I love your endless commitment to yourself! I had a thought - what if we did a 7 day challenge together as an online community? E.g. a guided 7 day shadow journalling challenge? 💛

    Shadow journaling
    - give your lower self a voice
    - don't repress your difficult emotions or they will pop up more often
    Off brand challenges
    - doing sth slightly out the norm for a few days
    -Become comfortable with uncomfortable feelings
Every action is a vote for the person you want to become
    Sit with your feelings
    Gratitude rants
    Note taking
    -contextualise and apply
    - understand how to use the information in your life

I really think shadow journaling sounds super interesting but I just don't understand what she means with "your lower self"

I would love to see an in-depth video about Off-Brand Challenges! Do you do one every week? Do you journal about the process throughout and afterward? Are there particular challenges where you've kept the habit in your daily routine? I'm fascinated by this idea!

I've never heard of shadow journaling, but I am excited to look into it and learn more. I struggle with suppressing my emotions and often feel too much all at once after trying to keep it all hidden. I would love to be able to work through that. Thanks for sharing all of these tips!

Notion changed my life! I tried journaling with pen and paper but the connection between my mind and my
Pen took too long and I always got tried/bored of writing down my feelings. Now I feel so much clearer and able to take on today tanks! :)

My tendency when journaling is to try and get all the negative thoughts written down. This is definitely good sometimes but I don’t know that it should always be my default… so tonight I tried a gratitude rant and actually loved it! I’m definitely going to try this more often, thanks for the suggestion! 🥰❤️

    Hi, Michelle!
Really like your message in this video but I couldn't help but notice, that those pop-up phrases in the center tend to distract me more than draw attention and I lose the thought I was following. Please consider maybe reducing the quantity. Thank you again for the video!

I really want to say thank you for this video. Your videos have helped me so much, but this one probably the most. Especially the part with sitting with hard and difficult feelings helped me a lot today, as I was comfortable on the train after almost 2 years of feeling all anxious. I probably did this exercise 3 times in the one hour ride, but it just felt a lot better after every time. So, thank you so much for your content!❤️

I use the app Obsidian. Linking thinking. This app changed my life in such a positive way. Mindchanging and deep insight. Such a powerfull tool.
On the beginning difficult to learn like an Instrument but afterwards so powerfull.
Every thought is digital connected and high searchability.
    A second brain.

That new journaling method seems so interesting and as someone who struggles to step out of their comfort zone, I've managed to take smaller steps toward that. I feel like I fizzle often in social situations or with fears that other people don't seem to share. It's troubling and anxiety-inducing but I must take things one step at a time. Thank you for such a thought-provoking video.

was listening to a podcast that said, “it’s important to live life by design rather than emotion. Basically, sticking to a routine is what allows us to be the healthiest version of ourselves (especially when you're fighting these demons ex. OCD for me).
I’ve had to overhaul how I approach taking care of my brain (exercise, journaling, studying etc) by practising mediocre consistency. Now I try to put in consistent 50-60% effort into my journaling habit - to make sure I do it I began recording it and posting it on YT. After a really bad depression phase I started to believe I couldn’t change and I’d feel that horrible forever.
Historically I have a habit of going too hard, not being able to sustain the Herculean effort, giving up and hating myself. So now I’m trying to give a small, consistent mediocre effort everyday. And its crazy how it adds up.

This video ties in perfectly with the book I am reading now, 'the mountain is you'. I have wanted to start shadow journalling for a while but I am incredibly good at procrastination it, because I don't really want to feel my feelings. I will try a 7 Day challenge tomorrow ☺️

as scary as it sounds, i think i'll give shadow journaling a try 😖taking notes when reading seems like an obvious thing... still, i don't do that in a "personal" way so i'll be adding that to my routine as well.

I would love to see how you contextualize your notes! Sounds like a very interesting approach... I've been planning on starting a wisdom journal, where I would put notes that I take from books I read or from videos that I watch (like yours, for example), but maybe knowing how to contextualize them would have an even Better impact

GIRL, you need to get out of your mind, or out of UA-cam and have a completely different life. Go the total opposite and that would make you feel more alive, trust me. This is insane, just living with three colors in your life is not cool. Life is in constant change, constant colors, different personalities, different stuff. Are you really alive or is it just your brain?
