With all of the mods you’ve been doing to your little hot rod and as fast as you’re going. I’d start thinking about swapping out the drum brake for a disc brake system. I know they’re a lot of work to install but they will stop you a lot better. Just my 2 cents worth.
That is a really good point! I might do a video on that. I even thought about using my Coleman mini bike frame for the hot rod minibike. It has awesome brakes already.
I'm running the Hot .265 cam myself and it woke my 212 hemi(223 stroker now) right up. But, I want to push my limits, so I'm upgrading to the .356 cam with an all new head with 45# springs, chromoly pushrods and 1.2 ratio roller rockers. Have you thought about trying this build out?

Hey there! thinking about a cam for my 212 build and I was wondering if it makes it chop loud like a cammed car while idling? i think that would be super cool! thanks
Hey black66 I have predator 212 with header,038 jet 20 pilot ,8deg advance, air filter,22lb springs ..well it runs okay but need more from non hemi should install a cam mod 2 and billet flywheel with rod +20 would this even give me alot more power or do I need ported/polish head and lower cc chamber for compression?
Adding the cam and billet flywheel with the +20 rod will give it quit a bit more power . Even without any port work . You can add a .012 head gasket to bump compression a little .
Have you ever flattened a lobe? I just installed a cam in mine and did the whole cycle rpms for a few heat cycles. If its not necessary then good cause I want to rip this thing!
I just ordered a new cam, rod and some 26 lb springs for my predator 212cc and one of those billlet dual bearing side covers. I'm excited to get the new stuff but im also really nervous I don't want to mess anything up. Ive never done this before.
Awesome!! You won't be disappointed. You won't have a problem. Just take your time. I would say one of the main things is to make sure the clearances are good on the rod and crank with some Plastigage. Installing the cam and putting the rod on the piston is pretty easy. You got this!
This is a great cam. One of my favorites so far. You can really feel the torque. My champion rockers cam with a set of pushrods, but Yes, I have run the stock ones as well.
@@sandmanyaggy822 The rod that came with the engine is .020 shorter. All of the Predators come a little bit different from the factory. When you pull the head off, measure how far down the piston is in the hole. A lot of the time the pistons come .020 or .030 down in the hole. So you can use a longer rod to bump up the compression.
@@Black66 I was more concerned about the rod not getting the rocker to the correct angle. Not really concerned about higher compression. I've hear people having trouble with that. Can't really find a good video of install on the rockers. I bet if you made a video of just that it would do well. @@sandmanyaggy822 Oh ok, got ya. Yes, the rocker arm geometry. I have a video on installing my 1.2 ratio roller rockers. The pushrod length was slightly longer for the Champion rockers to get the tip in the center of the valve stem or lash cap. Depending on head gasket thickness. and If the head was milled or not.
