This song plays when the Brutes betray the Elites and the flood is starting to Infect High Charity in the last mission of Halo 2 (or 2nd to last I think). You may not recognize it because it’s an intense mission, but also the lyrics are completely muted in the game

Interestingly enough this is the song that broke the original band up and had the lead singer successfully suing his former bandmates. They re-recorded the song as a collab with another singer, making it a duet, without his knowledge or consent while he was on hiatus with some health problems. Now technically the band is just Benjamin Burnley in terms of rights.

Man the memories of hearing that song the first time in the game, especially in Halo 2 when Cortana says "um you might want to hang back on this one" ( I think that's what she says 😂)then the music hits it's be so long.

It was it halo 2 in one specic little tiny area of the game but dear god did it solidify its self with halo and made this song popular in the early 2000s
This album lived in my truck when it came out. They had another song on there and Incubus was on there too. This version of Blow Me Away was way better than the remake the band tried to slip to the label without Ben's consent. Nothing against the other artist - she had a great voice - but when I found out the background of the remake I couldn't give it the go ahead.
