Yeah they’re totally worth checking out.
Learning different engines is actually useful so you get to know how other engines work and see the pattern. So once the engine you use is no longer supported or you are required to use another engine, the switch will be vey smooth.

Just to clear things up, flax is not open source, it's source available, and accepts contributions from the community.

@@obalfaqih Ah, no that's not actually the case. The docs say the project is open, which means open to contributions, but it's not open source. Open source would mean you can fork it and do whatever you want with it without having to pay for it, which is not the case.

@@mr.cobalt6695 maybe you lack the skill to comprehensively read but to quote the docs on the very page that is linked in the comment you answered to under the title that says "open source" in big bold letters: "The main repository Flax Engine contains full source code of the Flax Engine and Flax Editor with all tools and platforms. You can fork it and edit whatever you need."
