This is an interesting subject but frustratingly badly shot and executed. No one cares if the vanity is original. The person wielding the camera has no idea what they’re doing. The whole point is to tour the boat yet there are no wide shots and nothing to put the tour in perspective. Why didn’t you simply follow him from room to room and then have him step out of the way to shoot the room? The only wide shot of the salon immediately zooms into a picture of Natalie - we don’t need to see another picture of her - we’re interested in the salon. How do you access Natalie’s stateroom from salon? One of the big holes in Wagner’s story is that he claims he was in salon and later discovered Natalie missing - show us if she could have left her stateroom without people in salon looking down and noticing her coming out on stern deck. Was this just an amateur video or supposedly professional? Sorry to be so critical but it’s frustrating!
    the vanity

This is absolutely fascinating to see the detail and true scale of this wonderful yacht steeped in Hollywood history. I think its current keeper and Natalie Wood fan, Ron Nelson has done a terrific job in maintaining her and keeping everything still in all its original condition. The irony to Ron's diligent attention to detail and care of Splendour is that there could be just one clue that might answer a thousand questions of what really happened that fateful night.

Even before this happened Wagner seemed like a sociopath to me, something always seemed not quite right about him, it always seemed like his entire personality was an act, either he was responsible for her death by directly causing it or by indirectly causing it by not helping her, I think at some point he walked away knowing she would drown, he insisted on waiting for her to be reported missing, he knew, I think he was waiting it out to make sure she was gone, making sure she could not talk and tell anyone what he had done, I think he physically abused her before she went in the water, the boat captain said he heard a couple of thumps on the boat after he heard them arguing.

    • @Luna_and_Miles

I agree. But I think if Wagner had not been drunk as a skunk on this night, he might have gone to check on Natalie, or prevent anything bad from happening to her, but he WAS very drunk - reliable source say he had been drinking heavily all day, on into the late night, so he was not thinking clearly, and Walken was either afraid for his own life, or was just an unfeeling coward, retreating to his room, where surely he had to have known Natalie was in some danger. The Captain, same thing. I think they both feared for their own lives because Wagner that night was a drunk unpredictable beast. Of course Wagner "waited" for hours before calling the police - and called his LAWYER before anyone else - because he knew he had done something bad, and that Natalie would either surface as seriously injured, or that she had died, and he wanted to cover his ass. He brainwashed his daughters to think he was a good guy. They needed their Dad, having lost their mother, so they believed him, and still do to this day, that he is innocent of all wrong doing. He is no doubt a sociopath - they are expert at fooling people into thinking they are good people when they are not.

An even clearer indication was the fact that she was not wearing a bracelet. Natalie was famous for wearing her "magic bracelet," which covered up her deformed left wrist. OceanSound100 she wasn’t drunk 🥴 at all. Wagner killed her in a jealous rage. He was afraid of her divorcing his ass a second time - for he is or was a homosexual/bisexual- he had a thing with his butler- was found by Natalie having oral sex with his butler that led to her divorcing Wagner once before. She wasn’t drunk. She wasn’t a drunk. Wagner was a hard drinker , and through his jealous drunken rage he killed her for she’d had enough. The night before, she left the splendour with the skipper, to sleep at a hotel on Catalina island 🌴 to get away from RJ. HE WAS DETERMINED TO NOT LET HER GET AWAY A SECOND NIGHT OR TIME (marriage)

Yes. Murder is murder no matter how you slice it. It's good that he provided counseling for the girls following this horrendous event. But Natalie is gone FOREVER. Jill St. John is a poor "replacement." I guess if she thought she was marrying someone divine it reveals her true character. Evidently at this point with the info they have, the most they could charge him with is manslaughter but the statute of limitations is up. It would have to be a charge of murder. Right now in this case it's not up to that level. However, he is akin O.J. Simpson...a paraih in this country. I don't for one minute believe she went to tie that dinghy.

This craft is not what one might consider to be a “large” vessel/yacht/watercraft/ship or boat. Thereby, all rooms would be in very close vicinity to one another; the walls thin & not soundproof; and water, as we all know, magnifies sound across its surface for longer distances & a much louder volume than if on land. Keeping all this in mind, it wouldn’t take a 🚀 rocket scientist long to grasp an understand that anyone aboard the “Splendour” the evening of Ms Woods death (homicide) would had to have been either deaf, unconscious, or deceased not to have heard every word of the loud confrontational conversation/argument, physical scuffle/fight, or any other obnoxious argumentative & explosive talk taking place on the boat that night! There are a total of four individuals who have complete awareness of the answers to the “4-W” questions: what, when, where and the ‘WHO DONE IT’ pertaining to Natalie’s demise. However, it’s been six-plus ears since this rehashing of overlooked evidence in the “1981” Natalie Wood death case, this being the year 2018, and the fact that no one has been found guilty & incarcerated for her death, there is absolutely no reason to discuss this matter any further! . . . Rest in peace dear, sweet and innocent Natalie knowing that we, in the world 🌎 you left behind, still miss you, think of you, and continue to appreciate the talent and achievements you accomplished during the short amount of time you walked among us!

Right, I agree. Dennis more then likely lied when he said he turned the music up so his boss would not think he was listening. Do you really think at that time of the morning that your going to turn your music up on your bosses boat and annoy him with it at that time they were supposedly going to bed. They both probably came up with the story as to what he heard in actual words he would have heard long before going to their door to see if everything was okay. He should have been questioned about that. Why would you purposely turn a blind eye/ear to beatings. He should have called the police, but no no it is his boss and he would lose his job. He would have heard her being thrown around the room with all the bruises she had 25 or something like that. Of course a few could have come from when he probably pushed her and might have banged herself up some. But water would not bruise you unless she hit something on the way down if he pushed her over the door to the grate below.

That confirms Natalie was not alone at the back of the boat and that male voice had to be Wagner’s! The captain was at the front with the music playing and Walken was in his room. And Wagner was the only one so pissed at her! (They thought she had retired in her state room) Natalie went into hysterics, and threatened to blow the whistle on Wagner and Walken, destroying their careers. Wagner silenced her for good, by throwing her overboard. The only jealousy, was that Wagner wanted Walken all to himself that night. The death of Natalie was an homicide by Wagner ,,no other option,, he was jalious cause she was having to much fun with her friend,, he got mad broke a bottle of wine on the table ( that's how mad he was ) followed her on the deck and killed her and put her in the dingki ,,afterwards when the Captain wanted to use the search light cause he could not find her, , Wagner said NO ,,when the Captain said we should call the restaurant , Wagner said NO ! Do you need any more Proof ?????? Wagner was making sure that he could hide the killing . And lied for the rest of his life

They probably had illegal drugs on the boat, for consumption, and could not afford to get boarded by Coast Guard? Even being seen as drunk as they were, might deter from calling for help, especially if you weren't sure you needed help. I do struggle with breaking wine bottles.. that is some seriously heavy glass, and would certainly change the mood for all involved.

The case was highlighted on Dr. Phil just recently. One fact that the press twisted was that the man who handled the boat was the "captain". On Dr. Phil the man, Dennis Davern, maintains very specifically that he was not the captain, RJ was the captain, Dennis was only a deckhand. When RJ announced that Natalie was missing, Dennis searched the boat for her. The boat was to small for her to be missing on it. RJ demanded that Dennis do nothing. Dennis told Dr. Phil that at that point, he began to fear for his own safety because he did not know what had happened to Natalie or whether he might be next. Christopher Walken was asleep in his suite when Natalie went over. But, he was in the salon with them when RJ started the arguement concerning the affair. Christopher has since declared that he feels Robert murdered Natalie. Lana mentioned that Natalie 1st left RJ years ago because she caught him in a homosexual affair with their butler and that night on the boat, she caught him making advances towards Walken. Walken and Natalie had just finished their parts in the movie "Brainstorm" and were taking a break. RJ accused Walken and Natalie of having an affair. Maybe RJ was jealous that Christopher was straight.

My gut feeling is that he is not being straight forward with the history of the boat and most likely he is exploiting it for fame and perhaps an income. If the case is still open, shouldn't it be in the hands of the California sheriffs department?

He needed those few hours before calling for help to clean up and think of what to say. Turns out he didn't need to make up a story at all. The police were not interested in even questioning if it was an accident or not. They believed the two liars.

She might have gone to get on the dinghy to escape. Could have first slipped and fell, unconscious. Wagner put her into the dinghy and pushed it away. That's why he didn't want the search light put on. She came to and fell out of dinghy and it was too hard to climb back in. She had floated too far away to be heard. What a terrible waste of her life, the great Natalie Wood.!!
