Halo 2 Breaking Benjamin Blow me away, Mausoleum Fight with my Death Squad.

- The negative score is mostly due to my efforts of getting every marine to the very end. Have a malfunctioning trigger on controller noticeable after 1:45. Lost a marine here sadly -_-

To everyone who enjoyed this moment back in the day, sorry about your lower back pain
Well thats a violation.
@@AkshatSTR8EDGE im not that old
Yeah tell me about it..
@John athan ahh that sucks homey. Hope you're recovering alright
Come on man I was like 9.. rotflmao
I always keep these Marines alive as long as possible. I like to think they became legends after this, whether they died or not.
There should be a halo with a group of marines as lead just like Band Of Brothers, taking place from ce to 3. With chief only making appearance when it matters, like the ending of 343 guilty spark[those marines surviving is canon], 2nd being destroying the covenant ship with the bomb 3rd being this exact moment, marines getting caught in crossfire after escaping and chief intervening. Last being the 1v1 combat with the chieftain in halo 3. There, i did more justice to chief and halo than the showmakers of the parody we have right now.
Given that a major historical event is happening for the Covenant and a group of humans just show up in the middle of it out of nowhere, odds are decent...
I did that too😄 it was my mission to escort them to victory
@@AkshatSTR8EDGE That would make a brilliant game in my eyes You've been captured for however long and have no idea whats happening next. Then along comes Chief helping you fight your way out a coup. Or even during the second mission in halo 2 where the marines are holding off the covenant and chief comes along in a random warthog and takes out a scarab in front of you
Same, I even restarted if 1 died half the time lol.
I wish games didn't stop having rock music in moments like these, cause you just can't beat a badass moment like this if you don't have some hard tunes to play along side playing it
I agree bro. Nothing hits better than this scene.
As someone whom is experiencing doom 2016 for the 1st time this statement couldn't be anymore true. I had to pause the game because the argent metal and the brutality I was inflicting was beginning to get to me(in a good way)
rock music yes, a spoon in a washing machine no. an important detail babies like to pretend isn't accurate.
Me and my friend would play halo 3 while listening to atreyu
Doom still there
"You might consider sitting this one out" Coming across a Brute vs Elite fight in the Hall of the Arbiter... so epic
Winner : Marines
I found it pretty awesome when I realized that Blow Me Away was made for Halo 2.
No kidding, made for it?!
Checks out, was specifically made for Halo 2. Pretty badass
@@TheCasualGamer13 Ben contacted the devs after the first game saying how much he loved it and they were BB fans so they offered him to make a song for the sequel. That’s what I read at least lol I hope it’s true I fucking love BB
Halo was a way better military recruiting method than anything Uncle Sam ever created
Agreed.
The music really gets the heart going when it’s on legendary.
And then you die within seconds xD
I played Gravemind on Legendary with a mod that turns every enemy into a Jackal Sniper, truly felt relief when this played.
The exact moment (for me) that Halo was at its peak.
Anddd... What about now.. Isn't it at its peak?
@@Ssaa20124 I mean it was 2 months ago when I had a 30 person MCC system Link at my house, but no , not right now.
On Legendary, this was by far one of the best moments in gaming.
Just noticed one of the Marines says "I cant see em'" literally in the lyrics. HA HA nice touch Bungo!
Ah yes, my favorite video game company... bungo
@@superk9letsplays419bungo, as in an amplified yet funny way of saying Bungie.
I miss the sound of those hunters fuel rod cannons the best sound!!
they really are just chefskiss.jpg
I always thought it was a neigh or screech
The sound of the doors. I dont know why but I love it.
They really put their hearts into it.
@@AkshatSTR8EDGE Yes absolutely! And it improves the general atmosphere of the place I find. Pure geniuses.
This entire part of the game will be even more epic if they had the lyrics plain with the song
Someone's gotta find a way to mod it back into the game!
I think you might be able to mod it in the PC version the PC version also has a hidden warthog run that was never finished not to mention there was a flood variant that was never made but Halo 2 actually had a warthog run but they never finished the stage on the PC you can literally fly to the area on one of the missions and scope out the entire area I think there may also be a person that modded the full version of the mission on the PC only
I think the link to that video here on UA-cam was titled unfinished warthog run
correction I found it the video is called Halo 2 the Lost warthog run restored
No, that would just be cringe.
Noone of halos osts have lyrics and the actual song sounds like it came from a random rock band from the 90s.
The first gong, I was like, "No way! This can't be it".
The second gong, I was like, "Yup, its happening".
Music kicks in, everything became epic and the experience became LEGENDARY!!!
This really shows how much more effective marines would be if energy based weaponry were standard issue in the UNSC. The covies got a taste of their own medicine. Lol
Best of all, the covenant had no idea how their weapons actually work, while Cortana was able to tweak their ships guns on the fly
Just watched a new episode of Futurama, Malcom in the middle etc, now settling down to play some late night Halo 2. It’s early 2005, life is good.
futurama was not on at the same time as Malcolm in the middle, and you live in iraq.
@@peterdinklage-jy4dl I live in Iraq? No mate I live in England. I never said they were on at the same time, I was using them as examples hence the use of etc. Perhaps if you knew English you would’ve grasped that.
England is pakistan.@@wessexfox5197
Cortana: "You could sit this one out"
-this music starts playing and I can't help but jump into the fight headfirst like it's some kinda mosh pit
Probably the most epic music to ever be played during gameplay of any game. Just absolutely perfect
this was the coolest shit ever as a kid
Still is 🤟
Seeing marines kicking ass made me smile.
I loved Breaking Benjamin in 04 and loved this song and remember hearing it here.
I cannot believe this game came out 20 years ago, sold out in my areas within hours of release. I paid £45 for the steelbox version of the game and I still have it today.
I always believed that in the end of this level, right behind that last red door before the cutscene triggers, the marines found a pelican, phantom, or banshees and piloted them back to earth which chief ordered them to take. That extra minute in doing so is why he was late for Miranda and Johnson.
I always felt it would have hit even better if it was an ambush, but still one one the most vivid gaming memories for me
Blow me away should have blow up way more than it did, great song! It's always weird when I see people actually fight the brutes and hunters in this scene, I would always just let them kill each other and then mop up the rest.
Sadly i was only 2 when this game came out, so I didn't get to experience its launch or anything. However i went back and played the first 3 halos about a year after halo 3's release. However, I grew up listening to breaking Benjamin and other rock/metal artists. I was so shocked to see one of my favorite bands in a halo game. Truly blessed to experience that age of gaming.
This was one of the greatest gamin moments
Brings tears to my eyes every generation after millennials will NEVER experience the greatness of halo
The marine "well goodbye" lmao
On the old original X-Box versin, I got all 5 marines an alien bazooka. Needed a lot of checkpoint reloads because they preferred to shoot themselves ^^
But once it did, the Marines brought hell to HighCharity. Never came close to it again. Was probably only possible in the old version. And then at that checkpoint with Breaking Benjamin... oh memories...
:17 every player activated their sharingan 🤘
Screw Doom music, when THIS hits, then shit goes down
doom 2016 and eternal is overrated shit
I read that after the first game Ben contacted the devs to tell them how much he loved the game so they were basically like “we fuckin love your music how about you give us a song for the sequel”
*Me and the boys on our way to Index*
My skin frezze in this moment ! Many years ago I was playing and I can’t forget that !
I’m surprised the marines could get this far, I kept them all alive until I reached one of the bridges where 3 of them stayed behind and only 2 followed before I reached another one and the last two stayed behind. Kinda unfortunate that the flood probably consumed them when high charity went dark 💀
This slapped so hard for the first time
and you managed to save all the marines!!!
Because thats what heroes do 😉
He was just about to reach the jackal sniper area.
Muaaa
Una obra de arte meterle semejante temazo de fondo
Just beat Halo 2 for the first time the other week, such a great game, this part got me fired up
Breaking Benjamin, Papa Roach and Koran are the only three I know who got their music into two Xbox exclusive games: Halo and MechAssault 2.
People just, people just do not know how impactful this game was to so many people. And to the online video gaming community.
Good lord, what is wrong with the audio mixing on this port? Why is the music barely audible over everything else? It feels like everything is overlapping, it's bizarre.
I think the audio is messed up in the mcc. The original definitely wasn’t like that at all
We need to raise a bigger fuss about the audio mixing in MCC because it honestly isn't acceptable. I was trying to introduce my best friend to Halo for the first time and the entire time we could barely hear the dialogue nor the music. With no subtitles.
Honestly one of the reasons i just played most of the game on anniversary mode, the audio just wasnt right at all lol
@@blueplumber6970 understandable
Gaming, was just different during this era. Halo 2 hit a bar, that few games hit….and it was because of things like this.
Wow.. Never expected this many views over here, thank guys. Here are a few halo 2 legendary difficulty stupid deaths ua-cam.com/video/4rzkZvdVPS8/v-deo.html.
Ducking amazing theme
the idea of the UNSC running into a room with the covenant fighting each other and just blasting Earth rock music while joining in the fight is just so bad ass. i could totally see a marine repurposing radio equipment into a radio with music playing as they fight their way out
The Greatest of All Time.
huh i never remembered this being in halo 2
Beat the game a dozen times even on legendary and neither do I 😅
Such simple times it was One of my top gaming moments 🔥
I wish this played somewhere in Infinite.
best song in halo 2
Only time halo took inspiration from doom style music
First time i got here I was jamming (i was 8yr) since I was like cool music for epic battle :D
I just played this game for the first time. From Master Chief Collection. I played with all the og graphics and cutscenes. Im curious, Did the original game on xbox play the version of this song with the lyrics intact or was it always an instrumental?
Marines having superior ground tactics and marksmanship as usual
Didn’t 343 take this out for the original version on the MCC?
Getting the marines this far was such a damn struggle!
I swear i heard this play in the underground highway on earth in one of the beginning missions.
Nahh man, its just this section.
@@AkshatSTR8EDGE i heard the fucking bells at the beginning i swear
@@General_Shenanigans mate the sound is iconic, we havw automatically associated the whole song with halo 2 maybe thats the reason 😁
@@General_Shenanigans Can confirm it's present
My marines couldn't dream of making it this far... On legendary that is. Hell they barely made it to the lift
Halo 2 on legendary is legit stupid. Its not fun, halo 3 and ce on legendary are legit fun.
I had more than 7k score before entering regret's chamber, by the time it ended i had a negative score..
Badass
Noice
I've done this on legendary keeping all the Marines alive and giving them all fuel rods or beam rifles. This guy must be on a different difficulty because they usually don't last 15 seconds.
just WOW ... thanks ...was it legendary ?
It just starts so randomly 😂
I Love Bee's
In the máster chief collection the song still?
Yes , you have to switch to classic mode
How come you've got negative 1k points?
Hokiebird should see this hahaha
;-;7
Damn! its been way too long since i watched him, thanks for the reminder 😌
Marty O Donnell himself linked this video
Halo 2 was so... interesting. Such a shame it's the LAGGIEST title in the MCC even with the remaster / anniversary vers
This was pretty much my only exposure to hard rock music as a kid. I always gravitated towards it and finally at like age 17 I got into Breaking Benjamin, which was a gateway into metal and then into somewhat obscure metal bands which are still my favourite bands today.
Ayo
No sword? C'mon dude!
This dude did it all wrong. As soon as the music drops you puuuuushhh
Was is in the remake?
Sadly no.
I let them fight on the second hardest difficulty because they kill each other.
We all old as shit now 😭
The music is soooo quiet
Is this MCC?
Yes.
I just wish they’d played this in the anniversary version. Breaking the Covenant is good but it doesn’t hold up to this.
you're using a pulse carbine hahahahaha
I like having the marines carry, giving them the strongest weapons when i play for fun. If they die i simply reset.
@@AkshatSTR8EDGE Giving them the covenant sniper is smart cause they can crack shields while all you have to do then is get a headshot.
They ruined the series with all the subversive crap. I dont think marathon will be this bungie either since they fired all the boys club guys
Game basically calling you a pussy if you don’t push when you hear that riff
Damn
