We would have 2 groups ready to queue for OPR. The first group would queue and announce where they were in queue. When the queue advanced to 5 more than what they announced the second group would queue up. It was about 50/50 we ended up on the same team. (If we were on opposite teams we went after each other and yelled and laughed in discord) So it was good either way. Well, for us it was.

The world wide population is so low they only need 1 global server as-is. 3 years in to announce match making is a perfect example of why it is way too late to save this game. They didn't fail in a new way. They have been pushing out content late and bug filled since launch. We've been hearing the "we'll release slower to ensure we release better quality, etc...same statements they have been making for years. At this point, their words are as meaningless as the POTUS.

Slayer script is so scuffed it actually doesn't matter what they add anymore. If it doesn't get completely tightened from top to bottom for fluid movement and action concerning animations the game is just done. They can invest their time in something else.
I have plenty of war experience, I have spammed shitloads of OPR, done dungeons, M10s, chestruns. Been part of many nice communities and given AGS alot of feedback.
The fact that only 2% of players compete in wars should tell you that it's inaccessible for most players and they need a better way for players to funnel in to what is basically end game pvp. OPR is not that. It's a shame most players can't experience this and if they do it's often overwhelming because the game doesn't really prepare you for it with a scaled down version
Match making is such a stupid idea. You’re gonna divide the 500 people that can support 1.5 OPR matches at a time?? If you don’t hit the OPR queue, you’re waiting 15-20 mins everytime to catch the queue for the only OPR happening. That’s the entire problem with AGS. Why are they even thinking about stuff that stupid when the game is so broken it’s literally unplayable. Community: AGS, your game is dead because it’s broken on all levels, PLEASE fix it! The people still playing NW are in a game's equivalent of a domestic abuse relationship. How many times have we heard AGS say "we've fucked up", "we need to do better", "we hear you and we're sorry", "it wont happen again" but literally repeat the same thing the following patch. Reading Reddit or their Discord is hilarious with how many of these 'victims' can still stick up for AGS and say how they've changed and will be better now.
War loggers only war log because the rest of the pvp game modes are abysmal to play compared to wars. If ags made OPR better, more war loggers would play more than just war.
2% does wars and they mostly do only wars - then how is managing a region still so important in the game?! The meta needs a revamp to take it away, since most seem to want PvE and/or more casual play.
I'm sorry, but I don't care in the least about "fresh servers". I spent a ton of hours getting my character leveled up and geared. I am not about to waste more time rolling up a new character on a new server just because AGS thinks that is "new content". I can already create 3 characters on new worlds. Screw consoles. As far as Seasonal stuff, that's about the only think keeping me playing. If it wasn't for that, there would be NOTHING new ... and yeah, now the seasonal stories are just repeating. GIVE US NEW CONTENT!
I think end game like wars in this MMO can be fixed by just taking out the company aspect of owning territory. It should be Faction driven not company driven. This way everyone can take part and feels part of the end game and not the 1% or 2% hardcore. This way Factions mean something and if your faction owns a territory, each member can get maybe 200 coin a day for each territory that faction owns. Players that would get into the wars would be open for anyone to sign up from that same faction and the players would be randomly picked from the war board list to fight in the war. The game should be fair for everyone to have a chance to play everything the game offers and this way I believe would make open world influence race even bigger too and everyone in the dog would fight for 200 coin per territory a day. ( Companies should still be in the game, but not run the game ) I think it would be better then what they have now, I mean how is the game doing as of right now anyway. Think about this. Always having big scale PVP pretty much everyday. They could have 3 territories up for a influence race Sunday ( one at 8pm and one at 9pm and the other at 10pm) then the next day 3 wars ( one at 8pm, then 9pm and last one 10pm) then Tuesday will be other 3 territories repeating the same cycle. Wars don't have to be competitive content but a chance for your faction to earn a little extra coin a day. They can turn the competitive side of things in New World a different direction by giving the hardcore some ranked PVP modes to play. I just think a player that buys a game should be able to have a chance to play everything it has to offer. Ideas or Examples would be ( Ranked 3v3 for a small hardcore company ) and ( Ranked OPR for large hardcore companies )
who decides who plays the wars? how do you balance both factions rosters? who does the strategies? who is shotcalling? who is coaching? seriously, taking out companies would kill the game once and for all. After all this game has created some nice communities, be it pvp or pve ones and thats what keeps it alive atm. Playing for a badge in a company limited to 100 players is something "special", being in a faction with potentially 1000 people isnt

the first 1-60 when new world launched was fun. i enjoyed that time, then the metas kicked in, the mega companies became a thing an everything went to shit. You stopped being able to get into wars, the endgame was horrible, and it all just fell apart and has never recovered. this game is a scrap an move on idk why they keep trying to kick a dead horse. Just let it go man. Take all the failures of this game, think about all the good, and go out and make a new game with the same style of movement, action, etc. bring in some new talent in the dev team, and fuckin try again for christs sake.

This was a Trick/Trick idea on wars, and I very much support this idea. The main fight would be for the town with a 50v50 fight just like now. Winning this would give one 50%control of a territory. While at the same time two other fights in that territory are going on with 25v25 that would each get 25% control each depending on who wins those fights. This would allow for more people to have a part of the war system and not just the large war guilds and alts. If any question on this ask Trick/Trick.

Jay, how long it took for you t orealise that chest runs is a garbage design for a gameloop. Myrgard on release was feared and actually hard, rewarding with unique drops that were not just common or blue but epic and also rewarded with GS increases. I think myrgardw was balanced around 5 People and around 500-580 gs
Matchmaking in opr is such a dumb way to balance opr, role locks should be implemented, having MM won’t change the fact I can Q in solo or in a group and have 1 healer on my whole team and the enemy team has 5 , it’s so unbalanced and random, hard lock players into their roles/weapons during matches balance them in between teams to make the games way more fair and balanced
the devs should do a ff14 type wipe.. and just restart with all of the new changes.. on a fresh slate. for EVERYONE. not just servers. reset gold, reset characters, reset everything !
All these console players going to come in and realize there no content the games filled with bugs and war content is still gated. Server merges killed a lot of warring companies on the lower tier, they don’t support war content for casuals and have driven the war scene down in players consistently by killing off any chance for lower tier companies to get experience.
BTW, no way will they ever make this wreck run on console without nerfing everything to almost nothing. Devs are probably going to add a zone, but only for the DLC buyers, because DLC as it is is way way over priced. A 5 or 10 dollar DLC for 30... and it is unlikely to go on sale, because Amazon seems to be one of those companies that never learns from mistakes.

PvP in NW is the worst I’ve seen in 20years in any mmo. If they sorted the game out as a proper PvE MMO the immersion would be amazing. Fresh start servers with slower exp gains whilst levelling and not having to farm so many items to level crafting that it looks like a phone number it would be great. I think that the main issue NW has is the developer management. It’s clear that since the game came out, they’ve not learnt anything and until they have management that has the ability to lead it’ll always be dead in the water. It’s a bit like watching a poor football manager destroying their football club because not only do they have poor leadership but they don’t even turn up to lead the team on match day. And why the hell are chest runs still a thing still!!!! Not only this but NW has shown not to listen to its customers in a time when players are getting fed up and going to indie games because indie developers have a personal touch and listen to the audience, instead of the egregious and egotistical AAA companies.

Most players like going into a developed economy with higher level players with higher level skills, especially since gathering, crafting, etc are end game activities. If a player is less than a 55 level, then don't bother even gathering nor trying to craft. At 55 just buy the level 5 bags and tools, then go at it. It takes way too much gathering to make mats... devs don't care. The game constantly takes coin from players, which leaves the economy... devs don't care. It takes way too much grind to get craft skills from 200 to 250... devs don't care. Devs take weaponsmith hat out of game for 6 months... devs don't care. Game has game breaking bugs... devs don't care. Game fails to load properly, when fast traveling... devs don't care. 100% of the very little the devs put out is bugged and FUBAR, because devs never test nor play the game... and the devs don't care. The game is dead... RIP, never to return.

Matchmaking in opr is such a dumb way to balance opr, role locks should be implemented, having MM won’t change the fact I can Q in solo or in a group and have 1 healer on my whole team and the enemy team has 5 , it’s so unbalanced and random, hard lock players into their roles/weapons during matches balance them in between teams to make the games way more fair and balanced
the devs should do a ff14 type wipe.. and just restart with all of the new changes.. on a fresh slate. for EVERYONE. not just servers. reset gold, reset characters, reset everything !
All these console players going to come in and realize there no content the games filled with bugs and war content is still gated. Server merges killed a lot of warring companies on the lower tier, they don’t support war content for casuals and have driven the war scene down in players consistently by killing off any chance for lower tier companies to get experience.

Devs are probably going to add a zone, but only for the DLC buyers, because DLC as it is is way way over priced. A 5 or 10 dollar DLC for 30... and it is unlikely to go on sale, because Amazon seems to be one of those companies that never learns from mistakes.

PvP in NW is the worst I’ve seen in 20years in any mmo. If they sorted the game out as a proper PvE MMO the immersion would be amazing. Fresh start servers with slower exp gains whilst levelling and not having to farm so many items to level crafting that it looks like a phone number it would be great. I think that the main issue NW has is the developer management. It’s clear that since the game came out, they’ve not learnt anything and until they have management that has the ability to lead it’ll always be dead in the water. It’s a bit like watching a poor football manager destroying their football club because not only do they have poor leadership but they don’t even turn up to lead the team on match day. And why the hell are chest runs still a thing still!!!!
Not only this but NW has shown not to listen to its customers in a time when players are getting fed up and going to indie games because indie developers have a personal touch and listen to the audience, instead of the egregious and egotistical AAA companies.

haha more of the fresh start failures. The devs have no idea what they are doing. Most players like going into a developed economy with higher level players with higher level skills, especially since gathering, crafting, etc are end game activities. If a player is less than a 55 level, then don't bother even gathering nor trying to craft. At 55 just buy the level 5 bags and tools, then go at it.
It takes way too much gathering to make mats... devs don't care.
The game constantly takes coin from players, which leaves the economy... devs don't care.
It takes way too much grind to get craft skills from 200 to 250... devs don't care.
Devs take weaponsmith hat out of game for 6 months... devs don't care.
Game has game breaking bugs... devs don't care.
Game fails to load properly, when fast traveling... devs don't care.
100% of the very little the devs put out is bugged and FUBAR, because devs never test nor play the game... and the devs don't care.
The game is dead... RIP, never to return.
