As the name implies, the Gibson SG Standard '61 Faded Maestro Vibrola also adds vibrato capability. The Maestro Vibrola offers smooth vibrato effects and the classic styling of the Lyre engraving on the tailpiece cover. Standard features include a SlimTaper mahogany neck and a bound rosewood fingerboard. The mahogany body features deeply sculpted body scarfing, a 5-ply teardrop pickguard, and a 22nd-fret neck joint. The nickel-plated hardware includes an ABR-1 Tune-O-Matic bridge and Keystone tuners in addition to the Maestro Vibrola Tailpiece. The pickups are open-coil 60s Burstbucker humbuckers for a classic voice with added power and top end. Controls feature audio taper potentiometers and Orange Drop capacitors.

I’d highly suggest the Epiphone version if you got the itch but can’t shell out for the Gibson. I have one and it has became one of my favorites… This is coming from a guitarist that has did many US tours, countless regional tours and too many local gigs to even think about.
Damn Dagan it's a good thing you don't play that guitar on the highway you would get a speeding ticket, they would give your fingers a ticket for speeding and wreakless playing. I LOVE YOUR PLAYING WHY YOUR NOT TOURING I DON'T UNDERSTAND WITH SKILLS LIKE THAT. GOOD LUCK MY FRIEND.

i like the faded finish but prefer covered pups on an SG. Can pup covers be added easily ?
Therz only 2 guitars you need, this one and another as a spare.
Awesome review when the gitfiddle makes you feel that good, very little talking is required, SELLS ITSELF, (although i did like the maestro part about weight distribution, makes complete sense for an SG.

Man, I'm so having buyers remorse right now.... I just bought an Ibanez Jem Jr. and it has a buzz on the first fret I can't get rid of. Should've bought a Gibson.
Take it to a luthier. Personally I think you can get more bang for buck if you just mod your Jem instead of buying a gibson

Gibson don't buzz on the first fret, they do on the other 21frets....😂

@Samantha-xz6ie Again, take it to a luthier. At most they'll charge you about 30 bucks for a setup. WAYY cheaper than an overpriced gibson
