I love how others think they are the authority on how to set up YOUR room. I am sure if you had something wrong the district/your admin would have told you to change it. People just feel like they can say whatever they want. I am sorry people were rude to you. I love your set up and I am glad you're loving your 5th graders so far! :)
YOU ARE AMAZING! I hate that you must explain yourself. You're doing what you were HIRED and went to school to do. I'm also a first year teacher. I'm a fourth grade teacher in IL. We are fully remote for six weeks. I am so happy that you have been safe and you're healthy. Keep going, girl. And please don't get burnt out.
