- Wondering how to stream on Facebook Gaming? Wondering how to start streaming in general? Using my personal Facebook Gaming live stream setup, Ill teach you how you can easily start streaming on Facebook Gaming or any other platform using an Elgato HD60!
I started streaming on Facebook at the end of last year and have seen tremendous growth in a short time. If you are just using the Elgato application to record and stream, it can be a little tricky to set it up to stream to Facebook. In this video, I'll walk you through my personal setup and help you go live today!

Thanks for the video man I just stream yesterday for the first time, I had problems to stream at 1080 or a good quiality even tough my PC has good specifications but when you said that you cant stream at 1080 until you are a level up page that makes more sense, keep the good work!!

Another question what about using it with streamlabs OBS?
Yeah I’m sure Elgato works with streamlabs obs, but I can’t test it out to be sure. It’s windows only. Once I get my PC I’ll be able to test all the more common ways of streaming.

Finally a video that’s straight forward without dragging what to do haha 😂 but my only question is do I need a high speed or gaming PC or Laptop to run the Elgato software to stream? I want to stream off ps4 but I only have a 180-200$ touch screen laptop idk
Haha I try my best! And you don’t need the best gaming pc. (Though it is highly recommended you have a pc with a powerful cpu and graphics card) I got by with my MacBook. It should be able to run the program, but it might struggle

Hey, This video helped me allot. I was wondering about camera position. I see some streamer have there camera in the bottom left corner. Are you able to move your camera on PS4 / PS5 or it’s only pc players
Yep you can move anything asset on the screen where ever you like. Just click on your camera box while you're in edit mode and drag it to where you want it. Hope this helps! 🙏🏽

When you connect the audio splitter to your controle does it also stream the party/game chat on fb live?
Now it has an optoin to stream directly to your gaming page its in the drop down menu as a choice

Hey glad I could help you out! I don't have a particular camera setup guide for Elgato yet, but it's pretty easy to set up. I recommend starting with a USB webcam. Just plug it into your computer and click the little box on the bottom right, (it looks like a box with a plus sign). Then scroll down to "add a webcam".

So if I got the elgato and I want to be able to talk through my headset mic on stream ... all I need is that audio splitter ? Or do I need to have anything else

You’ll need to plug in a webcam into your PS4 if you want to us a camera with this method. I recommend getting a capture card if you want to go all in in the future
Can you help me with my steaming. For some reason I can’t hear my audio when playing live. I can hear it on live but not on my headset. I’m using my iPad to play mobile games and streaming through my elgato hd60s onto FB gaming. Thank for any help

Aye glad I could help you out! Make sure your audio from your controller settings are all the way up. If they are, you might have to plug your headset into your computer to control the audio better. I'm not sure how your friends can hear your audio though. Unless you have it coming out of your monitor and it's being picked up by your mic?

For the smoothest streaming and gaming on a budget, I would recommend getting a Ryzen 5 3600 CPU with a GTX1660 Super GPU. 16GB of ram at least! This is close to my current set up and it is SMOOTH for least than $800 💪

Are you talking about your built in webcam on the laptop or a USB webcam you plug into the laptop? If you look at the bottom right of the preview window you should see a little square with a plus sign in it. That’s how you add scenes/overlays to you stream. Click on it and you should see an option to add a webcam.
Can you do this and use the PlayStation camera ? I’m on PS5 and have the PS5 camera .

Will the elgato let the chat hear your voice off your headphones if there hard wired? Also will the chat be able to hear your other ps4 friends while in a party? Awesome video 😎
No to your first question about the headphones. You'll need to use an external mic. OR if you have the Elgato HD60s, it has instant preview in the app, so you can hear your game in real-time. Plug your headphones into your computer and use the mic as your chat mic and there you go. Yes to the second question. As long as you have the setting turned on in your party settings. Hope this helps!

Unfortunately you can’t use the PS4 camera with other hardware other than a PS4. You can use your laptop webcam or a usb webcam or a DSLR if you have one.

Streaming takes a lot of computer power, but you should be able to swing it even on a chrome book so yeah. You just might have problems here and there.

Right lol it always seems like we are missing stuff. I choose Facebook because it is a newer platform with less people streaming on it but more people watching. Meaning it's easier to grow an audience from 0. The windows and Mac versions look different, but you should still be able to add a custom RTMPS. Make sure you turn on the persistent stream key feature on Facebook too.
I set my video bitrate to 2500 kbps and its good... But no matter how much i change .y audio bitrate it just distorts , strucks and no game sound to my viewers While streaming . Can u please help???
So do you just stream right from Elgato? You don’t use stream labs or anything ?
What if you have wireless headphones... does the chat still come through stream or would you need to plug the headphones into el gato?
yeah with wireless headphones it's like plugging them into the controller. All the audio goes to the headphones and the elgato won't pick it up. You should plug the headphones into the elgato with the spitter and switch the audio from HDMI to Analog.
How do i add webcam capture to the screen as well. Using a green screen.
On the capture software under the preview window there are these squares. Those are ur different scenes. Click on one and on the right side you’ll see “edit scene” click that. Then under that you’ll see a tiny box with a plus sign. Click it and add webcam. The webcam will pop up and u can move it around. When u click on it, there should be 3 options. The green screen button looks like a person sitting, click that to turn on the green screen. Future video on that coming real soon.
Is it possible to get audio from my Bluetooth headset or does it have to be hard wired? Thanks
Yo! That's a good question. If you are connecting you bluetooth to your computer then you can hear the game as it plays back in game capture. But if you have the headphone connected to your PS4, I don't think it will work, because you will lose the HDMI audio connection, just like when plugging headphones into the controller. Makes sense?

Yo, imma do a video on how to set up alerts, but to answer ur question now you have to use either streamlabs or streamelements to set up alerts. Just create an account and link your Facebook page. Then set up alerts and copy the link into a source in game capture.

So I got the capture card set up and everything, but I'm having 2 issues
1. How do I hear my own gameplay sound on my earphones/headphones ect ( Do I need some sort of splitter or etc? )

Yo! So I haven't done too much mobile streaming myself, but I can try to answer. The audio should be monitoring from you computer. I'd just plug headphones into your computer to hear the audio if you can't do it on your iPad. And did you try adding a webcam to your scene? The default webcam should be your laptop. I don't know about using a phone as a webcam unless there is some type of app. Hope this helps!

Yes! You just need to set up your elgato as a video source in OBS and you should be good!

What’s the specs of your laptop? I was using a $2300 2013 MacBook Pro to stream before and had lots of problems. There are powerful laptops but for the most part you’d have better quality using a Desktop.

Nope just need to be playing a game. It can be digital or physical

Could you please help me with one thing... I have got everything set up with the elgato and connected it to my facebook streaming. I was wondering if it were possible to stream on both my facebook live and UA-cam live at the same time using elgato? My next question, how do you create an overlay within the live stream, as in how can i put up my webcam on the top corner whilst live streaming the video game i'm playing? FINALLY lol, do you know how i can use my phone as a webcam during a livestream of an xbox game or something, so the overlay will be the phone webcam connected to the PC. I downloaded this thing called epoccam which is meant to support elgato but not sure how to use it. Sorry, it's a lot of questions, but it's hard figuring all this stuff out on your own!
So you don't use Streamlabs at all? Also how did you add your cam overlay?
I used to use streamlabs but I switched to StreamElements lol. To add overlays, just click the little box with the plus sign towards the bottom of the screen.
How about the splitter I know you mentioned you would talk about it later in the video, maybe you forgot . But I’m using stream labs off of a Mac . And I had to do all this runaround to make it work like downloading ndi source and what not . Now I can’t get my audio when I go live. It works while I’m not live then as soon as I go live it stops and all people can hear is my speech that is being picked up by desktop. Please if you have any info that would help ! I subscribed ! Lol
I did forget to talk about the splitter haha. I use that to route the audio from my controller to the elgato and use the other port to here the game in my headphones. I only use the spitter because my monitor doesn't have a headphone jack. Otherwise I'd just have the audio go through the HDMI.
As for your audio problem, make sure for whichever method you are using you have the right input selected in your capture card software. If you aren't using the audio from the controller it should be HDMI audio input, if it's from the controller using the spitter it should be Analog line-in.
