What a great teacher..... study with him through my instructor, George Pogacich (out of the Detroit area for the last 20+ years If you are in the Royal Oak area, look him up)
I would have to say he's one of Vladimirs top 5 students/instructors (in my humble opinion)
We would probably go to Toronto a couple of times a year to study with him personally.
I studied the Tiger system of Choy Li Fut, and he said, "we're not animals. We're humans."
    😂
What a kind and humble man.

I made a trip up to Toronto once over 25 years ago when this style was still not that well known. I drove from NC and I think I'm the very first black guy to have been exposed to this style. But it's interesting what you say about this guy from Detroit because when I was up there I met a guy from Detroit. Don't remember his name but he did say that he did workout with some of the Detroit boxers. The only reason I'm not a master in this style is because I met a girl shortly after my trip there and it was long distance and the trips I would have been making to Toronto I was making to see her crazy ass. One of the biggest mistakes of my life was staying in that relationship as long as I did. Lesson learned. I actually wanted to move there for a year or so to really get good at it and Vladimir liked my potential. I was there for 8 days.

      @@ramakrishnashalom9004 Hello....
      It was George Pogacich.
George was a boxer for many years and after he was heavily involved in Systema, he started to help out boxers development punching power.
      Which he HAS.
      Lot's of power.
You probably trained in a garage in Royal Oak, which was my garage. I didn't have to pay George since he was using my place. 😁
There's supposedly other players in MI, but they hold no weight.
Systema is a difficult art to learn. So it's hard to train by yourself.
      1. No forms (which is pretty interesting in itself) so you need a partner to train with.
      2. It's a soft style and takes a lot of patience and understanding of your body. If don't remember, (if you do please forgive me) Systema has 9 moving parts.
      Fingers
      Wrist
      Elbows
      Shoulders
      Neck
      Waits
      Knees
      Ankles
      Toes
That's why when you start understanding you can take on several opponents. LoL.... I no idea why I started to you about Systema. 😄
it's actually not a martial art persay because there is no Systema wrist locks like in Chinese style Chin Na or throwing like Shuai jiao or Judo. It's actually about movements.
And once you get that down (difficult to apply in real life situations) you'll start understanding the power it has.
      Very powerful!
I've since moved away and rarely get to train with George. And I basically returned to my original style for just practicing.
Until I go down state to see George.
      again.
I'm sure there must be someone in your area?
