Thats pretty kool ,you spending your time to test different combinations for people to get a general idea where to spend there money if they like building there own bikes, keep at it man.i am building a early 2000s full suspension off road kart for my 6 year old grandson, and I enjoy different opinions on parts for these little engines, thanks
I made my own cam, hand ground it. I added a tiny bit less than 3/16 to the lift in a 68 Briggs. Did not change duration just the lift on both intake and exhaust. First start up it sheared flywheel key on acceleration off idle. Heated a new key up and hardened it in oil. Assembled it, and it sounded like a car motor with a half inch lift. You could hear the power just in how it idled. Hit gas flywheel key didn't shear and the motor dahm near pulled the bolts out of the wood bench. Friend of mine heard it run and naught it from me on the spot. Kinda regret selling, wanted to see how she'd do. Oh and all my mini bikes I built I used old five's with the steel sleeve cylinder. 40 chain and all of them did 45 miles an hour with no problems. So I don't really get what the advantage is to these predator motors? Oh, and you will get better valve relief if you cut your tale pipe off at a 30 degree angle. Trust me it makes a big difference.
@@Black66 I use to build mini bikes on the west side of St Paul or west end they call it. I built probably about 30 mini bikes about 12 years ago. The TV repair shop on the corner, good old Pete would let me set em up on the side walk for sale. Redone many different frame styles but the best one to do was an old rupp frame. I'm wondering why all you guy's don't use a skateboard wheel on one of the brackets for the belt tensioner off a snow blower but instead use it to keep your chain tight on the slack side. Especially for those who use that 35 chain. And if you look I believe that the 50 size chain will run on a 45 or even a 40 size sprockets. Distance between the links and the diameter are the same just the 50 is wider and links a little heavy duty. That's what I use to do on my own machines and neaver had issues. Now the chain tensioner idea I put on all the mini bikes I rebuilt and everyone loved the idea. Chain neaver gives any problems especially 35 and 40, they stretch so quick.
Love the video dude! Please do a gps “fire” 265 cam vs the superman 265 cam!! I would love to see a side by side comparison the way you document your findings.
cant see that it wud make a world of difference. pick a cam and go with it. RED BEARDS garage on the ROAD TO HP series added $140 for 1.2 rockers and got a measly 1/2 HP... for $140?? Hardly worth it. amazingly the stock cam did pretty well in the engine. the .265" cam did 2 more HP.
I have done so many videos with the Doodle bug its hard to remember a specific video. Check out the doodlebug playlist. ua-cam.com/video/141owDJWJgw/v-deo.html
what size jet are u running in the carb and your altitude. i am at high altitude too so it shd need LESS gas, not more??? for the less O2 in the air at higher elevations. seems like need bigger carb with smaller jet to get more air/O2 in the motor and less gas for the less O2 in the air????
Hey buddy how are you doing it’s me Joe Joe, listen I am in the market of buying either one of those cans at the moment which one gives you the best feel when you’re pulling like which one feels like it’s pulling more if you understand what I mean
You wont go wrong with any of the three. They all work great! I think one might out perform the other depending on the engine combo But for me on this engine combo the HOT 265 pulls the best.
i honestly dont get your speeds im also running a doodle bug frame but with 40 chain and 10 tooth in the front and a 43 in the back my engine is stock with govenor removal, exhaust, vm22 mikuni carb, and 26 lb springs but im hitting 60 mph someone explain my stockie without the springs hit 55
Everyone's "speed" will be different. Speeds and 0 to 30 times are a factor of rider weight gear ratios, engine mods, elevation, weather etc. There are some really good videos on the topic on UA-cam. I can gear a bike to have a faster top speed, but it usually won't be as quick getting there. The 0-to-30-time s will suffer. Check out this video about gear ratios and speed. Thanks for watching. ua-cam.com/video/xV8i59aGUao/v-deo.html
You ought to do a before and after of EC 1.3 ratio rockers on any 265 cam. A lot of people swear it opens up the powerband on top of the added power on 265 cams.
red beard did that with 1.2 billet rockers on HEMI with .265" lift cam it amted to 1/2HP ... for $140??? really not worth it on cost to benefit analysis... to me.
Can you put ratio rockers on these cams, or would you run into clearance issues? I’ve been trying to figure out the sweet spot between cam, rocker arms, valve size and high compression head to make the most power. I don’t necessarily need the engine to Rev to 10k and prioritize the ability to accelerate and climb hills.
I ran the Banzai in a hemi block with a clone head with 1.2:1 stamped rockers to see if it made a difference. It had more power at the top end but not enough for me to justify spending a few hundred dollars on some good ratio roller rockers. I put the champion rockers back on.
I NEED HELP PLZ my 208cc engine airfilter got oil in it and so i replaced it but when i turn the engine on the engine dies quickly. but when i remove airfilter and run engine w o airfilter it runs fine ? do uk why this may be happening ?
I would say the Mega Moto e-bike is my favorite bike at this time. I like the full suspension and frame size. To operate the bike all you have to do is turn the key. No starting of the engine or tuning is involved. I have a hard time picking just one favorite gas-powered bike. I like them all in different ways.

Thanks, this reassured me that hot 265 is the best cam for my 224 max build.
GoPower also makes a 265 Fire cam that is supposed to be even more agressive.
Thanks for another great comparison video!

Which engine u running
You should make a video on a Honda gx200
you tube has one. he made 15 hp at 6500-6850 rpms. 15 ft lbs of torque from 4000 to 5000 rpms. with .330 total lift, header, porting, Holy Moses carb.
Do u need to upgrade the rod before putting in that 265cam
