When I was a teen I got this fancy foundation (first ever) from my dad because he knew I struggle with my skin. I of course the first week of opening it smashed it on the school floor, 70% of it smeared all over, the rest stayed in the now smashed glass bottle. But I wasn't about to give up an expensive af foundation so cleaned out an ugly hand cream jar (gladly almost empty) and poured in my pathetic amount of glass shard foundation. Lesson: don't buy foundation in glass bottles.

Sam, you should definitely check out the cream shadows from Sydney Grace! Particularly the shades Boardwalk, Star Struck, Master Plan, Cliff Jumping and Candlelight. There are also multichrome shades, if that's your jam. The cream shadows are $8 each (USD) and they are gorgeous on the eyes and very easy to work with. ❣EDIT❣: They're so good on their own that there's no need to spice them up with a pigment or a PMG shadow. Although, Sydney Grace makes fire pressed pigments and pressed shadows, too. 💓

I mean the woman was with Estée Lauder Companies for over 20 years, and when she was really gone gone (out the door kind of gone), there was a 4 year non-compete clause. Can you imagine that when your life's work revolves around makeup, that you then can't work openly in that industry for yourself or anyone else for 4 whole years!! I actually dig the fact that she had a necklace made of the end date of that non-compete clause, she reportedly wore it every single day, and then Jones Road Beauty was announced the second she was legally allowed to. Also her and her husband ran a hotel during that 4 year gap which I think is pretty interesting.

when I have used the rare beauty primer on deeper skin tones, I don't love it. it does look a little ashy but sometimes putting shadow over it conceals it, but not always. I usually just try to avoid it though, and go for a clear or skin tone correct shade.

I adore Phytosurgence! I always refer to the Spectral Shine highlighters as almost a gelee powder/cream hybrid. And yes, you gotta swirl that brush was more than ever seems natural but its so worth it! I put this directly over the tiny fine lines around my eyes and it totally gives that filtered look.
I laughed so much in the first 5 minutes. That was literally me for the first 3-4 years of motherhood. I dropped everything, I was just a car crash waiting to happen. I laughed about it all the time, I just couldn’t do anything, apart from with my child. I think I looked like I’d been dragged through a hedge backwards, so your doing better than me, you managed a full face of make up, even if it did have floor bits in it. You swirl a soft, fluffy brush in the pan about 20 times and when you blend it onto the face it’s incredible. The glow is so good. I highly recommend for anyone looking to support some indie brands.

I have a medium tan skin tone (MAC NC42 AND C4) I have a lot of discolouration on my eyelids so I do prefer a concealer or a base with some pigment to it. I’ve tried the ABH one and the Plouise and they’re way to light! I know the PL one comes in different shades but I don’t like the formula. But unless the base comes in multiple skin tones I don’t really bother to try them because I’m better off using my concealer.
Interestingly, with Patrick Ta's duos, the deal is that you apply the powder product first and then the cream over top of the powder. It actually looks beautiful. (I've tried the the blush in She's That Girl but not a bronzer duo.)

I don't have the rare beauty primer but I do have ud in eden (pale cream colour) and I blend it with concealer on my brow bone to make it look less weird. It's not ashy on me and makes my eyeshadows stand out more, especially pastels. I'm not a great example though because I'm a medium skin tone - like the middle shade for most good foundation ranges (which for some reason falls into the tan section for a lot of companies)
Omg yay!!!! So happy you tried Phytosugence and like the products! Their products are wonderful! That highlighter is one of the most interesting products I've ever used. It took me some time to get used to but it really gives a beautiful airbrushed filtered glow to the face!

I don't have the rare beauty primer but I do have ud in eden (pale cream colour) and I blend it with concealer on my brow bone to make it look less weird. It's not ashy on me and makes my eyeshadows stand out more, especially pastels. I'm not a great example though because I'm a medium skin tone - like the middle shade for most good foundation ranges (which for some reason falls into the tan section for a lot of companies)

Omg yay!!!! So happy you tried Phytosugence and like the products! Their products are wonderful! That highlighter is one of the most interesting products I've ever used. It took me some time to get used to but it really gives a beautiful airbrushed filtered glow to the face!
