@@cosmiccottagearcade I have one on order but with so many other pins being released I’m wondering if I should switch to something else. Do you still own & enjoy this game? What are your thoughts on it overall?
@@1StepTooFar Hey, I do still own this machine. In all honesty I do find myself playing my newer Sterns more than Oktoberfest. I still think Oktoberfest is a great game. The build quality is better than Stern. The one thing I wish Oktoberfest had in it was a setting that would randomly select the modes for you to play, which would force you to play more of the modes. I tend to pick the same steins and modes every time I play the game, as that path tends to get me higher scores. The game by default gives out a lot of extra balls, so games can be very long. I actually just recently turned all of the extra balls off. I think that's part of the reason I wasn't playing it so much lately. All that being said, I don't plan on getting rid of the game any time soon. I have a Hot Wheels also, and I've grown slightly bored with that in just a year. So I guess if someone said I could choose any game, right now, I would maybe choose a newer Stern (either Godzilla or Rush). But wait times with new Stern games can be SO long sometimes. I guess it depends on how soon you're looking for a new games. The re-sale market is definitely much better with Sterns than Oktoberfest. I know that's a lot of different information, but hope it helped somewhat. Let me know if you have more questions about the game, I'd be happy to help.
Thanks so much! I'm running code version 20.1.21B. I don't think it's currently available for download. I was able to get it from American Pinball because I was having serious issues with the membrane switches that control the locks on the beer barrel. Luckily this code update fixed it for me, but it's still the beta code. I would have thought by now that it would be available to the public, but with everything going on with Covid, and with Hot Wheels being released, I'm guessing that must be why it's taking a bit longer.
@@cosmiccottagearcade OK about the code... and i know (...) as i'm in touch with Joe ;) ... can i ask you who you are (more than a good player for sure) ?
Well shot! Nice play.
Thanks so much!
