It's always a good feeling when tourists come and enjoy our beautiful city. Spread the word to your friends and family. There is also a lovely farmer's market every Wed. and Sat. during the summer months. It's amazing!!
So fun! I just found your videos. We live in Kelowna and we love it here. 😊 I love your positive outlook on everything you experienced here! Such a breath of fresh air. Take care. 😊
Omg Julien gave you major stink eye when he realized there was no time for him to swim! Poor boy! So glad he made up for it later and he got that swim in and the smile back on his face lol:)
Safe travels. Great video, wishing you and your lovely family all the best!!! If you ever get a chance to head to Northern BC, out to the Coast (Prince Rupert) and then take the inside passage back down to Vancouver island or Seattle) you should do it. It's a fantastic voyage, driving north to Rupert on Hwy 16, then south via Ferry to Port Hardy, drive the length of the island and you're almost home.
So glad to come across this video. I live in Kelowna and would say it’s the prettiest place in Canada! Sprout coffee shop has the best bread around town! And you stayed in a perfect location, close to downtown and beaches! Parlor ice cream shop is the best as well! As for the apartments that are being built, we have extremely low availability for an apartment rentals and to fix this issue, the city decided to start building apartment buildings. Hopefully it will help with rental costs and availability. It is truly a very beautiful place, I wish you had a chance to go to Kalamalka lake, with deep green and turquoise waters… It is surely a place, where you can do skiing in the mountains and golfing in town the same day and be surrounded by wineries anywhere you go True Canadian gem❤️
Fun video, I grew up in Kelowna and fun to see it through fresh eyes. It's so much longer to go through eastern WA though! (If you go through Bellingham can use Sumas or Lynden rather than the busy Peace Arch border crossing.)
@@BDOKV , you sound lazy as hell. There’s swimming, paddle boarding, , kayaking, windsurfing, sailing ,water skiing, boating, hiking, some of the best mountain biking around. Parasailing, skydiving., snorkelling. Epic golf courses. Bike riding on the trails . Camping, fishing, so many beautiful lakes to choose from. Wine tours and great local restaurants. That’s just to name a few.
This obviously wasn't filmed recently .....lol. Been a subscriber since your beginnings. Kelowna was hit really bad with forest fires last summer. Cheers from Northern Canada.
I used to live in White Rock, the other side of the border from Blaine. When I'd go skiing at Mt Baker, I'd always use the Sumas border crossing. It was always trouble free.@@GeminiDiscover
Great video. Which camera were you using in the car and at Gyro park and the pool? Also which microphone did you use? I enjoy your other channel too. Looks like you had a great time. Iona x
Ok the logic about the beach being busy is not true. Try swimming in bay area or monterey, both of which are significantly more south and colder than swimming at a beach in Vancouver. Also, that particular beach referenced at the start is on a lake. The water temperature for individual lakes varies wildly.
Kelowna is not building up for the teasons you stated it us building up because the demand for housing is great. people want to move from the over crowded bigger cities to a smaller town / city. Also people moving from thecold east to a warmer climate. It does get much hotter in Kelowna- 35-40° C it hotter. There is so much in Kelowna that you didnt see like know mountain and Paul's tomb. Lake country beach winery restaurants fruit stands all water activity like boating ,skiing paddle boarding etc. you'd need a couple weeks to see it all
The biggest reason Kelowna is building is that there is a massive real estate bubble in Canada. Check out how many homes are sitting unsold in Kelowna for months
This video was filmed in July 2023.
Yup. I live in a beautiful part of the country! Thanks for highlighting the lovely downtown area of Kelowna. One of my favorite places to be.
I used to live in Kelowna…it is cracking me up that you are calling it the north! We need to send you up to Fort St John or somewhere lol
It's a lot more north than Cabo!
Haha fort St John is not a tourist destination though. A dusty ugly town with nothing to do.
Does it get lots of snow there
FSJ is one of the worst places BC has to offer haha. Spent most of my life there. In the Shuswap now.

We want to visit many more times

We're glad the locals like our videos 😁
It can actually get super hot here in the summer, we just got over 2 weeks of 35 - 40 C , so like high 90's or over 100 degrees Fahrenheit...
That's too much. It has been a really hot month in Seattle too
Great job on the video! Excellent video quality and synopsis of some things to do in Kelowna! 😊
Thanks so much! 😊

3:10 Gyro Park is in Osoyoos (not Penticton).
Yes we must have misspoken
It gets from 35 c to 20c at night in the heat if the summer !!! Usually !!! Such great Weather !!!

Looks really nice. I put it on my list.
We were so pleasantly surprised by Kelowna. It exceeded all expectations!
The southern interior of BC is stunning.
its boring here but if you like swimming all day then the place is for you ✌🏼😆

Hope you were able to see Kalamalka lake between Kelowna and Vernon. It’s absolutely gorgeous. ❤
Yes we visit in the next episode
On July 1 Canada Day there are fireworks off the beach close to your accomidations!
The timing of this is great! We are heading that way in May 😂
Hope you have a great time! We absolutely loved Kelowna.
The comments about our infrastructure … spot on xD

Yes, it was filmed in July 2023, before the wildfires.
Yea it’s beautiful and grew up there in Kelowna. Osoyoos is great too but it’s hotter than Kelowna and hot weather is my only complaint there.
Good call, avoid Peace Arch whenever you can - it’s waaaay too busy.

4:55 why the heck did they put a towel on the toilet ?? so gross !!!!!
I love that tourists come to the Okanagan, but how do y'all find things to do in retirement city?! 😭🤣
Haha Kelowna has long since not been a retired city besides it was Penticton that was labeled " newly weds and nearly dead. But not anymore
@@personincognito3989 actually, the whole Okanagan is retirement central
There is so much nature and beaches

Yes , it’s legal now!?!?
Overpriced Kelowna
It's cheaper than the USA or Cabo!
This Canada those highrises are going to be sold before they are built.lots of money in BC
The market has completely stalled
