Big tip for posing that I like to use if I'm unsure about a pose. Take a picture of yourself doing the pose and base the figure off the movement that your body does. Basically using a human reference for an action figure lol.
6:24 The web patterns are misaligned because MAFEX flipped the shoulders. In the incorrect positions, the web patterns also don't line up with the upper torso. They're too high on the front. 7:20 And too low on the back. They got it right on the first release of this body. But every release of this body after has this error; 108 Comic Paint, 075 Reissue, and 190 Web-Man.
I was afraid the blues on this spidey were going to be as bright as the blues on Web Man, but thankfully it appears that's not the case and I can't wait to get him! I still think the Sentinel ITSV Peter B figure will remain my all time favorite Spidey figure overall, though.
I got mine on Monday. I'm like you, I have a love/hate for Mafex. Great poseability, but the hands and feet seem too small for the bodies. I also love the colors of this one.
Sentinel one is better, but it’s too specific and stylized to the Spider-verse Peter B that it personally looks a little jarring next to regular marvel legends, not to mention it’s hard for me to look at it and think of a 616 peter.
i gotta say, i've heard you mention in many videos about not being very good with posing, but as someone who feels confident in their posing skills, i honestly think you did a great job with those dynamic poses and think you gotta stop underselling yourself! the hardest poses are honestly neutral standing poses, imbuing character and attitude into a static pose through micro adjustments can be hard, but with time and confidence in your ability, you'll get better. gotta stop putting yourself down with it brudda, you pulled those dynamic poses off really well!
@@MCUcollector24 of course man. I've learned the art of hitting the nuances of good posing comes from understanding what YOU are trying to do. it's gotta be purposeful, knowing what you're moving and why you feel it should be moved whether for attitude, counterbalance, gravity, etc. we all know what makes a pose look natural subconsciously, just gotta think about why you're doing what you're doing and it'll get easy and your confidence will build. love the videos man, def jealous of the position you're in
My symbiote Spider-Man’s arm broke at the elbow than the actual joint just shattered into pieces. I’m currently waiting on a replacement from BBTS but definitely agree with you that with the cost of these figures there shouldn’t be any type of these QC issues. I’m just hoping that the next one doesn’t have any issues as I don’t want BBTS to think I’m just being negligent with the figure and it’s me causing them to break.
I had to pay extra $30 for a leg replacement for Symbiote Spider-Man. It kept falling off, so I asked for a tighter leg. I mean, seriously, I really want this classic Spidey so bad, but the potential QC puts me off from wanting to buy it.
You can pop the Symbiote head off the neck and use it on this release minus the rising goop haha. And I couldn't part with my original release. Sooooo building up the Mafex verse of Spidey figures is my jam... although I did skip Ben Reilly. But this lighter blue is PERFECT! Crazy part is the Amazing Friends 3 pack came in the other day too so I'm playing with both Spiders... Both are top notch to me. Solid review man.
I love it, but I agree with you MCU. I love my MAFEX but I get hesitant to randomly mess around with ones that I have displayed. Things popping off or breaking is always on my mind. Hell, my SHF Deadpool fell and a week later I realized his swords popped off and I ended up finding them a few days ago.

@@MCUcollector24 yae but mafex tho my brother said i should get mafex and i went on big bad toy store and i found out spiderman is cheaper than scarlet so im tryna see which one has mroe details to ityk
I can't unsee that camel toe. Other than that, I love the look of this entire figure's colors, and I'm tempted to get it, but the Marvel Legends cel shaded Animated Spiderman is pretty darn good, it can actually do crouching poses better than Mafex, believe it or not. I should stay strong and just wait for Mezco's upcoming classic Ditko Spider-Man.
Absolutely LOVE the bright blue, matte paint and sculpted web-lines. - DO NOT LIKE Mafex's excessively large butterfly joints, gaping diaphragm cut or diaper-look. Also I think the weblines are far too 'tight' on the head sculpts and should be wider and less 'busy'. The spider logo has always annoyed me with this figure too - it just looks like a fuzzy dollop of black paint. Surely they could've made it look slightly larger and more distinct??
Looks a lot better. Not difficult really, but it’s just a matter of taking the time to pop the joints back in. Sometimes they are stubborn. I have pictures on Instagram

The Mafex Spider Man figure is so Cool and incredible

Because it’s not an error. That’s how Mafex intended it, even though the “incorrect” version from the first release (n.075) looks better
You can just flip them right?
Yes, I did it. Looks way better

sentinel peter as your favorite is so valid I absolutely adore that figure

The sentinel one Is way more articulated and doesn't fall apart ever ... but I still order this one
The spider verse peter b parker version?

GOAT figure, one of my top figures of 2022, can't wait for my mafex figure to arrive

I really like bright colors.
Wish they could've included an unmasked head. The arm design is really kindve an artist interpretation.
I really want to get this but the Reissue and Symbiote suit looks good, I really am contemplating about picking which.

Is there any way to tell if it’s a bootleg??? Cause I just want to make sure mine won’t be
If the paint is very poor, it falls apart VERY easily and u got it for under $40 then its a bootleg.
Thank you for all that info on Mafex! I preorder my first Mafex DC the Huntress cuz that one my favorites from the Bat l family.
Use the neck from Ben Riley and the head from black suit for unmasked
4:48 AGREED! My limbs keep popping off...ANNOYING!!!!
Mine is on the way from BBTS. Cannot wait for it to arrive!
Yeah the retro walmart ex is this type of blue n red
Great review! Waiting for mine to arrive from AmiAmi and to pose him.
Nice figure but man I'm bored of this figure mold, they should start bringing out a better design. Think I'll stick with sentinel spidy
4:22 TOTALLY AGREE!
The perfect Spider-Man Blue bright light blue like John Romita Drew it. Not a fan of the dark blue on Spider-Man
I hope the arms is strong cause I tried to pose my ml symbiote and i accidentally broke the pegs
Marvel Legends is releasing a classic blue in the retro line.
Nothing a fine tip brush and some black paint with a steady hand can’t fix👍🏽
Where did you buy bro?
Is the crotch piece soft?
The 075 had a hard plastic one, Ben Reilly has a softer one that helps a lot when posing the legs.
I hope you can get sentinel’s spider-man peter b parker. I think it’s better than mafex’s Spider-Man
Marvel Legends new Spider-verse wave photos leaked have you seen it?
@@OxtlawX yeah, In my honest opinion they don’t look good, at least on the leaks. I hope in hand they are decent

How much does it cost?
Great review bro
So im buying mafex spidermans so should i get mafex spiderman or mafex scarlet spider?
Spider-Man. The new marvel legends scarlet spider is a much cheaper option.

How's the plastic compare to ben reilly or symbiote? Is it the same quality
Same
Guys can you tell me how much is this guy?
He said he paid around $80.
I want to get into this mafex line. What’s the easiest way to get these online? Thank you for your help! Nice poses btw they look awesome!
Preorder when they first become available. Use sites like amiami or hobby link Japan. BBTS is too high priced in my opinion
@@MCUcollector24 thank you for your help!
I'm sorry you sold away the mattalic blue version.
Where can you pick up the Web-Man?
Places like amiami and hobby link japan. Not sure if it’s readily available or not
BBTS is taking way too long
🔥🔥🔥

Your experiences with itch DHL differ greatly from mine. Completely slow, garbage company from my experience.

Web lines appear very poorly painted
Hey Bryant 👋, Mafex does make good looking figures. I just can't bring myself to pay that price point for them though.
I don’t blame you, it’s a lot for one figure
you shoulders are swapped
I’ve fixed them
@@MCUcollector24 was it hard to do!? Does it look better?
