Hi, thank you for this! on the video capture device - do I select Elgato Virtual Camera, Cam Link 4K or OBS Virtual Camera when live streaming to Facebook. I can not make out which of this the mina device. The main camera is EOS M50 and calming 4k USB connected to laptop and camera. So which is the capture device.
Hello so if you have the cam link 4K connected that should be the video capture device you will choose. Let me know if you have any other questions

Hello thanks 🙏. I am glad the Videos are helpful. What cannon camera model you have ? Also any particular reason you need it to be Wireless? One way of doing it is to use an HDMI transmitter assuming your camera has a clean HDMI out.

Our church streams live on Facebook every Sunday via a phone Is it possible to get everything set up in OBS and then saved as a preset so you can just go live without having to setup everything all over again every week. Also, do you have to go live from Facebook every time you want to stream? I'm trying to make out setup as easy as possible. Thanks for the video and the info.
Yes you can set everything up in OBS and OBS will auto save your settings. In Facebook back end make sure you use a persistent Key in that case it stays the same, and if you want to go live without having to go back to Facebook you can try to preschedule your Lives as Events and set to Auto Start, make sure you do some testing to make sure you don’t have any issues. Let me know how it goes.

For mobile streaming you probably need to try a different App. You can either use your phone as a webcam and connect to OBS or simply get App on your phone and run the stream on it. Prism mobile is one app to try

Hi Sam, Just to be clear, I have to be on the fb page to go live? Can I use the “start streaming “ key on obs once everything is in place on fb?
There is no direct integration with FB to go live directly from OBS although you can do it with UA-cam

@@porshsmith14 you have an option to create a reusable key, also facebook interface can be sometimes overwhelming but Public is there somewhere, however by default it is usually on Public

Good question I have been on Facebook forever so I don’t recall what would the time you have to wait be before you go Live. Give it a 24 hours and see. What’s the exact error message you get ?

Yes its possible, you can also stream from a page to a group not from your personal account , you will need to have access though

Yes back in Facebook where you add tittle and description you will see a place to make the Stream Unlisted or Private. By default is on Public

I was not able to change from public to anything. There is a test mode. But I have not tried it yet.

After connecting my obs and filled the description of my stream, My page always going test broadcast? Only me can see the video, I cant find the blue bitton going live. Always test broacast. What seem to be the problem
Right before you connect to OBS , before copying the stream key step you have 2 options 1. Test broadcast 2. Go Live… make sure you choose Go Live
Is there a setting to skip the test broadcast? All my pages upon accomplisihing the details and connecting to obs, it has start test only & no go live blue button just like your video.. I was able to do livestreaming yesterday but today is my problem.. maybe i have clicked something.. Im a new streamer by the way.. thanks for your help

When I click go live Facebook tells me "you cannot go live. Your account needs to have an established presence before you can go live on Facebook."

Hello how can I solve this error "failed to initialize video.Your GPU may not be supported, or your graphics drivers may need to be updated" while opening obs studio.
When you go in settings / what’s your encoder?

now ive done all of the steps , i couldnt go live today because the camera is working good but as soon as i enter live on facebook the live freezes ,you can hear the voice and all but is not moving help meee

Obs is working perfectly, is facebook that is not working, I can tell when I'm streaming ,obs live is completely fine but facebook is frozen, it takes so long to move, but you can hear everything
I've check the stats on obs and it says skipped frames due to encoding lag and the numbers are yellow,I don't know if it has something to do with it
@@matyguillen9 ya that’s definitely one of the issues. If OBS is skipping frames your live stream is likely to lag or even freeze. Could be your computer that’s not powerful enough

What if you are using an Android phone as a camera ?
It’s possible. Use an app called Iriun to connect to OBS wireless or get an HDMI adapter

On Facebook it is just telling me to connect streaming software to go live 😢
Check the stream key and server url
Do you need to copy the stream key and put it on OBS every time you want to go live? And also do you need to log into Facebook in order to go live?
You can use the same key if you don’t change it you won’t need to keep copying… however in order to go live you need to go to Facebook and create a post.. or schedule it ahead of time.
Struggling the most is unclear sound (hoarseness) for me.
Do you use an interface or a USB mic ?
