Talked to a few people who had continued respiratory infections from using Phillips CPAPs. They assumed it was from improper disinfection of the mask and tubing, when all along the machine was slowly poisoning them.
Info is inaccurate. Read FDA form 483 dated November 2021. Philips Respironics knew about defect per an email dated 25 November 2015, not 2016 as you reported. I have talked with FDA and Philips Respironics every month.
What's annoying is there's an easy fix, but because the Dreamstation is a medical device Phillips can't implement it. Ideally Phillips could have made up a batch of replacement blower housings without the foam and sent them out to the owners/users of the effected machines. Anyone reasonably competent with a screwdriver could swap the blower housing in half an hour and completely eliminate the foam issue. As the guy in the video said, for someone with severe sleep apnea not using their CPAP machine simply isn't an option.
it was not that difficult. nowing i had about 72 breathing stops per hour i was to afraid to stop treatment and took the small risk. now since a few months i have the dreamstation 2 so it took verry long before i got a replacement.

Service centers here in Philippines are kinda lame. Should I send the device back to my Sister? Anyone know who I could contact with regards to this?
I'm on a Trilogy EVO, for life support, and let's just say, I don't like the thing! I had a Trilogy 100, but it was one of the recalled machines, so I ended up with the Trilogy EVO! Who's to say, there's not cancer causing stuff in these? Only time will tell! If I ever get something like Acute Lymphocytic Leukemia, I'll know why!
Hello, I have a question not sure if someone could help me out?. Anyways I was using a Philips CPAP machine only after 14 months of use I started having chest pain went to the ER more than once and was diagnosed with bronchitis and some other sickness I was given antibiotics and steroids yet this did not fix my Health issues. Eventually I went to my primary doctor told him about my symptoms and I was referred to a lung doctor, oncologist doctor and a cardiologist. Long story short at 38 years old I had to have first a heart stent a few months later I continued having chest pain and using the CPAP machine/every time I use the machine my lungs would hurt I would have dizzy spells during the day and headaches almost all day and night long. In addition to that I also have a small growth on my lungs I don’t know the doctors lingo but I believe I have a enlarged lymph note as well as something is wrong with my white blood cells not sure if it’s too much or not enough sorry. I have been fighting to try to receive my Social Security benefits/disability I have been unable to work since my heart issues well shall I say two or three months prior to my heart stent being placed I had my open heart surgery of May 2019 I have never been the same I have two small children boys that I cannot even play with or pick up I am on lots of medication including for depression this CPAP machine ruined my life. Is there anyone that can help me with information? My question below: I have already went to the Philips website and registered my machine also I received a letter from Philips about the recall I did not send my machine back honestly don’t even remember if they asked for it back? I did not want them to say I did not have it or pull some shady stuff on me. So my main question is what do I have to do to join the class action lawsuit I tried looking it up not sure but am I already included in the class action lawsuit? Or is there something I have to do? Please I beg of you can someone please help me? Honestly I am computer illiterate.

All I know at this point is if you have the lung cancer caused by the gases and particles from the insulation on the CPAP machine that you can join the class action lawsuit. Currently waiting to see my pulmonary doctor to see if I can get diagnosed as I too am experiencing chest pain daily.

You can de-foam a dreamstation with a grabber claw spring tool, or a mini drain snake plus a power drill.

This is an old story by now. I'm still using my machine because I can't go without it. Bigger risk to not use it than use it.
