Sriracha has reached cult like status and for good reason. It’s delicious. We thought we’d throw our hat in the ring and see if we could make our own. And in The Happy Pear fashion we want to try make it faster than normal. We put a traditional recipe against a 5 minute sriracha recipe to see which wins!
All the best,
Dave & Steve.

Love this... and it might be a strange thing to notice but I love that you guys aren't weird about sharing tasting spoons lol 🤘🤗
Right? I noticed that too.
I am very fond of Dave & Steve but. I. Hate. Them. Sharon’s. Spoons. I think it it is Shameful & Disgusting . When. There are Constantly over 1,000 People. Still in hospital. With. COVID. . .. . I think it is shameful that that Sartre food & spoons. In the Interest if Health & Safety they should. Have. Their own food &. cutlery . But I love their. Recipes. I Like. Them as well. But. Some. Good. Manners. Would not go astray.;
From. IRELAND. Just like them. 🥰🥰☘️☘️☘️☘️☘️🥰🥰
Love your recipes ❤
Huaah we were talking about how we could make homemade sriracha literally a couple days ago (as we were discussing the omnipresent plastic issue) 😀
The first to watch you guys!!! Lovely video! Thanks :)

Wahoo brilliant stuff :)
All sharing and licking he same spoons , pure class on this channel, the health department will have a field day closing down your kitchen.
Will try. No weird chemicals is a big boon.

How long does the 5min sauce keep in the fridge?
how long does the homemade Sriracha last ? And could you use maple syrup or is sugar of choice the best option?
thinj they used coconut sugar
the fermneted one would last for ages in the fridge
Help me out please - I'm a bit confused. You add 50 ml vinegar to half a jar of sauce (fermented) and 65 ml to a full jar of sauce (not fermented). Isn't it obvious that the fermented version would taste more vinegar-y? And can you really compare the two versions then? Asking because I want to try and make the 5 day sriracha sauce, but am a little unsure of how much vinegar to add.
Hi. . If there is MSGin The Orugional. Would. It not have to be written. On the list of ingredients by Law If not by the Country of origin , but by Irish Law it. It would have to have the List of Ingredients written on the Bottle including the MSG. By Irish Law.
Please advise me ….."…..Thank You . . From. Ireland. 🥰🥰☘️☘️☘️☘️☘️🥰🥰
What thickening agent are you guys using? Thanks!
Arrowroot
How long would your 5 minute sauce last for in a fridge?
2 weeks anyway thanks
It's a fecking ecrasite, my chill must have been pretty strong, but I like it :D
Thanks
Would fermented be healthier tho?
It tastes a little softer and might have slightly more bacteria in it but it’s pretty
Minimal
Awesome vid and subject, Gents! (I winced a bit when the three of you all shared spoons though.) 👍
What kind of chilies? I don't understand "not very hot" I have jalapeño, bird's-eye (very hot for me) jalapeño, red jalapeño and various dried ones.
Lorrie in Ireland the majority of chillies stocked in supermarkets are serano or cayenne chillies or similar
These are probably Serrano seeing as they say not very hot. 10-23k on the Scoville scale. About x3-5 times spicier than Jalapeño
Lorrie, 😂 I always wonder the same thing.
How long does it stay fresh?
2 weeks in the fridge
How long would it last after making?
About 2 weeks
@@thehappypear thanks 🙂
Why leave the green bit on?
It normally helps with the fermentation process
Ah, ok, thanks! 😁
Not sure if this was said, but how long does your siracha last in the fridge?
2 weeks at least and still delish!
yum yum tum msg!
wahoo :)
Was that brown sugar?
It was coconut sugar
@@ciaramurray2168 That's right coconut sugar :)
Sparkling water for "bubbles", makes no sense to me xD
Thai people are innovators. and arrogant, refusing to imitate any product or anyone.
But what is remarkable is that they are skilled at seasoning all kinds of food. Therefore, it is not surprising that visiting guests of all nationalities are satisfied with the food prepared and sold in Thailand.
Let it be known the actual owner of Sriracha sauce has never disclosed the production recipe to anyone. So keep in mind that the true taste of the origin Sriracha Sauce is so far better and more acceptable than all counterfeit sauces.
It was very pity that the plagiarists were praised. Why don't we consider some trade etiquette even though the original product owner still doesn't yet register the copyright of the product name? This is the oppression of poor producers. It is an example that should not be glorified at all.
Next stop: Cholula.
I don't think '5 minutes' was the answer they were hoping for.
Correct!! We thought the fermentation process would bring a lot more 👍🏼😄🙌🏼
@@thehappypear So did I!
okay so....just bought a new brand of sriracha yesterday lol
Enjoy
hello dudes
