thinking it's a W, not realizing how insufficient it'll make the work force. Especially since some jobs already have mandatory dress codes for safety and production reasons.
And overall how useless it is. Like, not to be rude, I don't think GNC people are showing up to work dressed all willy-nilly. So it's like a slap in the face for this council to think workers can't manage work etiquette while expressing themselves.
When I heard "dress code and grooming" policy I immediately thought of the new child abuse related definition of grooming that the right is obsessed with these days and not like oh this is how you groom your hair... Child grooming paranoia in the workplace with no kids (until child labor laws end) that would just be absurd if that is what they meant.
Thanks for using your platform to talk about this. I know a lot of people are just continuing on as normal and it's kind of frustrating to see. Like ~ a lot of liberal white cis women are looking the other way and maybe occasionally being like "yeah it sucks that that has to happen to those people. i would never be transphobic."
I feel so blessed residing in a common sense state law where politicians on both sides are moderates who agree to disagree. I feel sorry for people in Texas and Florida under attack how they dress, what people read, exhausting stupid laws to conform to, with lots of freaking nonsense.

By the way this rule won't stand. SCOTUS Bostock Clayton 2020 already settled this. I didn't realize you weren't aware of this landmark decision
Traditional male clothes in my heritage include knee length skirts, ruffles and calico. If that department wants “biologically male” people in male clothes, there’s always that.
I do have some Scottish ancestors, so I could claim my skirt and purse are actually a kilt and sporran.
They said “traditional” male clothes, they never stated WHICH tradition you have to follow.
@@electronics-girl- And you can buy kilts and sporrans, to really mess with these twats.
Yes! Kilts. Properly worn without undergarments at that.
Yes kilts.
What? Did no one else come out of the womb in their own biological clothes? I had a Cinderella dress on and everything. It's all very biological.

There's a passage from "Stone Butch Blues" about a group of butches who were forced to wear dresses in order to be allowed to a funeral of their friend and the cruelty and humilliation of it or being arrested for not wearing 'at least 3 items of women's clothing' which reminds me of this dresscode :
"When we got inside, it took a minute to find
the right room. Then I knew we had found it. There,
around the open casket, were Butch Ro’s lifelong
friends. All of them were wearing dresses. That’s how
much they loved her.
These were burly, big- shouldered he- she s who
carried their womanhood in work-roughened hands.
They could playfully slap you on the back and send
you halfway across the room. Their forearms and
biceps were covered with tattoos. These powerful
butch women were comfortable in work chinos. Their
spirit roared to life when they wore double-breasted
suits.
Wearing dresses was an excruciating humiliation
for them. Many of their dresses were old, from
another era when occasional retreats were still
necessary. The dresses were outdated, white, frilly,
lace, low-cut, plain. The shoes were old or borrowed:
patent leather, loafers, sandals. This clothing degraded
their spirit, ridiculed who they were. Yet it was in this
painful drag they were forced to say their last goodbye
to the friend they loved so much. (...)Ro - the butch Alice had loved for almost thirty
years - lay in the casket next to her, laid out in a pink
dress and holding a bunch of pink-and-white flowers.
What cruel hand controlled this scene? I
saw them just as they saw Ed and me. It was Ro’s
family - father, mother, and brothers. They saw us the
moment we walked in, and whispered in the funeral
director’s ear. In a flash, the director announced the
funeral home was closing and we all had to leave. Just
like that. "
The cruelty is the point
another passage that's relevent: " I’m remembering the busts in the bars in Canada. Tacked
in the police vans, all the Saturday-night butches giggled and tried
to fluff up their hair and switch clothing so they could get thrown
in the tank with the femme women - said it would be like, “dyin’
and goin’ to heaven. ” The law said we had to be wearing three
pieces of women ’s clothing.
We never switched clothing. Neither did our drag queen
sisters. We knew, and so did you, what was coming. We needed
our sleeves rolled up, our hair slicked back, in order to live
through it. Our hands were cuffed tight behind our backs. Yours
were cuffed in front. You loosened my tie, unbuttoned my collar,
and touched my face. I saw the pain and fear for me in your face,
and I whispered it would be alright. We knew it wouldn ’t be,
I never told you what they did to us down there - queens
in one tank, stone butches in the next "
CW SA "I never said these things to you.
Tonight I remember the time I got busted alone, on strange
tuff. You’re probably wincing already, but I have to say this
to you. It was the night we drove ninety miles to a bar to meet
friends who never showed up. When the police raided the club we
were “alone, ” and the cop with gold bars on his uniform came
right over to me and told me to stand up. No wonder, I was the
only he-she in the place that night.
He put his hands all over me, pulled up the band of my
Jockeys and told his men to cuff me - I didn’t have three pieces
of women’s clothing on. I wanted to fight right then and there
because I knew the chance would be lost in a moment. But I also
knew that everyone would be beaten that night if I fought back,
so I just stood there. I saw they had pinned your arms behind
your back and cuffed your hands. One cop had his arm across
your throat. I remember the look in your eyes. It hurts me even
now.
They cuffed my hands so tight behind my back I almost
cried out. Then the cop undipped his pants real slow, with a
smirk on his face, and ordered me down on my knees. First I
thought to myself I can’t! Then I said out loud to myself and
to you and to him, “I won’t!” I never told you this before, but
something changed inside of me at that moment. I learned the
difference between what I can’t do and what I refuse to do.
I paid the price for that lesson. Do I have to tell you every
detail ? Of course not. "
this is SO true and raw. i hate to leave such an underwhelming reply but just wanted to share, this shows how "criminalizing people for wearing 3+ items of gender non-conforming clothing" easily becomes "criminalizing people for NOT wearing 3+ items deemed actively conforming enough." i find the insidiousness of that interesting. at that point, taken to its extreme, we'd be imposing dress codes on people.
We know who Ro’s real family was in this instance.
Thanks to everyone for sharing snippets of this book. Very enlightening.
@Your Mom oh that would be perfect
Wdym you’re gnc but not trans?/gen
Dudes should come dressed like the founding fathers: tights, wigs, face powder, and heels! Or in kilts!
Damn straight! Any male professional should be wearing appropriately high heels, as their forefathers did!
Aye.
That sounds kewl
Actually the founding fathers were very egalitarian! They had female friends. They saw women as human, just like men, and not a hot chance for intercourse.
And their clothing styles were androgynous and egalitarian. They didn't put pressure on women to put makeup and wear heels because everyone did that. (look at paintings of founding fathers and mothers, both were wearing those things and looked very androgynous)
"Millions of innocent men, women and children, since the introduction of Christianity, have been burnt, tortured, fined and imprisoned; yet we have not advanced one inch towards uniformity. What has been the effect of coercion? To make one half the world fools, and the other half hypocrites. To support roguery and error all over the earth." -Thomas Jefferson.
As John Adams told his friend Mercy Otis Warren in 1776, “the Ladies I think are the greatest Politicians.”
The founding father who left the largest body of correspondence with female friends was Thomas Jefferson.
They went to plays, concerts and exhibitions together, and Jefferson spent much of his time at the Adams’ home.”
He genuinely saw his female friends as human, and had deep connections with those women without ever reducing them to their reproductive organs. These were real egalitarians and I have no idea how the republicans of today could even claim to follow those noble humans.
These are the humans liberals should put on their forefront. Even with no internet or encyclopaedias, they were more intellectual than today's republicans.
@@justinaacuriouswanderer1496 Wow, very well said!
Also, the violet braids are 😍

Always baffles me that cis women don’t think transphobia can affect them. I’m a cis woman so I’m assuming I’d be expected to wear a dress everyday. In my experience, regardless of the weather, femme presenting people in my office are always wearing pants.
Biological men invading female spaces is affecting us
Policies like this were used to ban women from wearing pants or require women to have specific dress codes and were found to be unconditional. This will be interesting.

This is so true. And some jobs required you to wear pants and not a skirt or a dress thus making it impossible for women to do.

My mom used to get kicked out of school for wearing pants, I got kicked out for wearing “spaghetti straps” that were a half inch thick…when will this shit end
on the left, have a skirt, on the right, have a single pant leg. piss everyone off >:3
They used to have cases of this way back in the day. They would force the person to wear like half male clothing, half female clothing.
I always think about intersex people when they make transphobic laws because they never seem to, like what uniform do they get? A tunic? But seriously these laws and what the transphobic people who support them say begin to fall apart as soon as you bring up intersex people
The percent of intersex people is below 1.7…
GNC cis women need to realize that patriarchy will never reward them for their transphobia lol. It's like the scene in Handmaid's Tale where they flashback to Serena Joy giving a speech and being the face of the religious group, but when the men, the real people in charge, meet behind the scenes she's literally left out of the room.
Yeah, we are never ever going to be part of the club. They'll use women to do their dirty pick me work, but there will never be enough that we can do to get treated as equals.
I think about that all the time. You think you're in charge but you're not.

Or if you're not willing to wait that long, just look at how different gendered clothing is in other cultures across the modern world. There are actually cultures that do this today, like how people will wear red to South African funerals, and white to East Asian funerals. First they come for trans people, then anyone who doesn’t conform to their extremely strict gender rules.

there was never true communism in ussr, if anything it was just a different weird kind of capitalism
also your point is absolutely unrelated and an analogy is usually not an argument at all; many terfs team up with literally fascists or turn into fascists overtime and if you think terfs hate conservatives you very clearly don't know jack about the topic; for example, there's quite a wide group of russian terfs currently actively supporting and voting for putin and i can absolutely assure you they're not doing it because they're "out of allies"

Well said!

I wouldn't bet on that, I heard about schools sending kids home for their natural hairstyles.

Why does non-toxic masculinity bring a tear to my eye? Maybe it wasn't that he was just non-toxic but just passively anti-toxic.

Shit, I didn't know chromosomes had a built in dress code. Much wow. /S
Imagine the Head of Agriculture’s reaction when they walk into work, and nobody else is wearing their penis/vulva/etc suits!!!
They don't understand biology to that point and you know they wouldn't accept that. This is purely a biblical interpretation type thing.
They only accept what’s between the legs, what is in the brain may be “grooming”🙄 and being intersex happens less than 1% so that doesn’t matter.

@@medtle1 Remember when people made fun of videos and articles criticizing school dress codes because they were made by "millenial sjws complaining about 1st world problems and identity politics"
And you guys are still doing that. You live in a 1st world country where everything is given to you on a silver platter, is it really too much to ask to just dress properly?
@@sabersin5368-c2c "degenerate"? since when women wearing pants or men wearing skirts is "degenerate"? get your brain working hun it's actively rotting and pouring into your keyboard
I really see this as the start of a lot of sexual harassment lawsuits.
Depends, i mean does that mean nudism is the norm now?

That guy from tennessee.. so sweet 😭
If Laws were passed in every state were we had to be in dresscode in everyday life, I'll Purposely break the dresscode just to piss them off.
that man's tiktok was really wholesome and also really sad. it is really nice to see that at least some people can and are willing to change for the better and are willing to be vocal with us especially when we need help the most.
The Tennessee guy’s story was really heartfelt 🥺❤ I’m happy he’s there to support!!
The amount of conforming cis people in the comments cracking jokes about things like how awkward it will be if trans men are wearing dresses or trans women are around men in the bathroom tells me people really aren't getting how serious this currently is, and even if they think they are allies are ready to joke at our expense, even now.
I'm sure I read somewhere that most trans people don't medically transition, which makes sense considering how many barriers there are.
As a biological female who was born in heels, a skirt, and false eyelashes, I can confirm that Texas's Ag. Department's dress code is accurate.
Wasn't expecting that wholesome video at the end. Much love to that guy who finally gets it.
Assimilate into a gender or you have no access to capital." THIS
I'm the reporter who broke this story (in the Texas Observer) and a subscriber of yours. It's really cool to see this here.
The anti- drag laws also criminalize Halloween. Just so people know, they made it illegal to celebrate Halloween
Every time they say “biological gender,” I feel the trolling.
I always get so fucking annoyed when people act like we should be bound to hairstyles and fashion choices dictated by genitals.😊
No? Okay. I'll be back with my doctor's note then cause apparently they're the adult in the room I need permission from for the rest of my life 😑
That tik tok was really touching. I know you said it was but i didn't expect to get the feels
So, with that in mind, a biological born female cannot wear pants or female slacks, since pants and slacks were made for men only? And a biological born female has to have long hair too? Since a pixie cut is short and that would be considered a "mans" hair cut since its short.
And if that same biological woman is sent home for a "masculine" haircut, what is she supposed to do? Stay home til it grows?

Thanks for the video. Already know this is bad hope the law changes so anyone can wear whatever they want to wear. Also I would advise if you could put a link to donate to the ACLU to fight anti lgbtqia+ bills in the country
i absolutely refuse to ever apply to a job and give them my “chosen name” on the form bc it feels like a trap to ensure i just don’t get the job at all
Imagine enforcing a dress code on an entire state. Thats some authoritarian bs
Well, some indian men wear a long skirt called a lungi , and as an Indian I give you all the lungi pass ....so..
When did clothing have a sex or gender? Clothes are just clothes and every culture treats them differently.
These people have no freaking idea what they're doing, they just want to micromanage and control what other people do with their lives.
thank you for adding that last story. it was very sweet and gave me hope
