receptionist of the guesthouse is such a kind lady...she really ran helped you push your bike...im loving this vietnam series! really made me visit vietnam again..the north is really a beauty.
Looking forward to every episode, some epic editing skills too. My prediction is a TV production company is gonna see you and snap you up to be a travel presenter.
Yes indeed. Paddy is the English version of Michael J Fox ... Back to the Future 4 perhaps? ... In the meantime doing an excellent job filming editing presenting independently without being locked into the rigours of a production company.
@@LEObondTraveller Exactly, I have the same thinking since I followed his vlog. He got that "Marty" looks and personality that caught my attention. I hope he will be on TV soon.
That lady at the guesthouse was awesome! She looks like she took good care of you and had your back! 💪 Hope you got everything sorted out, and are back on the road again. Safe travels!! 🙂
What a day!! The kindness and hospitality of the woman was so lovely to see. I am loving this new series already, I got serious chills when you said 'this one ones of the best days of my life'.
Those pigs @6:00 looked so clean and healthy! I haven't seen Vietnamese domestic food animals in person, but I do know - going by the egg quality - that the chickens there are living much better than the US cage factory chickens
I love the episodes with a little bit of conflict because it lets Paddy's optimism shine. I'm sure it's frustrating and a lot of emotion happens off camera but Paddy seems to be able to find some light. It's also just so real. Chin up and carry on, sir! Excited to follow your adventures in Vietnam.
Wow, the new intro is epic! Be careful on those roads. Hope all those flat tires and land slides are not a omen. Perhaps you should keep a can of "Fix a Flat" on Super Dreamy. Enjoy the adventure! Always look forward to your videos!
The fortunate thing about Honda motorbikes in Vietnam is there are mechanics in every village. Flat tire? Ha! You could probably have found someone to overhaul the engine if you needed it. Nice lake too.
I've arrived in Hanoi and will stay here for a year, so researching for best places to see. So thanks a lot for those videos! Yeah, it's not easy to adjust to a new place, and always at the beginning, problems arise, but it's true that Vietnamese people are always willing to help with smiles on their faces. Very friendly, very kind people ❤
A puncture repair kit, a few tools and 20 minutes of your time learning to fix a puncture could save you from being stranded in a remote location. Also I'd stop riding as soon as you notice a puncture or even low air, continuing to ride on a flat tire can destroy it and make it unfixable ensuring the repair bill is much more expensive than just a patch. Loving the new adventure in Vietnam. Stay safe Paddy and keep it on the next level.
Loving this series so far. I am currently saving hard so I can visit Thailand again later this year for 2 or 3 months, but these videos are inspiring me to spend a month travelling through Vietnam on a bike whilst I am in that part of the world. Enjoy the rest of your trip!
im a Vietnamese and i could say that not everyone but almost Vietnamese people in any where belong Viet Nam you could get help anytime , we are friendly and welcoming to all people from around the world.
I notice your bike has spokes. If you continue to get flats, you may want to check the spoke side and make sure you have a plastic or cloth strip that COMPLETELY covers them so that you aren't getting the inner tube poked from the inside when you hit bumps. I had one bicycle ride years ago where I got five flats on the ride, and that was what was causing them. Also, how would it feel to carry an extra inner tube, patch kit and tire change kit, like bicyclists do for when you are out in the boondocks? Beautiful countryside. Thank you for sharing your adventures.
Another great video! I've been living in Myanmar, Turkey, China, and now Thailand, and can't travel because of work, but I get my fix watching your videos! I love how honest you are with your experiences as well. Few channels show the flat tires :)
As I did parts of your planed tour, here some recomendations. Rua Xe is for minor repairs like a flat tire or for changing oil. At Rua Xe its also big fun to wash your Honda CUB. I drive a kind of Honda Dream here in Europe too (Honda Innova) I recommend Micheline City Grip Tire (extra protection agauist flat tires) and its available in your sizes. Front 70/90-17 and rear 80/90-17.
The joys of travel haha. It's great though isn't it? The best part about it is that unlike normal life, you're more focused and motivated to keep pushing on to get to the next point.
Paddy your editing and video quality is epic. I have been following you since you started your adventure in Thailand (77 provinces) and not only you have become more positive but your story telling is amazing. I am hooked once again! Congrats
0:41sec starting your video.. ok tips for flat tire WHICH USING TUBE. 1. Always had a wide enough band of tube cut off to wrap the inner steel rim.. oftenly the rim or the stud eating the tube. 2. Always wrap the new tube with the existing tube WHICH cleared from any tube eaters.. 3. Always check the tyre.. tyre which old & do not have enough rubber at the center tend to flat when bitten by stone.. 4. 200kpa tyre pressure.
Great to see you look at life like I do! You got to meet interesting people and stop places you would normally drive through because of the flat tires. Everyday is an adventure. I believe we are meant to have these random encounters and it makes for good content also. Great job! I can't wait to see the next one.
It’s the most amazing country the people are beautiful very sincere … caring our son Tom has lived in Vietnam for over 6 years has travelled myyy goodness the adventures the village life people are amazing You’ll love it Paddy Tom lived in Sapa opened an Italian restaurant in Dong Van called Roma go he’s not involved in it any more Be safe love your UA-cam adventures 😛
Trip never to be forgotten mate, beer lunch/breakfast while they fix the tire, true stories 👊 Second flat one, owno, we will see how that turned out in the next one, C Ya, cheers 🙌🍻
It seems you meet the nicest people on your little Honda & the way things are starting out you are due to meet many more. When things quit going to plan that is when the adventure begins. This should be a good one. Soldier on !
Thanks you 'cause visit my country, Viet Nam. Furthermore, thanks you cause inspire and sharing experience to me. Next month, i will travel through MY COUNTRY by my own bike. Your knowledge is useful to me.
I took a motorcycle ride to the northernmost part of the country in 2019 and had so much fun. The road wasn't really great at the time as many constructions were going on. But the scenery is a top notch. Would be back again for sure.
Love your positive mentality. I was wonder if there is such a thing as solid rubber tire for motocycles, like those for cars and never worry about flat tire again? That will be awesome for this type of adventures.
Glad to hear you know about dummy wallets in Vietnam… I always carry one everywhere traveling. Put a little cash and a few old “dead” credit cards etc. if you get mugged… they just want something and want to get away quickly.
Those tube tires are prone to flats. Best to get a new tube and tire as well. Carry a new tube or several with you. In Thailand they put in a new tube every time and they will still blow on a pothole.
I am quite new to your channel. There are a good number of youtubers doing South East Asia trips. I like your channel the most. I don't ride a motorbike and I don't plan to any motorbike at all on my Sept trip to Thailand. But your videos are truthfully inspiring. You have the personality and skills that attract people to watch and see what you are doing. You are so genuine and talented . Take a rest if you have to and I will stay tuned to your latest videos. Thank you for sharing.
You need to run an old tube cut up as a liner between the tube and the tyre to minimise abrasion, and basically just fill your tubes with run flat liquid.....not recommended over 80-90km/h so ok for Steamy or whatever this one is called....
Nice one Paddy, I know exactly the feeling you mean. When you are in a deep sense of adventure, nothing really matters other than the experience. They are all stories to tell.
I think learning how to ask to fix an inter-tube and replace a tire are the two things I need to learn how to say in another language, I remember having a huge issue at a mechanics place in Thailand trying to ask him to replace a tire until his son came home from school and could translate for us, google translate just didn't work, but we got it resolved in the end.
So glad I've just found your channel mate. I used to watch Globe Trekker many years back, and you have taken me back to then. Binged tons of your videos today. Amazing work Paddy. 👏 🔥
Tip no. 347/B... Buy a couple of new spare inner tubes to carry with you. Cheap as chips (70 Baht) and take up little space. Much better than bicycle repair patches which is what you get in most countryside shops. Just give the blokes a new inner tube.. Tip no. 348/C Learn to fix a flat yourself. Very simple, few tools needed, and very rewarding, espesh in the middle of nowhere. 3 spanners to get the back wheel out (only 1 on the front) and 2 tire levers. Bish bosh, jobs a good 'un. Self reliance man.
A tire plug kit n small hand pump or 12volt pump is a must kit too have ,here in nfld ,canada ,70 ooo km on my v strom sea,you should come for a visit,in summer.
Saw you on with some people I follow in Pattaya , saw your name on this set tour and it’s good, thanks for putting ep numbers on each video. Take care and I’m following your adventures. Get a new tire and tube.
Paddy I have loved watching all your videos! I have finally caught up to your Vietnam series! Watching your journey around Thailand to finish had me crying! It has made me want to come back home to Thailand more than ever now!! And decided to create this account so I could subscribe and leave you this message :) Can't wait for the next episode!!
More adventures from Vietnam coming every three days this summer! so SUBSCRIBE and don't miss a single installment 🇻🇳✌🇻🇳
I like your helmut.

After spending a great deal of time in rural Vietnam That sincere hospitality abounds throughout👍🏻👍🏻
Will be back again in September.
I love how people in these small villages are so helpful and happy.
like it
It’s good to see all yours mishaps. It’s good to know what to expect
Looking forward to every episode, some epic editing skills too. My prediction is a TV production company is gonna see you and snap you up to be a travel presenter.
I grow up in the film industry in Los Angeles. Paddy is star waiting to happen!
What's a tv?
He is a great personality

I think it's time to give your motorbike a name. "Flatty", loving your adventures thus far mate
I love how self aware you are about crazy days. In the moment they are stressful but they tend to be the travel memories you remember the most.
My gawd! You couldn’t have scripted this adventure better. What a day! I am not sure I believe you when you say this is what you live for.
What a day!! The kindness and hospitality of the woman was so lovely to see. I am loving this new series already, I got serious chills when you said 'this one ones of the best days of my life'.

You are such a trooper, Paddy! Positive attitude entire way, even with the road bumps and mishaps. ❤️
Just watching this series now, as I will be doing a similar trip in a month. This video was such a great watch, very real with a bitter sweet ending!
Keep your spirits up paddy! have a beer or two! you got this!

Flippin heck Paddy 😳. At least you're positive at the end of the day. 💪🏻👏🏻
Love your positive attitude. The Vietnamese are quite helpful.
Great attitude Paddy. Hopefully that’s it with flats. Maybe buy some new tires front and rear.

I love your comment at the end. You couldn’t plan this stuff. It’s a great adventure and what memories are made of.

All journey has it ups and downs. Just tell yourself "I will be alright" and the journey will be fabulous. Throw the anxiety in the back seat.
A true travellers experience and best of all, just how relaxed you are. Im loving the new adventures vlogs already. 😎
How lucky was finding the guy to repair the tyre right off the bat. Great series so far. Thoroughly enjoying this.
That new intro really gets me excited 🔥🔥🔥 Thanks for making the great content! You are a inspiration 🔥
The joys of travel haha. It's great though isn't it? The best part about it is that unlike normal life, you're more focused and motivated to keep pushing on to get to the next point.
Love your Thailand epic journey and really enjoying this new adventure.
Thank you for being so real.
Love you long time in Vietnamese 😘😘😘
Vietnamese people are so kind and helpful
South East Asian people are kind. VN, PH, TH, IND, Laos etc.
Such kind helpful people 🙏🏼 .. I think you should call the bike freedom ❤️
You have a great attitude Paddy! Just deal with whatever comes up and laugh about it after taken care of the situation.
Paddy your editing and video quality is epic. I have been following you since you started your adventure in Thailand (77 provinces) and not only you have become more positive but your story telling is amazing. I am hooked once again! Congrats
Incredible! Love this video. Always glad to see something new from you!
It's all worth it, Paddy. Adventure on 2 wheels is what 4 wheelers can never offer. Stay strong, and you'll be good along your way.

Don't know why but just loved that video that guy's face in the petrol station classic
Flat tire after flat tire?? OMG!! But it makes your journey have so many stories to tell. ❤️
The lady at the inn is your guardian angel 👼🏻👼🏻
Hi Paddy. In terms of challeges, I think Vietnam is a lot more fun to watch than Thailand. Subscribed to yr channel!
Nice one Paddy. Great to see you smile despite the mishaps.
Sorry to see you had such headaches (literally) on the first day. This little place alongside the lake looks picturesque.
Good on you, a good attitude makes a challenging situation positive.
It’s the most amazing country the people are beautiful very sincere … caring our son Tom has lived in Vietnam for over 6 years has travelled myyy goodness the adventures the village life people are amazing

Second flat one, owno, we will see how that turned out in the next one, C Ya, cheers 🙌🍻
Great adventure with 2 flat tyres and you are handling it well, nice
Using the solid-tire ( non-air tires ) for long motobike trip and stop 5-10 minutes every 100km for reducing engine heat and the tires
My first time ever leaving a comment on someone’s video! Good luck on your adventure and safe travels! Rough start but will get better I know it
The positive vibes at the end are great! Thank you, Paddy.
It seems you meet the nicest people on your little Honda & the way things are starting out you are due to meet many more. When things quit going to plan that is when the adventure begins. This should be a good one. Soldier on !

Not a great start for Paddy, but a great start for us viewers! What an amazing adventure you’re just setting out on, enjoy mate.
You’re a strooper Paddy!! I don’t know if I would have had the patience for getting those shots after my second flat tire!!
You need to run an old tube cut up as a liner between the tube and the tyre to minimise abrasion, and basically just fill your tubes with run flat liquid.....not recommended over 80-90km/h so ok for Steamy or whatever this one is called....

I love your outlook. That must've been really stressful and frustrating, but you chose to look at the positive in it. I can't wait to see more.
So good to see you back on the road on a bike, this is what I love about your videos. stay safe mate....
So buzzing that you’re doing this series and can’t wait to follow it!
From my point of view I think perhaps the tire is not in good condition(old tire).

Learn to fix a flat yourself.
Very simple, few tools needed, and very rewarding, espesh in the middle of nowhere.

Paddy I hope your going to Sapa and there is a beautiful walk into a village where the Mong people live..great walk
may I remind you that the adventure in Thailand also started with some mishaps ;-) looks awesome ! enjoy weeks to come :)
Loving the new series paddy, stay safe!
Cool looking helmet!
I don't know if you can get them in Vietnam but you can install foam tubes in your tires that will prevent punctures and pinch flats.
Change to alloy rims and some good tubeless tyres, they will last long! You only need hand pump and puncture repair kits to diy.
You should get plastic pump about 300 grams for emergencies.
Thank you for sharing , enjoy ...
Thank you Paddy! Breakdowns make for more interesting vlogs. Good luck.
