Inspired by "Outsider" by Nothing, Nowhere.
It's often forgotten how hard Hiccup's upbringing was because of how "well" he ended out but for the first 15 years of his life he experienced nothing but alienation, a distant father & peers who treated him like a freak.
It's one of the aspects that made the first movie so impactful.
I made this edit in an attempt to showcase the hardships he went through during his childhood.

This is such a sweet EMV. Toothless and Hiccup were outsiders together, and together they fit in. After Hiccup met Toothless, he became Chief. After Toothless met Hiccup, he became the Alpha.

I never saw their relationship as "fixing" one another, it felt more like Hiccup found himself with Toothless (and dragons in general) more than he did with humans. A beautiful message in my opinion.

It was more a reference to the fix of Toothless' tail. A physical fix that is more apparent in the movie but not the most significant one. I'd say, finding yourself is a way of fixing oneself because you finally discover who you are and don't have to feel broken anymore.

Each movie I felt a connection the first yes hiccup being chast out the second one is the most saddest bc he lost a family member and the third one was he had to make a hard choice to rather keep putting his best friend in danger or to let him go and keep them safe

The reason I love this movie so much is because I can relate so much to Hiccup growing up. When I got my bearded dragon I named her Toothless and little did I know that Toothless would fix me. It’s was in that first month I had her I slowly started making friends because everyone thought she was so cool and even though I don’t have those friends I still have her and it’s not the people that don’t want you that count it’s the ones that do that really matter. But as that helped me get out of that shell I slowly met better people as the years progressed and now I’ve found two best friends Toothless my beardie and my Best friend Tyler who I wouldn’t trade for anyone in the world… life has a strange way of shifting us into the people we need to be and it’s a beautiful mess of a change.
