Hey JR, Interesing you mention the fire blanket i just picked up a 2 pack just in case.Just an aside we might see a pandemic 2.0 with the bird flu.Real or not real stock up on eggs if you can.BTW I was watching video today and this person said his daughter went buy some eggs and they were all out because the farmer had to kill lots of chickens because of the Bird Flu. JR, maybe you can make a video on this subject
We just had 2 Bigfoot hunters here in Washington die from exposure. They got lost. Had no cold weather gear and no fire starting gear. So prep for the weather.
Thank you JR. Your channel helped inspire me start prepping more seriously & start my own prepper channel too. You’re an inspiration to a lot of people. Have a safe & prosperous 2025
It surprises me every time someone mentions Lehman's because it's only an hour from me, and I love going to their store! It's hard for me to imagine that a tiny town's hardware store is so popular.
Thank you. 2:38 We will be needing everything. The polar vortex is coming. Heads up . Long John's are good. Now a day's they are called base layer. Love your videos. Thank you.
.Some people in the UK still call them Long Johns or Thermal underwear. I wear them myself. My son in law wears them under his PJs as our central heating and insulation in winter is terrible as we live in social housing.
JR you are an amazing young man!! I love how you explain everything, offer great advice, and tell us what's the best products to have. Because of you, I feel very good about the prep items I have. Happy New Years EVERYONE!!!! May God richly bless you and your family in 2025!!!! 🙏❤️🙏❤️🙏❤️
Thanks JR And Thanks for listing the individual items down below, the extra effort helps a lot! Happy New Year to you and your family Brother! Please keep this kind of content coming !
JR, we both think on the same line. The difference is you have been putting it out there for all to see and learn. I spent 47 years keeping kids (Scouts) safe as a trainer and educator. From Den leader, to Cub Master to Commissioner staff in the northern end of DFW. As you have seen it positive information only. In Texas I have had the opportunity to first hand meet and talk to many folks and we all have had good things to say and think about. Keep up the good work and we will see more of your videos in 2025.
Can you do a redo video for the upcoming “winter vortex” about prepping the house. How to turn off sprinkler system, using harbor freight moving blankets on the windows and so on. I know my gas/solar generator works (since it got a 6 day workout from hurricane Beryl). I’m trying to make sure I’m not forgetting anything before the weather turns. Thanks
Are you on my newsletter? I may send out an email with links to a few of my better winter prep videos. I may not be able to get a new video out fast enough.
Hi, J.R.! Hope you had a fine Christmas! Looks like I have my preps fairly well covered, but I *always* welcome your videos. I quite often learn something, or remember an item I'd forgotten. HAPPY NEW YEAR, my friend!!
I just bought the three layers of Marine Corps cold weather system. I need a fire extinguisher, keep planning on getting a few.... but i also keep forgetting😢.
Don't skimp on the extinguishers get a bigger industrial sized unit don't pansy about with the big box store aerosol sized ones ..... saved our house last winter with a 3 litre afff (foam) extinguisher from a electrical fire in a bedroom (power off first) was so effective even after I damped down it was still showing green on the gauge and unlike drychem powder the clean up was much easier
Most of those Klein screwdrivers are made overseas now They all used to be made in the US now you have to look at the packaging for the US flag Still running my delta 2 Max don’t have the $$ to upgrade the 3 as of yet idk when I will Stay real man, everyone is going AI these days It’s not real hearing the same 2-3 voices on everyone’s channels Your a good guy to your family God bless your family and I appreciate your hard work ✌️🇺🇸
Would it be possible to melt butter or cheese for canning in the wax melt pot? It has to be warm enough to melt the solid so that you can pour the butter or cheese into the canning jar for processing.
Just a "heads up": A few months ago I was shocked to discover that my beloved Leatherman has actually been illegal in my country since May. No one-handed blades allowed. I have quietly (and reluctantly) removed it from my daily carry. Do I think the law has merit? Not when it comes to my multi-tool. I mean, seriously??! But I concede . Keep up on new weapons legislation, people. This sort of thing is not going to make the evening news. And one-handed? Maybe some of you can operate a Leatherman that way, but I certainly can't.
Yes, I've heard they are a big improvement, especially when it comes to durability. I need to get some of those to show on the channel. Thanks for watching!

We just had 2 Bigfoot hunters here in Washington die from exposure. They got lost. Had no cold weather gear and no fire starting gear. So prep for the weather.
I just saw that. Really sad. Winter preps are really easy but are overlooked way too much.
Really sad news, especially since it would have been to easily preventable
And then some dirtbags stole all of the equipment that was left at their base in town while they were out searching. 😮
Evening J.R., good information. With fatalities from winter on the upswing, any information to help people get through the cold is a blessing.
Thank you Eric! I may send another newsletter with some of my winter prep videos soon.

Merino Wool base layer. You'll thank me later. Served me well in the mountains of Afghanistan.

You can use a clean, new, unused toilet plunger with tiny holes drilled in it instead of the Lehman's laundry plunger.
Thank you, JR. Happy New Year to you and your family.
Thank you Emily!
JR ! You have excellent updates on your survival series! I pick up more new survival information from your series than other series ! Lone Bear !
Thank you David! I really appreciate that!

Thank you JR for another great video. A very good overview of preps.
Thank you!
I got a fire blanket from goodwill for $3 new at goodwill! 🎉
Great score! 😎👍
My most recent Jackery is a 2000v2. I *LOVE* it!!
Jackery has definitely stepped up their game. That 2000 plus I reviewed earlier this year really impressed me.

Great job
Another on point video.
Thank you Tom!
Fire extinguisher dust will get in your ac/heat duct system and make a huge dust problem.

Hi JR what battery charger do you recommend for AA and AAA? Thank you for your helpful content. I listen while at work daily.
I purchased 2 zero degree sleeping bags, a couple of tents, and heating lamps.
PS..Texas here. Prepping for another Texas blackout
Thanks for watching Traci!
"I said shipments" made me LOL

Yeah, gotta keep an eye on laws. That's one thing I love about living in Texas. We have a lot of freedom when it comes to those sorts of things.
Waterbrick is ok, I like the Aquabrick design better.
