2:13, As a retired Machinist, I know the long hours and hard work that goes into making those tracks!!! A job like that is best done on some type of CNC milling machine, that most guys can't afford. I miss some of the guys I worked with, and the days of being able to make parts either during my lunch break, or after my shift ended. During 2nd shift, if a machine wasn't setup with a job in progress; it could be used for what we used to call, "Government Work"!!!!!!!!!! Loi
All these R/C tank models are incredible, but the strv-103 ("S"-tank) is a uniquely outstanding R/C tank model, with an actual gas turbine power plant, adjustable height suspension, & spent shell casing ejector, all like the full scale tank! Amazing craftsmanship of the builder of the R/C "S"-tank, & of the builders of all the other superb R/C tank models in the video!

8:07, This must be the day that You, and Martin had a ride in this tank. What a wonderful event, and the people who operate the Museum are a great bunch of people who roll out the Red Carpet for the RC Tank builders. Cheers from the USA!!!!!!!!!!!
2:53, OMG!!! the center pieces look to have been stamped out with a die in a punch press. This is very fine and detailed work at a higher level that most of us can produce. Yes, 3D Printers are doing amazing things, but they're not as durable as this set of tracks.
0:47, My Dad was in the US Army in the late 1950's. He was a mechanic in Spearhead 3. He told me stories about the M48's getting bogged down in the mud because they had fenders something like the M41. The tank could drive a short distance, and then the mud became so packed above the tracks it would stall the engine, Then the crew had to get out and dig out the mud only to drive another short distance. I'm not sure, but I'll bet his Company removed the fenders as did most American tanks in WW-II.
@@CalebChoi-b1x If you dont have a workshop to build in, but have access to a 3D-printer, you can buy or download files for free and make you own large scale rc tank for a fraction of the cost of buying one. 🙂 Check out @hagbergscorners KV-2 in the video, for example, that's an upscaled 1/10 model.
I love how those run! hey, I was hoping if i could ask for your help in finding out the size specs of the P40 italian heavy tank, I know this is a random comment but I know you've been able to decipher blueprints before and could be a masive help to my first scratch build, anywho if you read this thank you, and you don't have to do anything but be awesome!
Hi, thanks for watching! I found this: www.the-blueprints.com/blueprints-depot-restricted/tanks/tanks-c/carro_armato_p40-64193.jpg It should give you a good start to scale these picture to the size you prefer.
