- We have made 2 tours on this day, the first one was posted earlier at Cabview Holland. This is the second. We are a guest at the Electric Museum tram line Amsterdam to take a second city tour with an antique tram. It was exactly today that it was decided to protest the Covid-19 measures in the city center with 50,000 people. As a result, the tram runs an alternative and therefore unique route through a part of Amsterdam that normally remains hidden from tourists. We drive on the GVB 464, built in 1929 as a trailer and converted into a railcar in 1935. Manufacturer Beijnes. Enjoy watching!
We hebben op deze dag 2 ritten gefilmd, de eerste rit is eerder reeds gepubliceerd. Cabview Holland is vandaag te gast bij de Elektrische Museumtramlijn Amsterdam om een stadsrondrit met een antieke tram te maken. Het was precies vandaag dat men besloot met 50000 man sterk in de binnenstad te komen protesteren tegen de Covid-19 maatregelen. Daardoor rijdt de tram een alternatieve en dus unieke route door een deel van Amsterdam dat normaal voor de toeristen verborgen blijft. We rijden op de GVB 464, bouwjaar 1929 als bijwagen en in 1935 omgebouwd tot motorwagen. Fabrikant Beijnes. Veel kijkplezier!

Enjoyed the unique route. Nice to see Slotermeer as I grew up there in the late 50's/early 60's.

What a beautiful day for a tram cab ride. I love the look of this old tram; it may be be as sleek as its modern counterparts, but it has so much more character. I hope the driver gets frequent rest breaks as he has to stand for the whole journey. I cannot remember seeing any cyclist wearing a helmet! I have visited Amsterdam, but not the outlying business/residential districts - good to see.

I am just lovin' our recent spate of museum visits. Way to go! Teacher! I can use my new mochila (backpack). It was a totally different time, seems like back in the Paleozoic, and a place that was very different yet the same. This ride more than the others like it evoked the mid 1960s Amsterdam I visited. That's the Amsterdam that set in my mind an image of what Amsterdam should be like. The city has preserved its feel through the years.
Thanks for this particular ride. It brought back memories.

😊volgens mij zag ik 2 nieuwe trams,werd wel tijd.
If I may ask, how is the grass in those stretches that run over grass maintained? Deck mounted mowers on Maintenance of Way rolling stock? Regular lawnmowers? Does the constant use just keep the grass adequately beat down? I did notice it was a little unkempt along the curbside edge.
Anybody?
My thought is that the trams themselves keep the length in check - much the same way as a double-deck bus will profile the shape of trees overhanging a road

Wonder how many people get "clipped" by cutting in front of the trolley?
Hoe werkt zo tramrit eigenlijk?? Mag het museum vrij rond rijden?? Of moeten er "rijjpaden"(ik weet een tram heeft geen rijpad) aangevraagd worden bij de gemeente/gvb??
Goeie vraag! Ik zal dat een volgende keer eens vragen. Of weet iemand dit?

Kan iemand die deze video gezien heeft waarom zo veel trams waren tussen Museum park en de Haarlemmermeer Station? normaal reed lijn 16 daar, die rijd volgens mij al een tijdje niet meer. Of waren het trams die van de remise kwamen en naar hun begin halte gingen? CABVIEW HOLLAND zal op deze vraag mogelijk geen antwoord op hebben.
Lijn 16 is inderdaad geschrapt. De rails ligt er nog en wordt denk ik alleen gebruikt om trams naar de remise bij het Haarlemmermeerstation te brengen.
Er was ook een tijd lang onderhoud aan de weg in de (Nieuwe) Vijzelgracht waardoor daar geen trams konden rijden, zoals de 24. Die heeft tijdelijk een andere route gereden.

@@mrjutte 🙂ha Mr jutte. nog een gezond 2022 toegewenst, ja ik zag dat we de hoofdweg opdraaide,maar geen rondtonde meer,ja ik ben daar al in geen jaaaaren meer geweest,weet nog dat er ook een groot kermis terrein was.kijk die tijd vliegt zo snel hé.maar al met al een mooie rit.zowiezo.ga het van de zomer ook eens doen met de blauwe tram lijn 13..mooi,ik ga mafen,alweer 2 uur bijna.fijn weekend.greetz:Peer.🍐

this may sound strange but ehst kind of a vehicle was that at around the 9:05 mark of the video, man that vehicle was small...LOL
It's a so called microcar, mainly used by the disabled.
Legally it is a moped, more and more often used by youth.

Ja dat dacht ik dus ook ja. Kan iemand uitleggen hoe dat hier in deze situatie nou zit?
@@CabviewHolland Volgens mij heeft het iets te maken met de rode knipperlichten die aansprongen (hier te herkennen aan het gele lampje). Dan gelden de regels net als bij een verkeerslicht en gaat dat boven de "normale" voorrangsregels.
@@renebeltman Hm ja, maar dan ben ik benieuwd of datzelfde teken voor de scooter brandde, en of dat geldt voor scooters. Ik ken het symbool niet.
Wanneer gaat er weer zo'n rit gehouden worden?

Dig for info - worse, as in more contagious, yes. Worse as in makes you sicker, no. And it drives out the nastier variants. MAYBE in two months or so this will be done unless the politicians can keep it on artificial life support.
