arlong’s power is kinda like level 20 while Garp is already level 500+. His grandpa is one of the most OP characters in One Piece. Considering Garp is always a rival of Roger.
You don't have to wait. That's the benefit of a long-running IP. :) Also, while very good, the live action is not a substitute to the actual manga/anime. It only covers the barebones of the story.
People new to the series "Garp is not taking it easy on him any more" People caught up to the series "This is the least effort Garp could physically put in"
Fun fact: in a recent interview Steven Maeda (the showrunner) said that in the cast off ceremony scene it was the editor's idea to show the strawhat crew as kids lip syncing their adult counterparts speaking their dreams and it wasn't even on the script. It's such a brilliant touch in my opinion.
To answer your question about Mihawk and Shanks without spoiling anything: Yes, Shanks could go toe-to-toe with him. It's implied they used to duel for fun back in the day.
As a chef, Sanji believes his hands have no place in a fight, only for cooking and ladies. It's why Tazz Skyler became a black belt in Capoeira and Kickboxing to truly embody Sanji's fighting style, which he learned from Zeff, called Red Leg style, but Sanji calls his Black Leg style to make it his own
Im sayin dude, people forget that this show opened with Garp executing the actual KING OF THE PIRATES. and he throws a cannonball with his bare hands at Luffy earlier in the series too. manz a beast.
Zoro is like a stray cat who just decided to trust the hooman who took him in and feel threaten when one day that same hooman bring another cat home 😂😂😂
I knew that was a node to the original score! We hadn't heard those melodies before and it sounded just like an anime soundtrack. It is awesome they added that!
Listen carefully to the upbeat bar music that was playing in the Luffy flashback where Shanks was stitching Luffy’s cheek injury. Some of us older OP fans got a bit teary eyed just hearing that.
Trivia: Capt Nezumi (Nezumi = rat in Japanese). That's why his getup is like a rat and he basically is a dirty rat. Literally and symbolically. Oda put many names by being inspired of old folklore, old legends (several famous pirate names, etc) or used the names to describe to personalities. It is always a great touch
@@OfficialMediaKnights one of the main reasons this show is a success is because Oda sensei is heavily involved. The production wouldn't go through with it without his approval they even have to reshoot some scene because he wasn't satisfied.
Fun fact: Anime watchers often say "Just wait till Arlong Park" because this season is actually the weakest season of One Piece. It's still just the prologue. The story has barely stated. There's so much, so much story to explore
I love the first 100 chapters of the manga more than anything after. It's perhaps because I read it when I was a kid. This was peak One Piece for me. I'm nostalgic.
Jealous Zoro is so funny 😂 Man vowed his loyalty to his captain half a day ago and immediately started defending the spot. Also, can't wait for season 2! Your reaction will be one of the first I check out, I loved seeing this along with you both!
When Garp said 'You're on your own now', it meant he might not be able to protect Luffy once he enters the Grandline. And now that he has his bounty and even if Garp is a vice-admiral, Garp can not take his grandson's side. Luffy is still a criminal in front of the Marines. Despite having opposite beliefs, there is no doubt that Garp loves his grandson/s. A tough kind of love.
Luffy had zero percent chance of winning against Garp. He’s waaaaay more op than Arlong. Arlong’s powerlevel is kinda like level 20 while Garp is like level 500+. Bro is a long time rival of Roger.
Helll no wayyy!!! Did you just spoiled the helll out of me 😭😭 Makes sense though he's the one that captured the King of the Pirate so he's like the counterpart for the Marines. Dang I thought maries are just weak cuz they don't have powers but wow
@@ncknelson well technically I didn’t spoil u cause it was shown in the 1st ep just as u said. Hehehe. Marines have a lot of powerful characters but that still has to be shown in the next seasons. Garp is just too OP. He and Roger are within top 5 most powerful characs in this verse. 😊
Thank you guys for watching One Piece. I've been following you guys since the first episode and i must say that you guys had the best reaction out of all the reactions ive seen so far. You guys observed and appreciated many things which most of the reactors failed to do. I'm a huge one piece fan and i really loved you guys enjoyed the show and can't wait to watch your reactions for the season 2. Love you guys ❤️!
Thank you for showing some love! It means a lot to us. You guys have been amazing and so supportive. Can't wait to share more of this incredible journey with all of you 😀
As a fan of the anime I’ve watched like 15 first time reactions to this show since I watched it myself and you guys are easily my favorite. Not sure if you plan on reacting to this or other anime but I’d love to see it!
That warms our hearts! Thank you for all the love and support ❤️ We have a long list of things we need to catch up with but if we do watch the anime you guys will see our reaction first hand. For now I think I'll read some of the manga up until this point 😀
Also a fan of the anime, definitely agree this channel has the best reactions! I love how they're able to dive into it on a technical level and absorb all the story beats.. i thought it would be impossible but i'm so glad it translated so well to live action. It's amazing seeing all the people enjoying it in this form!
Imagine how the fans felt watching their adventure throughout GrandLine. All those 1000 episodes made this anime the MOST loveable pirate crew. I hope season 2 comes out soon(probably 2 to 3 years), so you guys can meet more crew members.
Cannot wait! It's gonna be an amazing journey. Also we can expect Netflix to give them even more of a budget now so season 2 is definitely gonna be a feast!
I'm new to One Piece and just adored this series! So many heartfelt and wonderful messages: The importance of friendship and family, standing up for what is right no matter the consequence, knowing who you are and not being afraid to express it and the joy/trials of following your dreams. I loved Luffy's positive attitude and unwavering optimism, indomitable spirit and caring heart. He's a badass both inside and out!
Definitely agree! This show was such an incredible journey and it had everything we were looking for in a story. Not only were the characters so likable, the action was great and man...the emotional moments in this creeped up on us and hit us full force!
I love watching reaction channels react to this masterpiece adventure. I watched atleast 20 reaction channel and I tell you The Media Knights is the most enjoyable watch imo. they are immersed when they react which made them really look into the story like they keep guessing whats gonna happen, and react to the little details that matters later on, which is so fun to watch. ps. we cried with you both throughout this adventure T^T
I agree.. but I only saw 4 different channels including the Media Knights, but still I enjoyed watching their reactions.. even though I watched the series several times, I also laughed and cried together with these two wonderful people. See you guys in Season 2! (Excited since one of my favorite characters in One Piece was introduced in the very end, holding those cigars)
totally agree with you this channel got the best reaction very genuine along with Jaby Koay, I highly recommend it MediajKnights and Jaby. That is all you need ❤
At last, u finished it. Enjoyed u two enjoying it so much a lot honestly. It is always nice to see someone else liking what u like. Now pls start with the anime as soon as possible since next season will take minimum 2 years and so on. U do not wanna sleep on this story till then. Just do urself a favor and start it, even slowly if needed. Eventually u won't be able to stop watching more. This gets far far better with time. Best of luck and thanks for the honest reactions 🙏
You got a new sub cause just like this story...i felt your reactions were sincere! As a weekly reader for more than a decade...The OPLA nailed the core themes of this show and that's why it has become as popular as it did. The next season will be very late sadly...i wished you could watch the anime but i think OPLA is a unique way to showcase the original story and you can stick with it....even with the long break. P.S. The fandom can be toxic but i am glad they are being good to all new people.
It means a lot to us that you guys have been enjoying these so much. Thank you for all of the support! We could not do what we love without you. We know it's gonna be a bit of a wait but we hope it'll be worth it!
These two are adorable 🥰I love that they're so engaged in the story. I've been through the exact emotions like you guys when watching the series. Anw, you guys are amazing
A lot of people are suggesting you read or watch the manga/anime but to be honest i'd like you to stay blind, that way the reactions are gonna be even more genuine, sure the OG material is great but they did such a great job with this live action i want you to wait for season 2!
Oh definitely feel you on that! If/when we choose to cover the anime, we definitely won't go past the Season 1 arc because we loved going into this blind and wanna keep it that way for the next season! Thank you so much for your support, it has meant the world to us!
You guys were lovely to spend this time with. You have great takes on what’s going on, and it’s endearing, as a fan, to see those same emotional beats of the story hit you guys just as hard watching the LA as we all got watching the anime. Stoked to come back here when season 2 drops
You guys have been one of my favourite new reactions to watch for this series! It felt like from episode 1 you guys really *got* One Piece without ever seeing the manga/anime, like you felt totally tuned in to the vibe and heart and soul of this story the way Oda and everyone involved wanted it to be adapted.
With Sanji and Zoro, that's the only way they can express themselves. Growing up alone like Zoro or around tough love like Sanji and Zeff, having that kind of banter and one liners is the only way they can show their feelings without it being "feelings", y'know? I'm so happy that I found this channel via the One Piece live action reaction, so I'll be sticking around. You're both awesome!
I feel so bad for nami. If she didn't met Luffy and the crew, she’ll be forever arlong's slave. Arlong would never let her go because of her talent. In the manga, arlong said Nami is a genius and she can make the most accurate maps that no one can do, especially at her young age. So I agree that Arlong is nothing without nami. A great cartographer and the best navigator. I'm glad you guys are enjoying it. The barrel scene feels so emotional, the nostalgia.
Absolutely agreed, she could have been stuck with Arlong for far longer! It's so amazing what the right friendships can do for us - how the Strawhat crew elevated each other vs Arlong's crew enabling his totalitarian behavior... what a stark difference!
If you want to experience the full story, I would personally recommend "reading" it over "watching". The anime has some really strong parts to it, but as it goes on it runs into some problems with pacing and production-quality. The manga is the most consistent, high-quality experience, which is not surprising considering it's the author's direct work. A fan-made recolour of the manga is potentially even better. I also don't see the point of intentionally depriving yourself of the story, if you did enjoy it. The point of One Piece is that it is a blast to read/experience.
@@OfficialMediaKnights East Blue is, essentially the "Prologue" of One Piece's narrative. In a lot of ways, it was the easiest part of the story to translate to LA, because it is in some ways the "simplest". With that framing, you can imagine why people have such high expectations for Season 2.
@@OfficialMediaKnightsI will pray that you guys will be able to stop reading One Piece only at the East Blue Saga as the story telling is a bit of a vaccum; you know, pulling you more and more and making you super curious as to what will happen next and what story will unfold on the next chapter/volume🙏🏻🤷🏻♀️ You can do it! 💪🏻 Also appreciate your reaction on the live action it’s so fun to watch 🫶🏻 See you on S2
Thank you for watching OPLA! I hope you guys will remain as Live Action onlys. I love seeing Live Action only ppl react to the story for the first time
I binge watched all the OP reaction and it was so much fun to see your first One Piece experience! One Piece has SO MUCH to tell! Welcome guys to the ONE PIECE World!
Loved watching your reactions and how you share your thoughts and emotions at the end of each episode. I’ve been waiting eagerly everyday to see your progress with the show, can’t wait until you see season 2!
This is such a huge compliment, thank you so so much!! Your support means the world to us, and hopefully we see each other again for Season 2, if not sooner 😊
The best part it, this is just the tips of an iceberg. Before starting reading One Piece I almost laugh at the fan for telling me One Piece world building rival the great such as Tolkien, Frank Hebert, Georg RR Martin. Now I am caught up and realize what they said it true. One Piece is a TITANIC encyclopedia fill with geopolitics, culture, tradition, crazy set building, people with different ideology, faction, power and motivation. I am really grateful that you all give the series a chance, because when season 2 come out is where the fun truly started. Everyone, no matter who they are, should try One Piece as some point in there life, no matter life action or anime/manga. This series save me a lot during depress time, bringing JOY and FREEDOM that you can only get from a fictional world.
Wow!! That is so true - from what we've seen in the show, and read in the comments, the world is immense and we cannot wait to delve further into the world of One Piece! We can also relate to the last bit of your comment and how a show/book/movie can lift you up in the darkest of times. This has shown us such laughter, joy, heartbreak and hope, it's just such an amazing show!
Stunt doubles were used in some parts of the show, but the actors learned hard and did mostly of their stunts! Everyone’s very dedicated. The casting is so perfect! They’re like exactly the characters straight out from the manga. Oda, the creator and writer of One Piece, picked them himself! Oda’s very involved with the live action production. The showrunners promised not to put the show out until he’s satisfied-that’s why I respect Netflix and all the people involved so much.
As a fan of One Piece I watched a couple of reactions to this Live Action and I found you guys to be the most sincere and entertaining ones! Also your cutting and overall production is very good. I really had a blast watching this with you two, so thanks for your work! :) and praise GODA that Season 2 was already announced XD
I'm so glad you enjoyed!! I feel strangely proud to be watching so many people all over the world fall in love with characters that have been close to my heart for over 10 years, you know? Welcome to the fandom and thank you for watching!
Trivia: The new tattoo Nami got in place of Arlong's mark is a pinwheel and a tangerine which represent the dear memory of her late foster mother (the tangerine skin pinwheel in the series). Nami's backstory is watered down quite a bit comparing to the source material though. Actually, every villagers know what Nami has been doing from the start but they turned blind eyes so that Nami can get away without guilt if she can't bare the burden anymore. Nojiko even got her tattoo so that Nami doesn't feel so bad about Arlong's mark.
Fun fact: Sanji's attack names are french words for cuts of meat depending on the body parts and he's landing his kicks on the body parts of his enemies
I really enjoyed your reactions a lot. Even though there are so many reaction channels on youtube, sometimes it's hard to find people that you vibe with. Also, One Piece only gets better and better. The stories(Arcs) only get more intricate, the world keeps expanding and the characters(new and old) are always so layered and interesting. Season 2 is gonna be insane and i'm really excited for you guys to experience it for the first time.
"What a world" And you're just getting started. You guys have SO MUCH left to discover, so excitted for you to watch along! Really hoping this live action series continues and stays just as faithful to the source material
It's so fun. That's the best part of One Piece. It's just so fun that you always end up smiling, even through the tears. That's how it is with the manga, that's how it is with the anime, and that's how it is with the live action. And that's why people love it.
Thank you so much, we're so glad you got to enjoy our reaction!! We would be supergame to react to the anime though it's not quite in the immediate plans as of yet! And hell yes we're gonna be back for Season 2, hope you'll join us again then as well!
@@OfficialMediaKnights just a HeadsUp, if someday you decided to watch the anime, just skip the filler episodes (stories that not in the manga, it's made so the original source can catch-up with the anime airs schedule). 1000+ episodes can quite intimidating, but if you skip the fillers (you can search it on google), maybe it can ease the experience quite a bit. Peace.
@@OfficialMediaKnightsI think it’d be amazing to see your guys reactions to the anime and comparisons to the live action. Anime is definitely worth it this was nothing compared to later arcs
I'm a long time One Piece fan and I have watched several of these live react videos, because I love people seeing some of the things our fanbase sees in One Piece. I've been reading it weekly for over 20 years now. Of all the groups I've watched, you two have been my favorite. I love that you embrace the emotion of the show and you don't need to do over the top reactions to get your point across. You're awesome and you gained a subscriber from me. I'll definitely be back. If season 2 is given as much love as season 1, it likely will surpass season 1 easily! Thanks for the videos!
For me as manga reader and anime watcher who seen most of the anime and read all of it. This live action show is the best way to introduce new people to the show. It's just amazing.
Glad you guys enjoyed this show once again welcome to the One Piece community. You guys will definitely continue this show. Would be nice to see your reaction to the anime one day
I really love watching people who never watch any of the anime or manga react to this. It felt more genuine without being nitpicky about how some scene is different from the source materials
i started watching your channel for one piece but i’ve already watched so many other reactions of yalls already, you have me truly hooked at this point random fun fact, inaki actually met luffys original japanese va and they did the iconic ‘i’m gonna be king of the pirates’ line together
Thank you! We are so glad you checked out our other reactions! It's so nice to hear you enjoyed them 😀 Also that fun fact is awesome! It's so cool he got to meet the VA!
I've been in the world of one piece for more than 13 years. Though I had my issues with the live action, seeing the heart of the show stay intact and seeing people going through the same emotions as I did when I first watched it with our loveble goofy pirates I would say is the greatest success of this show. Luffy's actor brought someone to life that I thought it would be impossible to translate. Your reaction videos was amazing and made me a subscriber, thank you for your content and welcome to the One Piece world.
So this is it crew see you in the grand line and sanji only use his hands for cooking and he values food more than anything in his life sanji can't stand if someone wastes food. In s2 we will see a completely different world from east blue, rookies entering grand line to fulfill their dreams that's not gonna be easy. Also, our crew isn't complete yet we need few more members on our ship ;) and if you notice in first episode luffy started alone in barrel and at the end all 5 of them are together on a barrel performing a ceremony (foreshadowing) it's a complete circle and that's the beauty of one piece :)
Being a huge fan of One Piece for years , I really enjoyed the live action so much , and have been spending days watching so many people's first time reactions to OP , and you guys are amongst my favourite reactors to this show!! ❤️✨ I was also reminded of the emotions I felt when I watched One Piece (both anime ane live action) for the first time!! Thanks a lot for enjoying One Piece , eagerly looking forward to season 2 and your reactions to that as well!! ❤️
1:10 aww. really welcome to the adventure. and to be honest, i think this is simply what we want? for more people to get introduced into this story bcs we know the story is great, and maybe smth you only get to experience once in a lifetime. the live action truly made it so accessible to people. it's so nice to witness and be a part of.
You guys have very good cameras and Mics, I love both of your reactions and the way you watch the show. I'd love for you guys to try the anime, im pretty sure your channel will be insanely big.
Thank you so much!! We would love to eventually react to the anime though it's not quite in the immediate future! When we do react to it, we will not surpass Season 1, so we can still be surprised by Season 2"s events!
@@OfficialMediaKnights That's a great idea. I'm an obsessed fan of one piece. If you need any help with your anime journey I can help you. I also watched so many reactors that I know what the audience wants. The season 1 in netflix is the first 45 episodes of One Piece anime just inccase you need a guide. Goodluck on your journey and welcome to the cruise !
You guys saying Garp’s not taking it easy on him made me chuckle a little. He very much is taking easy, all I’ll say about that, haha. Glad you guys enjoy the first instalment, got many more episodes to go
Seeing you two fall in love with the Straw Hat crew is just so much greatness! Their story brings joy to so many people and watching people go from "What is this crazy pirate show?" to deep emotional investment is incredible. My oldest daughter begged me to watch the anime for two years, but I resisted. I finally gave in and by Season 2 end I had a Straw Hat jolly roger tattoo.😂
@@Rip_Shafi-qe5xm I'm not sure, but I think so. Although, they mentioned "not skipping Skypiea" in the announcement for season two, so they might make it longer.
@@RazorStormInc I thought they were gonna make skypia a start for season 3 and end it around thriller bark so they can make season 4 at the start of shabaody and at the end of marineford and season 5 the start of the time skip until the end of zou and a season for whole cake Island and a season for wano
Was a great ride with you guys. Kudos for the only one out of all the 20+ one piece newbies I've seen for seeing the Employee of the Month sign! Haha But more than that, thanks for being genuine.
I remember listening to Matt Owens the producer of the show on appear on this thing with One Piece UA-camrs called the Reverie. And when asked what are the key aspects that the show needs to capture he stated that the One Piece live action has to accomplish 3 things. It has to make you laugh Has to make you cry And has to make you go *Holy shit!* And to all the newcomers coming into this through the live action, they accomplished just that.
First, you Guys have the best reaction to one piece live Action I have seen. When I was watching your Reaction to The First episode I want to see you guys reacting to all The episodes. You guys are 100% one of My favorite Reaction youtubers and I am sooo hyped to See your Reaction when the new season comes out! Wish you a good day and much love from germany!!
The only criticism I had with OPLA is that they didn't explained or at least hinted about the power system in one piece world early, so that non anime watchers will have no confusion between devil fruit users and just Haki users. Just like with Mihawk, Shanks and Garp, they didn't ate a devil fruit but among the most op characters in the story.
Mm that makes sense, we were confused on the power structures because with characters like Garp, we assumed their powers were maybe supernatural, but turns out not every superpower is attained by the Devil Fruit. Hopefully they delve more into this in the next season!
@@OfficialMediaKnights If somebody ate a devil fruit they will usually announce it. Like buggy explicitly saying "I ate the chop chop fruit". Devil fruit users will also have powers that are completely unique to them. Luffy's entire body having the properties of rubber is a power unique to him because he ate a fruit for example.
To be fair, the manga and anime dont explain those points either. I remember assuming Kuro had eaten a devil fruit to explain his speed, but One Piece just assumes standard anime logic of "this person trained really hard and now they can punch a hole in the moon".
The thing about the theme song, in the anime every character has their own theme song. So it's nice they added that little detail to the live action. Also, Zoro and Sanji, still don't get along even in episode 1000, they always bicker
Guys, out of all the UA-cam channels reacting to this show, y’all have been my favorite because you seem to truly love and appreciate the feeling this story gives you… I’m telling you, if you enjoyed this to this extent….you have only made a scratch, within a scratch on the surface of what this series has to offer. Even now 1000+ eps and almost 25 years later, moments like these are still making us feel this way. The original fleshes out every moment that hit you even more You guys deserve to continue seeing how incredible this story truly is. There’s a reason the fans are this crazy lol, It’s truly peak fiction.
if you're interest in the source material, i suggest that you should buy and read just the first 12 books. (not sure if the US version have them in sets. in many asian countries, they have saga sets, like this one is the "East Blue Saga"). i don't recomment watching the anime because the pace in the anime is super slow and they have to add extra eps so that it won't overtake/catch up with the manga too fast. you can just read the east blue saga and leave it there, watch OPLA season 2, and then buy the next saga which is Arabasta Saga. this way, you'll get to enjoy the Live Action to the fullest while also understand the source material more. Also won't take as much of your time as watching the anime.
@@OfficialMediaKnights i checked the book. East Blue saga actually end at chapter 100 which is the first chapter of vol.12, the rest of the book is pretty much spoiler. so guess it's better to get just vol1-11 if you're avoiding spoiler. also, you'll notice all the little things in the LA ss1 way more after read the manga. one funniest thing they didn't say in the LA is that Zoro is so damn bad with directions, he can't find a way to get out of east blue to go find Mihawk and he also have zero clue how to get back home 😂. he didn't really think about becoming a pirate hunter, he just figured that it's an easy way to make money while he's still lost at sea.😂😂
The world building of One Piece is usually one of the most praised aspects about the series! It is fantastic and the world feels huge when reading the manga/watching the anime. Also I love seeing the actors being appreciated for doing their stunts! I think all of them were already training some kind of martial arts or trained specifically for One Piece. Following the actors since they've been announced and it was fun seeing it all come together in this fantastic show!
I just want let you know one piece fandom is great but don't surprise when some of them can be really toxic. It's because one piece is really big all over the world you can't imagine and new fans always coming everyday. I've been watch/read one piece since 2004 and i know how it change from the chillest fandom to the current moment new fans can be really toxic. But i hope you can enjoy the journey
You know, it's funny because from our experience thus far, the One Piece fandom has been one of the chilliest and kindest on our channel thus far - we've been lucky!! But we understand how toxic fandoms can get, and as you mentioned surely OP is not an exception. The great thing is that we have had so many kind people supporting us that it makes it all worth it! We have absolutely been able to enjoy the journey, and cannot wait for Season 2!
Been real fun to watch you both react to this! I’m obsessed since this show dropped to see people who have not seen the anime or manga. And your videos have been one of the more genuine ones I saw :) Welcome to the world of One Piece!
About this 29:04 "could he though!?" Oh you got no idea ahhahahahahah.. but imma leave it for that 😂😂😂😂 but we really appreciate how u guys love the show tbh
Yall are awesome. Your reaction has to be my favorite I've seen so far. Its good to see new fans become so attached to the crew that I've been following since i was a little kid. Season 2 is going to be WILD. 🏴☠️🏴☠️🏴☠️
Oda did a fantastic job of creating characters that are real. They all have a history, they all encounter hardships, struggles, and sometimes they have to ask for help. Not every fight is one they'll win. They all suffer losses and setbacks. The world that has been created is HUGE, and the writing is done where we feel for our incredibly relatable heroes and side characters. Even if the characters remain for a small arc of story telling, we remember them. In the manga before every chapter there would be 1 page depicting something happening with someone else. Sometimes it would be a funny scene, like Garp eating a bag of cookies while getting yelled at by his boss, or Buggy on an adventure as "Tiny Buggy" to show that even though they aren't being shown in the story, they're still there, doing their own thing, living their lives and dealing with their own problems (usually caused by the Straw Hats)
What you were saying at the end about it being beautiful etc, you really understood One Piece. That's what it's all about. That heart and soul is present in it even 1000 chapters later in the manga and anime. And the world is legitimately bonkers with how big it is and some of the adventures and places we go to. And since you said you're a fan of horror movies, I hope we make it to the spooky island in this live action 😁
You guys are awesome! Thank you so much for all the love. We'll definitely check out some of the manga but up until this point! We'll experience season 2 with you guys ❤️
I've seen people say they don't cry at fiction, only to shed tears several times reading/watching One Piece. It's like it finds a way into your heart, and once it does, you start to cry about even the silliest looking characters.
What a ride! Guys thank you so much for joining us in this amazing adventure. It's been amazing getting to connect with all of you. Thank you for being so wholesome ❤ This is not a goodbye. You don't have to wait. That's the benefit of a long-running IP. :) Also, while very good, the live action is not a substitute to the actual manga/anime. It only covers the barebones of the story.
one of the few real reactions in this scene 🎉

People caught up to the series "This is the least effort Garp could physically put in"
😂😂 It's true. But the path to discovery is a super fun one..

One of the best scenes❤

I knew that was a node to the original score! We hadn't heard those melodies before and it sounded just like an anime soundtrack. It is awesome they added that!
Me too. I live all the new fans. But watching the LA as a One Piece Anime watcher is on another level. I cried so much.

According to Oda, Nami is actually the 3rd smartest character from the the East Blue.
Ben Beckmann, Shank’s Vice-Captain, is #1
Kuro is #2

If you want to experience the full story, I would personally recommend "reading" it over "watching". The anime has some really strong parts to it, but as it goes on it runs into some problems with pacing and production-quality. The manga is the most consistent, high-quality experience, which is not surprising considering it's the author's direct work. A fan-made recolour of the manga is potentially even better.
I also don't see the point of intentionally depriving yourself of the story, if you did enjoy it. The point of One Piece is that it is a blast to read/experience.
We're definitely getting the East Blue saga but will stop there! We wanna be surprised by what the future holds for these characters 😀

Yass the geopolitics!!
If the whole series gets adapted you're in for one hell of a ride, it's a rollercoaster of emotions that only this universe can make you experience.

I remember listening to Matt Owens the producer of the show on appear on this thing with One Piece UA-camrs called the Reverie. And when asked what are the key aspects that the show needs to capture he stated that the One Piece live action has to accomplish 3 things.
It has to make you laugh
Has to make you cry
And has to make you go *Holy shit!*
And to all the newcomers coming into this through the live action, they accomplished just that.
Do watch Oda Sensei's announcement of season 2. I am fan for last 15 years and I am still hyped!
No wonder! This was incredible!
@@MikeHesk742Ms. Goldenweek isn't a power holder either
Haki isnt explained until after the paramount war in the anime. why would they explain it here in east blue?
That's vice admiral captain Smoker of Marines ..in the end
Thank you for reacting to OPLA 🤜🏻🤛🏻
It was our pleasure, thank you so much for joining us!! 😊😊😊
The thing about the theme song, in the anime every character has their own theme song. So it's nice they added that little detail to the live action. Also, Zoro and Sanji, still don't get along even in episode 1000, they always bicker
Smoker, Tashigi and Dragon in the season 2 premiere hopefully
Can't wait to meet more awesome characters!
I´ve watched all your reactions on this show and you called out so many lines in advance, it´s crazy!
Garp is actually taking easy on Luffy. 😅
Guys, out of all the UA-cam channels reacting to this show, y’all have been my favorite because you seem to truly love and appreciate the feeling this story gives you…
I’m telling you, if you enjoyed this to this extent….you have only made a scratch, within a scratch on the surface of what this series has to offer.
Even now 1000+ eps and almost 25 years later, moments like these are still making us feel this way.
The original fleshes out every moment that hit you even more
You guys deserve to continue seeing how incredible this story truly is.
I think that is honestly what we'll do. We won't go any further until the next season of the LA comes out!
@@OfficialMediaKnights op fans love new fans, it remind them why they love this series so much. But there some really toxic one among caught up fans.

Dog eat dog world after catching up with agendas
Been real fun to watch you both react to this! I’m obsessed since this show dropped to see people who have not seen the anime or manga. And your videos have been one of the more genuine ones I saw :) Welcome to the world of One Piece!
It's only getting started. Things only get crazier from this point on.
About this 29:04 "could he though!?" Oh you got no idea ahhahahahahah.. but imma leave it for that 😂😂😂😂 but we really appreciate how u guys love the show tbh
You know if you watch with the japanese audio, the actual voice actors for every character still dub the characters. So cool
That Luffy vs Garp in this episode, is like level 3 vs level 100. Garp is mad strong!!!
What a great reaction 👍
Im glad you enjoyed this much One Piece LA, please give a try to the manga/anime. You got our support!
